Gulya, I respect your opinion, but I cannot agree. Version 12.0 includes significant improvements, new features, and effects, with 1-2 more major features which we plan to include before the final release. Multiple slide tracks are complex feature that affects PTE's core. We're working on it, and it will arrive when it's ready. The upgrade price for V12 will be reasonable ($36-49), and unlike many others, we don't use subscriptions. Users can choose to upgrade to V12 or continue to use V11, which we actively maintain.

So, should I assume that V 12 is, in fact, a sort of general upgrade (bug fix?) while we wait for an XYZ version to be released in a few years with more video/image tracks and the ability to mix layers like in Photoshop? Thanks Ghulya

No worries. not sure what the problem is but when I click on the image in the reply to Bert, it opens my Flickr Bird Gallery. Not sure where to go to from here. No time to make another slideshow unfortunately. Regards Mark -
No link (that I could see) below ALso noticed you referring to your flickr account. Not knowing your last name makes it hard to look up😊🙄

2025 Light and Flight - A Twitching Review

No problems Jim, horses (or should that be birds) for courses. I would spend more time culling to get to nder 5 minutes before other fell asleeo. I take thousands of images of birds each year - see the link below if you wish to review them at your own pace. -

No worries Bert. If you like something slower have a look at my Flickr Gallery where you can review at your own pace. Not as up to date as this, but still a couple hundred photos. - Last week

Quick Search in Styles and Transitions in V12
CorVdK replied to Igor's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
Hello Igor, It was not me who posted a reply to this thread. The last reply I saw was from chanfi22. Greetings, Cor -
No, it's not ready for V12. Sorry. We've started the work on this code, but multiple slide tracks are still far from complete. It will a huge change for the interface, the project, and the entire PTE, this is why we've been working on it for so long.
-
We mistakenly deleted a comment about an unused "Author" filter for Transitions and my reply. Please repost your original post in a new topic; this will help me track that question and write a future reply when we fix it.

Sorry, but I stopped it after 30sec. To fast paste for my taste to enjoy seeing the birds. Bert -
So, if I understand correctly, the new release 12 does not implement multiple levels of video/image, as well as multi-track sound: is that right? Thanks Ghulya

Nice collection of bird images Dave I'd like to see your selected top bird images of 2025 produced in a slower format. (I'm not sure the music really worked with images. Might just be an issue with my watching it at 5am and my brain not fully functional) Jim

Oh yes, it"s a very good idea (especially the number of slides) -
Quick Search in Styles and Transitions in V12
AlexRoma replied to Igor's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
Hi, for the styles, it would be possible to add a filter by number of slides involved and by orientation (horizontal-vertical)? -
Thank you very much Igor for the explanation. Good to know.
-
Thanks for this addition. I don't recommend to run two PTE versions simultaneously with the transitions window open. Because both versions work with the same global storage of custom transitions, they interfere with each other.
-
Additional test: With version 11 opened separately, all transitions work perfectly. With version 12 opened separately, all transitions work perfectly. Apparently, I have a problem with the buttons not working properly when both versions are open on my computer. (I did this to compare and verify functions for the translation.) So the problem is solved when I don't start both versions at the same time. Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
Thank you Igor, this is nice.

After activating a specific direction (clicking the button), for example to the right, the preview in project options shows a transition upward, left, or right, sometimes in the correct direction, sometimes not. Also the selected button gets stuck sometimes (I can not always deselect it), hence probably sometimes multiple directions being executed incorrectly, similar to a kind of random memory sequence. It's only the transitions with directional buttons that don't work well for me.

Captured throughout 2025, these images depict birds in their natural environments, shaped by the seasons, light, and their surroundings. Some frames celebrate the poetry of flight, where wings intersect with shifting light, while others rest in quiet observation. Together, they explore the artistic relationship between movement and illumination in the living landscape.
