Hello Tony. Welcome back. You should be good to go. The latest version will install in a separate folder from your current version.Once you see it is working OK you can uninstall the previous version if you want to. If you have paid the initial fee for the basic version of PTE there are no additional fees. However once your license expires for the Deluxe version there is an additional cost. From Wnsoft website: Upgrade to PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.5 for Existing Users For owners of the Standard edition You can install and use this new version for free within the features of the Standard edition. Or you can upgrade to the full Deluxe edition of PicturesToExe 7.5 and use all the new functions. For owners of Deluxe edition You have 2 years of free upgrades to any future versions from the date of your original purchasing of Deluxe edition. If your license key has expired for this new version, you can choose any of these ways: use any previous version with all the functions for an unlimited time;use this new version within the functions of the Standard edition;pay for the upgrade to the latest Deluxe version. Upgrade Policy This upgrade requires a previous license key for PicturesToExe. After the upgrade to the new Deluxe edition (from the Standard edition or expired Deluxe edition) you will receive a second license key for the Deluxe features that allows for free upgrades to all minor versions. Your original license key still allows the use of any future versions for free within the Standard edition regardless of the second Deluxe key. Regards, Bill

Just an FYI for the group. Bought one of these the other day. What a cool device for your iPad/iPhone/iPod/Android, etc. !! http://www.hypershop.../iusb-black.htm Works great. I've streamed three different movies to three different iPads at the same time. Or viewed pictures while someone else is watch a video. Sorry for the plug. Thought it somewhat appropriate since we're talking about PTE transfers and storage solutions. Bill

Dave, I use iTunes when I have too. Have never really like it though. Anyway...when traveling I sometimes use the SD card to hold copies of photos/videos previously stored on it that I want to view/watch but don't want to keep them on the iPad afterwards because it usually gets filled up with new photos as I go along. I can reload the stuff from the SD card back on again at anytime if I choose to. It's really a travel thing for me. Extra storage! I'm I making any sense here??!! :wacko:/> BIll

Dick, My way is just one of many other way of getting the job done when you don't have or want to use iTunes. Very fast transfers. No wireless, or browser or iTunes needed. Probably many additional ways to do the same thing that we haven't discovered yet. :)/> Bill

Howard, Besides using iTunes this is another way to transfer photos and videos files to an iPad. Using an SD card from your camera, copy the photos/videos to the card using a PC. The files MUST be placed in the DCIM folder of the SD card. Then using an iPad camera connection kit insert the SD card into the connection kit, then into the iPad and simply import the files just as you would any other picture on an iPad. Only caveat is that the files you transfer from your SD card must conform to a standard camera naming scheme. Example: I use a Canon so my file names are something like 0A7D0001.jpg. So you would need to rename any video files you create (Example: mypteshow.mp4 to 0A7D0001.mp4). Works great !! No iTunes ! I used this method to transfer copies of Downton Abbey to my iPad Mini for long flights. Regards, Bill

Geoff, Glad you enjoyed my Bermuda show. It truly is a beautiful place ! Not sure what happened on your end when you tried to run it. I receive no such message. As a side note, I do have the PTE option of "Don't allow copy picture by "PrintScreen key" enabled. But that should only function once the show is running and someone hits the PrintScreen button. Interesting !! And if they did and attempted to paste the image elsewhere a message pops up that says "Author of this slide show does not premit copying of any graphical information!". Patrick, Thanks so much for viewing and commenting on Capturing Bermuda. I appreciate your words ! All videos were shot with a GoPro Hero camera. A nice little tool to have on hand. The video quality wasn't as good as the originals due to my file format conversions. I have much to learn with regard to video and PTE. Bill
