Greetings, Yes, anything would be nice to improve the current Trim process. When it comes to a little 'more/less', I know I can drag the following slide to the left to shorten the previous video clip. But I can't do it to shorten the beginning of a video clip. I have to go into the Adjust Time Range to do that. Is there a way to just drag the beginning of a video clip to tweak it in the Timeline? (Besides using the Trim Beginning of Video). Gary

Wouldn't it be possible to use I(n), O(ut), markers and use C(ut) where to trim? If you need a little more/less drag the cut selection to your needs.

Hi everybody, Beautiful summer outside, beautiful song from early 80's! Nice combination. Here's the Slideshow. The link to the You Tube video and downloading files provided. Just replace Placeholders with Photo or Video of your choice. Best Alex55

Greetings Jill, Yes, I understand this method and have used it. For short video clips, it works well. However, I was helping a friend that has a very long video...about an hour long. He wants to trim out many short clips from this video. To have to scroll around to find the next trim points in such a long video is a pain. And, when your method is used, each clip would have the same filename so that would also cause a problem. Using the Trim process, each clip can be saved as a different name to keep better track of the many multiple clips. I just think that the current process of using the Convert/Trim is really backwards when trying to use the triangles to establish the trim points. I'd like to make it logical and useful. Gary

If you use the Timeline view rather than going into O&A to trim the video, then just play the video up to the point you want it to start. Then right click & Trim Beginning of video. For the end point I just drop the next slide in at the point I want it to end. If you don't get it exactly right then you can always fine tune it in O&A afterwards. I find this method quick & easy Jill

Greetings, When I want to Trim a video, I play the video and stop it (red triangle) at the point that will be the beginning trim point. But I have to type in that time position (from the play line) where I stopped playing the video into the Start Time box to get the grey triangle to match up with the red triangle to establish the beginning trim point. The same process is needed to set the end trim point. It seems that this is a bit backwards. It would be more helpful if, after you set the red triangle where you want the beginning trim point to be established, all you should need to do is click in the Start Time box to bring the grey triangle to meet the red triangle’s position. And the same function should be made for the end trim point. The trim points, beginning and end, are usually positioned by sound when the video is played. The current way of setting the trim points seems backwards and more difficult than it needs to be. Am I missing anything…? Gary

you go from 0 to 720 - so it gives a complete rotation twice. By going back to 0 it will rotate twice in the opposite direction, ie going back to the starting point. K3 needs to be 1440 for it to keep rotating twice more in the same direction Jill
-
Then it stops rotating at KF2.
-
Try leaving KF3 at C=720
-
One object KF1 = Rotate C=0 KF2 = Rotate C=720 KF3 = Rotate C = 0 Not understanding why the rotation changes direction after KF2.

Hi, I apologise for this problem. Probably you use an old release of V11 ? Please check the About window in PTE AV Studio. I highly recommend to install the latest version 11.0.18. Just download it from WnSoft website and install. All your settings and projects will be saved. I remember there was a similar issue which was solved more than one year ago.

The Slide Time in Project Options is the default time when adding new Slides. You Adjust the Time for existing Slides in Timeline View. Move the Slides/Videos along the Timeline to fit your Music. If you have 'Sync Slides to Music' unticked then when you play Full screen the music will always start at the beginning. If 'Sync' is ticked then the music plays from the point you are at in the Timeline. When playing in the Timeline view in the Mini Preview window, the music always plays from the point you are at regardless of the setting of 'Sync' It was exactly the same in V10, no changes in V11 Jill

does anyone know why the zip backup option does not work for what i am assuming are large projects. i dont have a problem for small shows but when the show is of largeish size it does not produce a useable zip file. thanks in advance

thanks for response Macian, yes am altering slide duration now even though process is a bit laborious. i am an ex proshow user which had some very useful features for this type of thing.

I have not had any of these problems that you describe. There is no difference between V10 & V11 that would cause this. Even if you wish to adjust the music manually you still need to keep the 'Sync Music to Slides' ticked, so that it will play correctly with the Slides. I do not understand how the timings can change when you save the show & reopen it. Make sure you are using the latest version 11 & also untick 'Full Duration' as this can cause problems if you move Slides to different position or even adjust the timings. Jill
