  2. PSD in a software built for slideshows? That is completely beside the point. Jpg and Png formats are more than enough to create a video from still images that move—an apparent oxymoron. It is obvious that whoever wrote that confuses the medium with programs dedicated purely to traditional video editing. PTE is not that; I repeat, it is software that produces exceptional results from still images, transforming them in expert hands into something entirely distinct from video editing. Anyone who, like the writer, comes from the analog world—slide projectors, Kodak or other brands combined with Carousel units and controllers for slide changes and audio synchronization—knows it is an entirely unique experience.Especially when projections took place outdoors, multimedia (as it was called back then) became something entirely separate and different from the cinema of that era. Therefore, PTE, a program rooted fundamentally in the image, represents another emotional reality that shares nothing with video-cinema and similar nonsense. Keep this in mind, otherwise, it is just noise and chaos, which serves no purpose whatsoever. Indeed, if someone has nothing in their head, what comes out is a slurry of Nothingness. Behind a true slide show lies meticulous planning and purpose; otherwise, you get nothing more than the rubbish served up by the convent of the Web: NOTHING. 4. Hi, thank you very much for your help. I don't know what the problem was, but it's working now. All the best, Josef
  5. If anyone is interested, there’s a free program called Patchy Image Editor for editing photos and PSD files — it’s similar to Photoshop, but it has nothing to do with Adobe. Link: https://github.com/SethRobinson/Patchy A PSD file makes sense precisely because of its separate layers, and in PTE it can only be used by importing it layer by layer into a PNG with alpha.

  7. styria I’ve checked. The link is working. Look for problems on your end.
  8. Hi Bad Dancer, I'm new to the forum and am currently exploring the features of PTE. I'd love to try out your template, but unfortunately the link no longer works. Could you possibly make the template available again? Thank you very much, Josef
  9. styria, 1.Click on Ticket to the Tropics title at the top of the window. 2. You'll be redirected to the YouTube site 3. You'll see message Download Free Project files......... beneath the window 4. Good luck
  10. Hi Alex55, I’m new here and initially wanted to ask for the link, which I have now found. Thank you very much for your effort, Josef.
  11. I assume this is what you mean Mike Project/Options/Audio at the bottom of that window it says - Get Free Music If not then ask at our meeting tomorrow Jill

  14. If you can still find it the following software will do a good job for you: CaptionsAlivePro DG
  15. Nicely done! Thanks Alex55
  16. This style looks absolutely stunning, but I just can’t seem to get it to work. Do you perhaps have any further advice on this? Thanks in advance.
  17. Thanks for sharing, it looks great.
  18. Thanks, I’m glad you like them and that they can be put to use.
  19. Hello SoCu, A very nice set of geometric transitions. It’s varied and very well executed. Thanks for sharing!
  20. Wouldn't it be nice if the 'File Name' window gets populated automatically once you do a 'File Open' of a .pte file from File Manager? It is a pain to have to hunt through the folders to locate the folder with the associated images once the .pte has been selected and populated in the Slides. Gary
  21. Hi! In case you like geometric shape transitions, here is a link if you want to try them out. https://www.mediafire.com/file/owcke2r14qhaw8z/Geometric_shape_transitions.rar/file
  22. Thanks Igor. It's good to know that I can use my old Apple Magic Mouse as a Plan "B".
  23. Hi Gord, We'll try find this Logitech mouse (or one similar one) for testing. If we notice a difference in scrolling behavior between PTE AV Studio and other programs on Mac, we'll rework the code that handles mouse input. I'll get back to you later.
  24. Hi, Thanks. I’ve added the missing Spanish version of this page, so the link should now open correctly.
  25. The same thing happens to me, too. Changing the address manually—that works. https://www.wnsoft.com/en/blog/royalty-free-music/
  26. They turned to dust long ago, but their stories live on... "STORIES OF LONG AGO" - (Looping) - is this week's brand new music creation of mine. As always, it's completely free to use in your projects with attribution, just like my thousands of music tracks, sounds and images. You can listen to it here: https://soundimage.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Stories-of-Long-Ago.ogg And download it here: https://soundimage.org/fantasy-13/ Attribution information is here: https://soundimage.org/attribution-info/ Praise for Soundimage I don't often "toot my own whistle" but I am very proud of this: https://soundimage.org/praise-for-soundimage/ To those of you who have reached out, thank you for being so supportive! 🙂
  27. Pere, what is your language set to? DG
  28. After thinking about you suggesting different programs and set-ups, I thought I would try using my Apple Magic Mouse on my backup Mac; seeing as the Magic Mouse has horizontal scrolling. In Lightroom, Lightroom Classic and iMovie it works exactly the same as my Logitech mouse; the expected operation. Of note is that it ALSO works the same way, as expected, in PTE AV Studio! When the cursor is positioned in the file list, scrolling vertically works, scrolling horizontally is disabled. When the cursor is positioned in the slide list, scrolling horizontally works, and scrolling vertically is disabled. Obviously the issue is the mouse set-up. I'm not sure if it's something within PTE AV Studio or the Logitech software that is causing the unexpected behaviour. Thanks, Gord
