  1. Bill, It is a very interesting bug. 1) Do you have only one display (TV panel) connected to your computer? (In other words your TV panel is primary display in settings of Windows) Or you have computer display and TV panel as a secondary display? You know that slideshow starts only on primary display and you have two displays slideshow will not be shown on secondary display. If some software can force work of slideshow on second display it can cause such problem. 2) What screen mode use your slideshow: Fullscreen or windowed? (See Project options | Screen tab). 3) Where I can download this presentation software to test it with slideshows?
  2. Peter, Thanks! Dominique, This version 5.6.1 allows make smooth edges of frame to your Tanzania slideshow without visual defects.
  3. I've uploaded updated v5.6.1 Beta. It should be Release Candidate build. http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup_beta.zip * Fixed visual defects with greyscale Mask object in some cases (adjusting of opacity for Mask Container). * Fixed problem with false positive detection of Norton Antivirus.
  4. 1) What version of PicturesToExe you have used to create this slideshow? 2) I recommend burn slideshow again onto new DVD-RW disc and try again. Or copy slideshow to USB Flash drive. 3) Please try to play our official examples of slideshow: http://wnsoft.com/apr/show/Light_of_the_Far_Worlds.zip http://wnsoft.com/apr/show/Late_Summer_at_the_Garden.zip
  5. Dominique, There is a simple way to avoid jagged edges of a frame. In the image file "3dbook-frame.jpg" used for Mask add one-pixel border around the mask using 50% of black color (127 of 255 in Photoshop). It will add smooth edges to the mask and remove aliasing. However in v5.6 there is a visual bug with Mask which occurs in some rare cases (particular form of mask and adjusted opacity of Mask Container). And modified Mask as I suggested will cause this visual defect. We'll release updated v5.6.1 on this week to fix this issue.
  6. Xaver, If I understood rightly this issue it is right behaviour of the program. When you set "Default template for new projects" option it means that it will be used when you choose "New" in the Main menu | File. In other cases, last saved project will be opened automatically when you start PicturesToExe. But if you choose New project, then exit from PicturesToExe without saving new project, start the program again - you see your default template.
  7. Dominique, We'll try to add antialiasing option for edges of Mask Container in v5.7. I really didn't expect such case, because we thought that Masks usually have smooth border. But your works always exceed any expectations and borders!
  8. Peter, Yes, I see now. I do not know why Norton Antivirus doesn't like this file, probably because it is only 21 KB EXE file? We can add bytes to make it larger
  9. Jeff, Updated 5.6.1 Beta is available: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=62767
  10. Please try updated v5.6.1 BETA: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup_beta.zip In this build we've fixed the next issues: * Fixed problem of v5.1-5.6 with black picture if encode DVD-Video on some old Intel video * Fixed old visual bug with waveform on the timeline if update audio file. * Fixed bug of v5.5-5.6 with objects which used customized "Time range" values. Peter, We also fixed the problem with installing and your antivirus. Please could you confirm. Full list of changes in version 5.6.1 * Fixed old visual bug with waveform on the timeline if update audio file. * Fixed bug of v5.5-5.6 with objects which used customized "Time range" values. * Fixed problem with uploading of slideshows to YouTube * Fixed bug of v5.6 when mouse cursor didn't change its view when cursor was placed over an object with action (Text, Image, Rectangle). * Fixed problem with "Run Application" action of object under Windows Vista. Sometimes window of started application was hidden behind the slideshow window. * Fixed problem with "Wait for a key press" option and objects with actions. * Fixed problem of v5.1-5.6 with black picture if encode DVD-Video on some old Intel video cards. + Various minor changes and improvements.
  11. Jeff, We just fixed this bug. Please wait for the updated v5.6.1.
  12. Thanks, I've reproduced this problem. It occurs if remove an audio file from Project options when you recently used waveform feature. In this case PicturesToExe "forget" to remove a temp file of waveform and continue to use this file until it will not be deleted manually. I'll try to fix it. P.S. If do not remove an audio file, close PicturesToExe, update audio file and start PicturesToExe again the problem will not occur.
  13. Lin, I agree. Done in v5.6.1. On this week.
  14. Hello Bill, Previous version 5.5: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/pte551.zip But please could you describe in more details what problem you have discovered with the new version 5.6? Thanks in advance.
  15. AbdolReza, Sorry, but could you explain? This improvement 100% positive for all.
  16. Tom, "Rasterize text to PNG image" option still exists. It never will be removed.
  17. We have finished this improvement for next version 5.7. I remember we were asked many times for this feature:
  18. Ray, I confirm this bug. We'll fix it soon. Thank you!
  19. Peter, It necessary because when first sequence calls the second sequence (using "Run Slideshow" command) first slideshow's engine is still working and plays slideshow from second sequence. It is critically important to have: - Same version of .pte project files. - Same slideshow's engine (features, bug-fixes). For example, in v5.6.1 we've fixed the bug with mouse cursor and the bug with "Wait for key press". And if allow "Run slideshow" command between v5.6.0 and v5.6.1 slideshows we will have unexpected behaviour. Here is the problem and regrettably I don't know better solution. We think about releasing some kind of WnSoft Player which could play any version of EXE file of slideshow. But this solution doesn't cover current issue. I promissed add special tool which will help quickly re-build all linked EXE slideshows. Probably it will become good solution?
  20. Thanks, Peter! I've understood reason of this problem now. Yes, it is false positive. It already happened when we released v5.60 and Norton has fixed this issue. This antivirus does not like that a program has EXE file with name which contains word "setup". So it seems useless contact them again. We have to change name of this EXE file to fully prevent appearing of this false positive.
  21. Peter, Please try again re-install v5.6.1 to same folder over already installed v5.6.1. Will that error occur again? If problem happens again, please run installation of v5.6 over installed copy (5.6 folder). Re-installation (not clear installation after uninstallation) does not change any settings. Please don't run uninstallation of v5.6.1 because it uses settings/parameters of v5.6 (in Documents & Settings folder) and will uninstall it. Thanks in advance! I'll reply tomorrow regarding "Run Slideshow" commands. I need time to think.
  22. Peter, Probably your antivirus prohibits copying of SetupVideoInet.exe file (module for YouTube/Vimeo)? Could you let me know what antivirus you use? I think same issue should occur and in v5.6 on your PC. Please try install previous v5.6 again. I have to explore this problem. Like in previous versions. Mouse cursor changes its view only for Hyperlinks, Images and Rectangles with action.
  23. We've prepared updated version 5.6.1 to fix several problems. It is beta version, but I hope it should not bring new problems and will be posted as final v5.6.1 in two days: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup_beta.zip * Fixed problem with uploading of slideshows to YouTube * Fixed bug of v5.6 when mouse cursor didn't change its view when cursor was placed over an object with action (Text, Image, Rectangle). * Fixed problem with "Run Application" action of object under Windows Vista. Sometimes window of started application was hidden behind the slideshow window. * Fixed problem with "Wait for a key press" option and objects with actions. + Minor changes.
  24. There is a very simple way of publishing slideshow as video on your website without Youtube or Vimeo. 1) Download Uppod player. It is stand-alone 100 KB .swf file and txt file with settings. And upload to your website. 2) Choose Create HD video for PC/Mac and choose necessary video size. 640x480 for example. 3) Once PicturesToExe finished creating of MP4 video file, upload it to your website and insert the next script to HTML page: <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="uppod.swf" width="640" height="480"><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="uppod.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="comment=myslideshow.mp4&st=video3-772.txt&file=myslideshow.mp4" /></object> Many players including Uppod player have direct support of MP4 video files. And no need to convert it to SWF.
  25. Peter, I remember about this request. We'll try to implement this suggestion to v5.7. Scorpion, Yes. For all textes, including text comments and captions of buttons. Tom, There is another way: 1. Click on a slideshow to choose it. 2. Press "Space" key on the keyboard to see fullscreen preview of this slide. 3. Press "PrintScreen" key on the keyboard to copy image of slideshow to the clipboard.
