Hello, I took some pictures at my nephew's wedding. Then my wife made a 48 page Digital Scrapbook Album for them. I then took the pages and made a slideshow. I thought I would post if for a few days. 10.5 MB My Server is slow so you may need to check back if you are getting a slow download. cc

The look I liked is a black background that will fill the screen. A large white text (36) that fills the screen over and over. Then when I bring it into PTE using the show copyright logo, and lower the opacity to around 2 or 3. Let us know what you end up using. cc

DPAGB I just have to say I enjoyed this slideshow. It was very fun to watch. And seeing the pictures before and after made the show that much more entertaining.

In time I am sure you will find that the support you get with PTE is far better then any other software you will buy. And I am sure when the next version is released. You will find out PTE is second to none. When I bought PTE I wished It had a few more options. And with each release it does more then just a few new things. And the upgrades are FREE. I don't think you will find that kind of support in many programs. I am sure you will get your key soon. But remember is a few years. If your HD fails you and you don't have your key backed up. PTE will send you your key again. (Free) and that is support you will not find in very many programs either. I am sure you will enjoy the program. and if you would like to see what others are making with it check out beechbrook There are many Slideshow to watch and learn from. One more thing to check is your Custom Sync Window. You may have 50 slides and only 48 transitions points. Make sure you have one less transition points then you have slides. If you go to your custom Sync Window you can find this information on the bottom of the window.

Maybe you have had the pictures custom sync. If you don't have transition points for each picture. The preview will not start past the last one. Go to the Sync screen and make sure it is in Automatic. Or make sure you have one less transition point than you have pictures. On the bottom of the screen. Total Slides 200 Total transitions 199.

If you are going to install SP2. Get a free CD to install it with. Just to have as a Back up. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=914701 It might come in handy some day. cc

When you create a template. You need to copy the Template Folder (show.pt) to the other computer and open the .pte file that is saved inside of your template folder. It should have the .pte file and all of your pictures, objects and Music unless you have added an audio track with the sound line. (Al has asked for this to be fixed) When you open the .pte file that is inside this folder. PTE will look for your pictures and music inside this folder first. Before it follows the path to try and find the pictures. I hope this will help you in the future. cc

I don't know about Mac's. Are they able to view a .wmv file? If they are and you are using XP you can convert the Temp avi file to .wmv with Windows Movie Maker that comes with XP. cc

Under your preview. You have show image and Comment. You can type the comment in here. Then press (Control and M). - Slide -- Set comments on All slides = Current One Ctrl+M Then if you go into the project options under comments you can customize your font and location. Make sure you pick a common font. If you pick a nice font that you have installed. Other systems will not have that font. So they will show the default font, Arial.

I also convert many slideshow to DVD with "Pinnacle Studio 8" I have no problems. It has worked for me many times. cc

"Show transition effect to desktop after last slide" Works Fine. But I get a Flash at the end of the Slideshow. Is there a way not to get the flash. I have tried different effects. If not, it works ok for me. cc

Have you looked at the new Copyright Logo option. If you turn the opacity down to about 5 I think it will work very well. You can still see the picture well. And if your customer wants to view them with out the logo. Then they can come in and look at them on your computer. I made a Jpeg that was full of the text "Please do not Print" Just to see how the option would work.

Sorry I miss read the question. The Gif will work but you are better off putting a color in the background. I just made a Gif with a whit back ground and Red letters. When I pulled it into PTE with the object editor it was already Transparent. I know when I have had trouble with a GIF in the past. I would covert it toa BMP then Back to a GIF. I like using the Gif because the File size is so much smaller. cc

With this effect the background image moves too. So, You will need to fade the image to a solid color screen (Black) and then push the text into it. This is my suggestion anyway.

Igor, I am still having this problem in Beta 10 After I reverse the picture order. When I point at the picture it shows the correct picture in the right Preview window. But it shows the wrong Thumbnail on the left. If I turn off or on the Text or click on any of the new three buttons. Then the thumbnails update.

Igor, The new File preview is working very quickly now. But to go along with what Harold has brought up. If I make these changes. -View --Flie list Sort Order ---Reverse Order The names of my files change to reverse. But the thumbnails do not change. They are showing the wrong thumbnails.

This does happen when you go back into your options. you still have the check box "Set comments for all slides as..." Checked. So when we OK the changes we make. We are also telling the options to add the comments again to all slides. If you go back into and uncheck this box you can delete the comments and they will not return everytime you go back into the options.
