Thanks, Gary! I finally reproduced this problem on my two PCs at home with your attached project! Really it's a funny bug - how it possible?! We'll try fix it quickly now.
-
Gary, 1) Please send me your simple test project (source files) with 3 slides and no music where you also see this problem. Please use highly different images (colors) to make sure that we really see first slide. 2) As I understood flipping to first slide happens after 23-90 seconds after last slide was shown on the screen? 3) When the first slide suddenly appears - it stayed on the screen for all time or disappears quickly like a flash? 4) The first slide has transition effect - when first slide appears after last slide - what time point do you observe - at beginning of transition effect or at the end of transition effect? 5) What version of Windows you have intalled where the problem exists? Thank you in advance!

Dominique, Beta 10 fixes this issue.

PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.0 Beta 10 is available Download link: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-beta.zip (7 MB) Changes in Beta 10 * Fixed bug of previous beta releases with "Create executable file" feature after Save As for a project. The program didn't ask for a new EXE filename. * Fixed visual bug of previous beta releases with replacing of an image file in the Objects and animation editor when Image object has Border. * Several other minor bug fixes in the main program of PicturesToExe.

Thanks, Dominique! I confirm this bug. Will be fixed in Beta 10.

Gary, Sorry, we still can't reproduce this situation on our PCs.

Thanks for raising this important question! We're working on virtual editing of sound/music for next version(s). I hope it will appear soon. It's a high priority feature in our TODO list now.

I just activated advanced spam protection for the forum. For details please read quote which I've posted above in this topic. Moderators now can mark spammers in their profiles by clicking "Flag As Spammer" button.

Dominique, Please attach a screenshot.

The issue with quotes is fixed now - we didn't finish updating at that moment. Now it should be OK.

Lin, I replied to Mike here: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=67508

I think 10-20 minutes. And probably minor issues with some settings later.

Thanks for details!

Steev, How often v5.7 Beta crashes? And when it happened - just on startup of PicturesToExe?
-
Once we go to v3.0.2 Invision suggests an improved protection against spammers:

Thanks, Mike. I just fixed this bug in next Beta 10. Now it will works as in previous v5.6 - after Save As for a project, the program will ask for a new EXE filename.
-
We plan to update the forum to a new version 3.0.2 today-tomorrow. It will bring new features and new (optional) UI theme. Also it should reduce appearing of spam posts.
-
Steev, 1) Did it happen with previous versions 5.6, 5.5, etc? 2) I see that although you have Windows XP SP3 user interface (theme) looks as theme under Windows Vista. I'm guessing that you're using some 3rd party software which replaces several system files (DLL) in Windows XP to install another theme. Probably it can be reason of this problem. I remember exactly same issue several months ago and attached screenshot was same (Vista like view under Windows XP SP3).

AbdolReza, I see that text rendering slightly differs from previous version on attached screenshots. Some text labels even look more clear in the new version (as for example "List by alphabet"). In my opinion you set too small visual size of text objects. Nor current nor previous version are not optimized to display extremely small text. You will face similar problem with Adobe PDF. Even having special text rendering algorithm optimized for text reading in web browsers it will be difficult to read such small text.
