  1. :Paul, A delightful show with wonderful imagery. One of our favorite places to holiday. Thank you for sharing and best wishes for a peaceful Christmas and New Year. Regards, Bill
  2. DG, We have an iPad 2, and tomorrow we'll also have a Mini coming from Apple. What I have done in the past is to simple create a folder on my desktop called IPad images. In it I transfer any movies, PTE shows or still images and sync them via iTunes. You cannot (to my knowledge) transfer directly from an SD card to an iPad UNLESS your images/movies are in their original DCIM folder from the camera. I've even tried to create a DCIM folder after the fact and copy files into it. Didn't work for me. SD card works great if you are just moving/coping files straight from the camera to the iPad. Also I've had great success watching shows/movies from the iPad via an HDMI cable to the big screen TV. Resolution is great. Regards, Bill
  3. Mary, I am not at all familiar with Picasa. What file formats do they accept? Do they allow .exe files on their site? Many websites do not to avoid the spread of viruses and malware. Regards, Bill
  4. Great work Davy. Nice flow and super images ! Bill
  5. Great work Andrew, on all your recent shows. Tack sharp images. Great captures. Thanks for sharing !! Heading to Disney with our grand-kids in March 2013. Regards, Bill
  6. Maureen Once again your beautiful work. Thanks for taking us all on another of your great journeys. Tack sharp images, rich vibrant colors throughout, all the while showing us the everyday life in another corner of the globe. Well done Maureen !! Bill
  7. Maureen, If you want to replace your previous version, just zip up the exe file alone and use my DropZone Utility. No need to redo everything else. I'll make the changes on my end. PM me if you need my help. Bill
  8. As always Maureen, superb ! Tack sharp, perfect exposures, great lighting. On and on I could go. Thanks for sharing your image skills once again. All of us on the forum look forward to your journeys, because we knew once you return, we'll all get to experience your travels through your great photography and slideshows. Looking forward to your next holiday. Bill
  9. Jim, Great work from Gwen and yourself once again. It was fun 'walking' through your images and recalling so many of the scenes and buildings. You'll remember that Karen and I made the same journey a few years ago. But I believe you got the better shots. Thanks for letting us all in on a great holiday. Bill
  10. Very interesting indeed David. Thanks for sharing. A great way for us to experience it, and not get our feet wet ! . Good to have you back (from school) bringing us new PTE shows. All the best, Bill
  11. OK. Time to end the poll. Thanks to those that participated. I have changed the code in the "Author's Notes" section (only) to show email addresses. They will not be shown elsewhere on my site. Hopefully this will be beneficial going forward. Regards, Bill
  12. Charlie, O U T S T A N D I N G !!! Just magic. Thanks for sharing, Bill
  13. Peter, Absolutely fascinating !!! Very well done. Thank you for a very interesting journey into the life of a miner. Again, well done. Bravo !!! Regards, Bill
  14. Jeff, So good to hear from you. I hope your health is continuing to improve with each new day !!!!! I've been waiting for new material from you. What's up?? You keep us in such suspense between each new show. Hope your website is coming along good. Yep, not too many responses in my poll. Perhaps most folks are saying it really doesn't matter which way I go with the email addresses. As mentioned before, there has been absolutely no increase (or decrease) in the amount of uploads/downloads to Beechbrook since I removed the email addresses from the download pages. This activity remains about the same. The poll has been up for almost a month. Probably time to remove it and move on to newer things. At this point I would suggest that it sways towards adding the address back. Thanks for your input. All the best, Bill
  15. Tom, Thanks for your suggestion. That might be an option I'll investigate once I see how things turn out. I don't delight in the thoughts of all the codes changes I'll have to make though. I'm older now..... it takes a bit more time to figure this stuff out now-a-days! - Bill
  16. Thanks for voting Davy. Glad you enjoy downloading from Beechbrook. I choose to believe that tweaks and upgrades can help any system, so I'll continue to do them from time to time. My site is always open to new PTE shows. You've chosen to never upload there again. Not sure why, but alter all, it's your call. Bill
  17. Thanks for the kind words. I know you've been quite busy with school/degrees and such. But we also miss your great shows. Come on back when you can! Bill
  18. Out of 342 pages of WnSoft Forum members, I have received a grand total of 13 responses to my poll. One might gather that publicly displayed email address on Beechbrook are not a real issue. Upload totals have not changed since I removed the email addresses from displaying on the download pages. Folks appear to be more interested in download shows, and just skipping the small stuff. I'll leave the poll going for a few more days to gather any final votes. We're all aware that MediaFire, DropBox and other hosting sites, do not post author's email addresses. Maybe it's for that reason alone, but my observation is that more and more forum members are using these sites to host their shows. I would be interested in your thoughts and comments. Bill
  19. Jim - Thanks. The Poll is now available in a new post under this same topic area. -Bill
  20. This is a follow-up on the recent changes I made to the PTE Download pages where the author's email address was displayed publicly. I'm hoping this poll will receive more responses that the forum entry did. As always, comments are welcome ! - Bill
  21. Jim, There has been absolutly no change in the volumn of presentations uploaded to my site due to the removal of public email addresses. I suppose those that object to having their email addresses shown on my site still refrain from uploading for other reasons. Perhaps a Forum Poll is in order to see what the masses say. Bill
  22. Daniel, Beautifully done. Bravo ! Wonderful colors, great water reflections, smooth pans. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Bill
  23. Daniel, Wonderful photography. Always a joy to watch your shows. Keep them coming !! Bill
  24. Gary... as a benefit to everyone, are you suggesting that I add code for these additional areas of information by folks uploading to my site? Wasn't sure if you wanted it as part of the upload process or somewhere else. Obvioulsy that was what my original "Author's Notes" section was suppose to be. But we all know about that. Bill
  25. Ken, The link that Judy provided was a direct link to her show on my site. Clicking on that link within the forum obviously takes you to her show. Choosing a return link will always bring you back to the forum since that is where you started from. Users can also choose to post a link to the PTE download pages rather that a direct link, but then there are folks that don't want to be bothered with all the other shows available - they just want one particular show. How do we win in this process ?? Bill
