Yes Al it was just my computer. I should have restarted my computer. I just had installed the Beta 6 when I noticed the problem and thought maybe it was causing my problem. It's all running right now.

I have about a 4 or 5 sec delay from when I click on a slide and it shows the preview in the window. If I click to preview slide it will go full screen and have the correct image. Is this a normal preview. or might I have something going on with my computer. cc

Myself I can not recreate the error. If you zip up the template of the generic title slide We could try to open it and see if we get the same error. cc

I am running Windows XP.

I have been having trouble When I remove a slide from my show. I can remove only once then the key will not work again. Here are the steps I take to see this happen. 1 add a picture (Double click on one). 2 add a second picture (double click on one.) 3 remove the second picture (Remove slide button). 4 add the second picture again. 5 remove the second picture (Remove slide Button). on the 5th step I can not get the picture to remove. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Alan, One way around this is if you take your pictures in the show and place them all in the same DIR and also put your show.pte file in the same DIR you can load it this way. PTE looks for the pictures in the DIR that the show.pte is in first before it goes and looks for it with the path that is saved. If you have any music make sure you have it in the same DIR too. After you have created a show you can make a Template of the show. and PTE puts all the pictures, songs and Show.pte file in the same folder. This is an easy way to create a backup of your show. That can be easily burned to CD for later use. cc

One thing I would like to see before the final. Is if I have the show image unchecked. I would like to see the thumbnail be black or something. That way I know it is not the picture and is a blank slide. I have only played with the beta's a little, but I really like it. My wife put together a slideshow yesterday and she did not ask as many questions. cc

RonH, If you drop in new pictures you just need to go back to your timeline and add your transition points too. This will put all your timed pictures back in place. Your timeline is not showing your pictures. It is showing you where your transitions are taking place. cc

this is kind of a long answer. I hope I get it right. When you have this box checked and you have the Navigation bar on the screen. And you have the printer option on the Navigation bar. When you click to print a slide you also have the option to save the picture too. This option is nice when you send a slideshow to family that might want to save the pictures so the can have them printed. If you do not resize the picture they can save the full size of the picture. If your image is 4000 x 3000 they can save it. cc

One more thing that the Templates do that I like. Is being able to set the options I like when I start a new show. I like to have my shows set up with Fade effect only selected. left mouse click to be Prev. slide. (I don't like Exit when I click) Hide mouse cursor. My first slide is blank checked not to show sync to music and my default icon. Then I set this as my default template for new projects. Then when I start a new show all this options are selected.

Show first transition effect from desktop. I like this effect. But when I turn on the control buttons. I don't like the way they come on before the fade in. Is this something that could be changed. here is an example. 565 kb

What Audio Codec is picked. You can look at it before you create the Temp AVI file. Click on the Audio Codec Button. mine is: No Compression (PCM) and 44,100 kHz; 16 bit; stereo Maybe that might make a different. You also might try a WAV file.

You need to go to Custom Sync screen. Then check the number of transitions points you have. I think you must be missing some. Custom Sync Screen Shot Your number of slides should be one more then your number of Transitions. Hope this helps.

The EXE file will not run on a Mac. it will only run on a PC. This is why he can not open the file. From FAQ: 11. Question: Will PicturesToExe create presentations that are able to be viewed on Macintosh (Apple) computers? Answer: Not at this time.

I have to agree with LumeLux. The slideshow looks good. But not as good as an EXE file might look. Windows has a free update for the Windows Movie Maker. to Windows Movie Maker 2. I am not sure was was changed in it. But if you keep using it you might look into the update. It's Free. cc

Dan, You will need to use another program to convert the Temp AVI file that PTE makes. to an AVI file that will not delete when you close PTE. XP comes with "Windows Movie Maker" that you can use to convert the Temp file to WMV. Myself, I use Pinnacle when I convert my files. But I mainly use the EXE file because the Quality is so much better in a smaller file. cc

Thanks Bob, I am glad you enjoyed the show. It has been such a great time. I took FMLA for the month of April. So I had a lot of time with him the first month. The first phone call was on Monday April 5th around 11:30 am. We were both outside working in the yard so we did not get the call until later in the day. Then on Tuesday April 6th we Picked him up at 9 am. Monday night was the longest night ever. We both had our cell phones making calls on the way home. I wish I could have recorded all them calls too. We did not tell anyone before we went. The Mother and Father could have still changed their minds. We met both of them back in November. But after she had the baby she decided to parents. Then, we had tell our Family and Friends. It was very hard to tell everyone that she had changed her mind. But everything happens for a reason. cc
