Hello. I use the video controls to manually control PTE during lectures. I would like to have the capability to keep pan and zoom reverse actions when I go backward. Assume that today I'm zooming on a painting, and then decide to go backward to show again the whole picture. It would be nice to obtain zooming back and panning back actions. Today, I can do that using the cursor, but it is not easy. This is why I would like to have the same controls that the ones we find on a video recorder : > Forward < Backward (rewind) >> next sequence (slide) << previous sequence (slide) It would be very usefull when videos are included in views.

In the current show I'm having to switch between the timeline view & O&A screens as I add transitions & keyframes to move onto the next slide, to speed up my workflow it would be nice to have a "next slide" button similar to my poorly constructed example. Yachtsman1 :P/> I seem to remember the O&A screen is to be revised in the near? future.

How would be nice Developers could add this tool in PTE.Object and animation area to create animated text as caption or tittle or a animated comment for each image : "Marquee maker"

Now we can customise the toolbars in the normal working screen, it would be nice to be able to do this in the O&A screen. I seem to remember something mentioned about this :unsure:/> I have just started a new show where I'm adding slides & text to a long video clip & flicking up & down gets a bit of a fag when you are adding 50 + items. There is plenty of room on the bottom toolbar at present, I would like to be able to move the add slide/text/video icons to the bottom toolbar, please. Yachtsman1 :)/>

The latest version of PTE makes light work of adding and muting sound, but I haven't found a way of splitting a sound file added to the timeline so that part of a recorded commentary can be cut and moved along to start at another slide. Am I missing a trick or could this feature be a future addition? I appreciate this could be done with an external editor, but it would improve workflow to do it within PTE.

I have been doing some practical AV work using PTE 5.6 and during the actual process I sometimes have difficulty finding the image I have just created for the show from all the others in the File Panel. It ocurred to me that it would be a great advance to be able to hide all images that have already been selected for the slide show from that File panel. I could then just see the last 5 images I have created rather than having to find them from amongst 55 others . I am aware that if you switch to text mode the used images are a bit clearer to spot, but a button to hide/Reveal thumbnails used would be a good thing in my View.

Now that most new operating systems default to only running signed executable files it would be nice if PTE had a converter so that when a slideshow is published using the 'Executable file for PC' method we can later convert it to 'Safe Executable file for Internet'. This would be great for older slideshows (version 6 and 7). This might also stop some false positive AV scans on older slideshows. Tom

Greetings, I opened a show in V.8.0.1 and I noticed something strange. On the main screen, two icons were overlapping each other. At first I thought that my screen was having problems so I re-opened PTE. After a few seconds, I happened to move the Files List window to the right and the icons then separated. I think this could cause a problem for someone who might not realize that this can happen. Perhaps, the dropdown menu (with Fit All Slides...) should be moved to the right so that when the Files List window is moved to the left, it will not cause an overlap of icons, one sitting on top of another one. Or reposition most of the icons to the right of the Files List window border so no icons would be 'hidden' if the Files List window was adjusted to the left. And the problem varies whether you have the 'Show File Tree' selected or not. Gary

In my Cholesteral show I went back to adding timed points on the fly. I did this as there were 40+ slides I wanted to appear at a precise time in the narrative. Having the mini player stop & start buttons some distance from the + & - buttons makes the proces awkward. Would it be possible to re-position them as per my screen shots. On the same theme I suggested the blur buton in O&A is in a bad position as one can inadvertently hit that when one really wanted the opacity button. Yachtsman1. :)/>/>

It would be nice if we could change a color for all the slides with one click. Examples are font and rectangle colors. Not sure if it is currently possible. Tried the search engine but it does not like the search term replace color and then flood control sets in (sigh). Tom

Some time ago, pre 8 & 7.5, I suggested it would be a handy addition to be able to set the incoming & outgoing transition times which may cut out the obvious confusion of how when & where to apply KFSD or not. The amount that has been written about it would fill 10 pages of a manual. Just out of interest I downloaded a trial copy of the oppositions basic programme & noticed the feature was included, maybe their spys picked up on my suggestion. :P/> Yachtsman1

Hello In fact, i don't need resize files with AVI, MP4, VIDEO publish Why, it's not similar with EXE publish ? A proposition to work faster with PTE and have a new public (grandmother, ...) - PUBLISH SHOW – EXE – Automatically resize every visuals files during the creation of EXE according to an exit definition and ZOOM level of each file. If a file has 3000px and the chosen exit definition is 1920 large… The EXE must be contains a 1920px (100%) or 2304px (zoom 120%) or 960px if the zoom level is 50% Cordially Vincent

I suggest add this logo or another as equivalence of ToggleFullscreen F4 located in settings menu into pte area

I can add audio to a slide by adding video to slide. The video was created in PTE and is black 640x480. I can make the video transparent or set the order so the video is in background. The problem is when I save it as a style and then try to apply the style to other slides the video sometimes turns from black to green and there is no audio. Not bad enough to be a bug but it would be nice if we can use video and audio in slide styles. Thanks, Tom

Most of my custom created styles are very simple without key frames. After applying my style I have to reset the duration of the slide back to the original duration (example is a video slide). I click on the full duration link before applying the style but it does not change duration. I don't know how to set the style duration equal to the duration of the slide. Maybe add new option for style duration to be equal to duration of slide when creating style (unless there is already some way to set this). Thanks, Tom

I believe I am like most, in sizing the images prior to using them in PTE so as to optimise the performance of a slide show. I think it would be a productivity boost if it were possible to set your desired screen size i.e. 1024 X 768 for example and then to be able to drop your full size images in (doing away with pre resizing) , set the image as you want it within the slide and for PTE to optimise the image based on the parameters set . Also options to Auto fit, stretch, crop and do nothing to be able to set preferred default for this feature.

May I request please that we be given an option to display, in the File List, the date/time the picture was taken, rather than the last modification date/time of the picture file? That would be much more useful in sorting out images, especially in travel shows. Ken T (aplman)

When the user chooses to create an exe, there would be an option to automatically resize the pictures depending on the resolution width he chooses (1024 px, 1280 px, 1600 px, HD, etc...). Of course, if the user doesn't choose the option, the pictures are kept as they are. What do you think of this idea ?

Thanks for a great program ! But I suddenly found that I was missing a single function : When you create a multi-page presentation is very useful (in my opinion ) would be able to select " SET UP A SLIDE " add window transitions one more point : Go to the first slide after the specified time. For building blocks based on information in your program this function would be very useful . Otherwise, when you call one what that particular page , then the presentation of all the remaining Leafs continue the program. And you have to use the home button , and it is not always appropriate to have on the page. If this is possible , it would be very grateful ! ____________________ Спасибо за великолепную программу! Для построения информационных блоков на базе вашей программы такая функция была бы очень полезна. Иначе при вызове одной какой то конкретной страницы, презентация затем листает все оставшиеся далее по программе. И надо пользоваться кнопкой ДОМОЙ , а не всегда ее уместно располагать на странице. Если такое возможно, то буду очень благодарен!

The year is drawing to a close, I have my Christmas public show in the can & looking forward to 2014 where my first show will be one of this years cinema blockbusters. So what next? My spring presentation will be a mixture of my stuff, internet image based shows & shows from other sources. As my audience has come to expect a fancy menu led show, with video, 3D transitions & the like how can I go one better? I can't. This afternoon I downloaded version 4.49 which is supposed to be able to accept any PTE exe from different versions. After struggling for a couple of hours, I have given up, there are so many improvements in later versions, reverting to 4.49 is not an option for me, I might as well put all the exe's I want to use into one folder, number them in the order they are to be used in & leave it at that. :(/> My point, instead of concentrating on features that will have minimal useage, why not go all out & make PTE menu construction universal to exe's everywhere. I'm sure every AV group & camera club in the world would rejoice if this was available, just think of the millions of exe's there are that could be given a new lease of life. :rolleyes:/> Yachtsman1.

Following my last course in Cardiff I suggest the following items 1. Ability to edit a sound clip on a audio track ie - if you have a voice over track to have the ability to cut it into sections and move individual edits to correct positions. 2. Ability to save the final mixed audio track on its own as a wav or mp3 3. ability to see the audio graphic display in objects and animations. 4. ability to move multiple key frames ( by pressing tab or control keys) 5. ability to choose different transitions to images added in objects and animation section 6. option of both percent or position of key frames in objects and animation 7. ability to import 3d objects ie *.obj

Please please please ad a timer function "show from ... until..." To every seperate slide. For example " show this slide from 12.30 on nov 22 till 12.30 on nov 24". In this way PTE can be used for professional Digital signage purposes like no other app. I am ready to pay the double price for a pro license if you offer this extra feature. Also this feature will open a new market for your wonderful PTE.

My knowledge of PTE is based upon a few hours each week during the evenings and weekends. It's just a hobby in my spare time. Does PTE support hidden surface removal? If yes how is it enabled? I tried show front side and show back side options. I think it must already support this because there a so many slideshows that work properly.
