jt49, In the file properties, there is a "Main object" checkbox for the image, but not for the text. If there are many copies of the text, then you will have to replace each of them. If this text layer is indexed, it is enough to replace it once.

Tonton Bruno, Everything is right. Masks to limit the effect of the displacement map. The program does not have a tool for cutting or creating masks of any shape, so a regular template mask is used, copying and modifying which you can cut out the desired fragment of the layer. That is, by combining round masks, changing their size, rotating them and moving them, you can achieve the desired result.
