  1. Just an FYI for the group. Bought one of these the other day. What a cool device for your iPad/iPhone/iPod/Android, etc. !! http://www.hypershop.../iusb-black.htm Works great. I've streamed three different movies to three different iPads at the same time. Or viewed pictures while someone else is watch a video. Sorry for the plug. Thought it somewhat appropriate since we're talking about PTE transfers and storage solutions. Bill
  2. Dave, I use iTunes when I have too. Have never really like it though. Anyway...when traveling I sometimes use the SD card to hold copies of photos/videos previously stored on it that I want to view/watch but don't want to keep them on the iPad afterwards because it usually gets filled up with new photos as I go along. I can reload the stuff from the SD card back on again at anytime if I choose to. It's really a travel thing for me. Extra storage! I'm I making any sense here??!! :wacko:/> BIll
  3. Dick, My way is just one of many other way of getting the job done when you don't have or want to use iTunes. Very fast transfers. No wireless, or browser or iTunes needed. Probably many additional ways to do the same thing that we haven't discovered yet. :)/> Bill
  4. Howard, Besides using iTunes this is another way to transfer photos and videos files to an iPad. Using an SD card from your camera, copy the photos/videos to the card using a PC. The files MUST be placed in the DCIM folder of the SD card. Then using an iPad camera connection kit insert the SD card into the connection kit, then into the iPad and simply import the files just as you would any other picture on an iPad. Only caveat is that the files you transfer from your SD card must conform to a standard camera naming scheme. Example: I use a Canon so my file names are something like 0A7D0001.jpg. So you would need to rename any video files you create (Example: mypteshow.mp4 to 0A7D0001.mp4). Works great !! No iTunes ! I used this method to transfer copies of Downton Abbey to my iPad Mini for long flights. Regards, Bill
  5. Geoff, Thanks for the info. I created the show on my Windows 7 64bit 8gb ram with AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor with ATI Radeon HD 6770 display. Again sorry you've having troubles. Bill
  6. Colin. Happy once again to hear from another forum member that they didn't have an issue with my show. Strange the things that are popping up for others viewers. Sorry for the trouble but I certainly can't explain what is going on. Thanks for your kind comments. My wife and I were watching tv recently and low and behold there was a show about Perth. Thought about your 12 part series !! :)/> Bill
  7. Xaver. I do enjoy my 1D. Glad you didn't have any issues with running the show. - Bill
  8. Thanks for testing Ken. - Bill
  9. Dave, Well at least the show ran correctly for you on one machine. I am also using W7 and don't have another machine to test shows on. Appreciate your kind comments on my images. Bill
  10. Thanks Dave. Sorry for your troubles but happy that you enjoyed the show. But you guys are killling me. :)/> I can't reproduce either of these issues. The show closes perfectly for me once the screen fades to black and the music concludes. Strange !! Bill
  11. Geoff, Glad you enjoyed my Bermuda show. It truly is a beautiful place ! Not sure what happened on your end when you tried to run it. I receive no such message. As a side note, I do have the PTE option of "Don't allow copy picture by "PrintScreen key" enabled. But that should only function once the show is running and someone hits the PrintScreen button. Interesting !! And if they did and attempted to paste the image elsewhere a message pops up that says "Author of this slide show does not premit copying of any graphical information!". Not the message you received. Sorry for your troubles. Regards, Bill
  12. Thanks for the kind comments Jeff. Hard to know exactly what to do with portrait shots when you want to include them in a show. Enjoy that margarita. We enjoyed a few of those ourselves while in Bermuda. :-) Bill
  13. Great work Colin. Good memories for sure. Enjoyed Yanni's music. I've used that piece myself in the past. He has some fine music indeed. Thanks for sharing your six week journey with us. Bill
  14. Tom. Sending you a PM. - Bill
  15. Great colors, sharp images, nice camera angles - and yes... spooky music. Great job Colin. Keep them coming!! Bill
  16. Beautiful place Jim. Thanks for sharing. You've captured it very nicely, and I love some of your 'close to ground ' shots. Great angles. Bill
  17. Ridiculously beautiful Maureen !!!! One of my all time favorites. Just superb all around. Camera's simply cannot capture what you have presented here. Outstanding. I want in your next photography workshop.:)/> Please tell Mark that he, like yourself, is an outstanding photographer. WOW. Such talent. Regards, Bill
  18. Great work Colin. Nice images all around. Thanks for the ride-along. I enjoyed "flying" with you and it saved me on plane tickets. ;)/>/> A beautiful city, and what great weather you enjoyed while visiting with family. Architecture is great. Might have to put that one on the bucket list. Regards, Bill
  19. You are correct Daniel, it is a little paradise and we find ourselves going there over and over! All the best to you in 2013, Bill
  20. Maureen, As I mentioned in my email to you, Highland Interlude is nothing short of a professional travel video. Superb as always ! Great music as well. Your weather was certainly better than our last time in Skye. Bill
  21. Patrick, Thanks so much for viewing and commenting on Capturing Bermuda. I appreciate your words ! All videos were shot with a GoPro Hero camera. A nice little tool to have on hand. The video quality wasn't as good as the originals due to my file format conversions. I have much to learn with regard to video and PTE. Bill
  22. Thanks Mick. Glad you enjoyed the show. I know what you mean about the black backgrounds. I just don't have a knack for that yet. Lin and others are masters at such things. BTW... we love the UK as well and have visited often. Always a photo moment at each turn ! Bill
  23. Thanks Lin for your kind comments. It was indeed a good holiday. Bermuda is friendly, beautiful but expensive. Keep saving that spare change. :-) Having previously lived for many years where the snow often visited, we don't miss it at all, and a trip to Bermuda is not to be missed if the opportunity is available. Bill
