  1. I start with a single image slide then apply a slide style. In this case I used a Wedding one. Go to Objects and Animation. Right clicked on softfocus rose2...... Select File Info. The error message appears. Seems to happen whenever you choose anything that belongs to a slidestyle folder. Regards wideangle
  2. Hi Barry I can see where you are coming from because you are so far into the Photoshop CC family, and it would be too much of a problem to use anything else. That is true also for the millions of businesses that use it. It’s called being caught by the short and curlies and is synonymous with Microsoft and Windows. However, for a hobbyist user it is much easier to change and I would love to see some figures of how many such users did not upgrade their CS6 into CC. I suspect that the majority of hobbyists just do not use a good proportion of the features available in CC, and are happy with what was already on offer in CS6. For these users there are also other options which are also just as good for their needs, and far cheaper. Regards wideangle
  3. Whenever you use any drop down menus just have a glance down the right-hand of the column to see many keyboard shortcuts identified. This is a common feature of lots of programs. Very soon you begin to remember them and use them. Regards wideangle
  4. Is it greyed out like some of the options in my screen grab above? I honestly can’t remember the steps involved from when I installed CS6 but maybe there was the option at the time to include or exclude Bridge. Regards wideangle Hi JudyKay It seems that companies like Adobe have got you just where they want you with the subscription schemes. It doesn’t seem too long ago at a big UK Photography Show that Adobe were offering the CC subscription for less than £7 per month. (I still keep using my CS6 but have since bought Affinity Photo for a one-off nominal sensible price and get all the latest features for free to boot!)
  5. It sounds like you are wrongly thinking that a slide is always just a single image. Regards wideangle
  6. My CS6 File Menu looks like this, with a Browse in Bridge option. Have you not got that? Regards wideangle
  7. Hi goddi It’s for sale as part of a set of three programs at www.mediadigitronics.com Regards wideangle
  8. ".........nobody could possibly place a piece in the perfect place unless they connect it to an existing piece" You are still missing the point in that, as you saw, it was a way of presenting a simple Christmas greeting at the time, and NOT demonstrating the art of jigsawing, but so be it. As a follow up to Christmas greetings, some people make New Year's Resolutions. One on offer might be: "Chill out, enjoy life and don't take things too seriously". Regards wideangle
  9. You say " The perception of the viewer is entirely up to them, no matter the intent of the creator". OK I suppose, but this can sometimes cause conflicts if they misinterpret what was done or said, and then go on to voice their views. You are saying that from my own point of view I didn't take care over it. Or have you again misinterpreted? Regards wideangle
  10. Thanks for that, but the aim was to find a light-hearted way of presenting a picture at Xmas, rather than follow the logical way of completing a jigsaw. It was never meant to have the seriousness that you have perceived it to have. Regards wideangle
  11. Hi Bizz1963 Please take care to read my comment again. I said why I go to car shows and for what reason. I made no comment at all about what other people do. Of course other people make comments about cars, but please don’t generalise what I actually said. The same applies to why people join this forum..........for quite different reasons, not just to look for comments about their work. Regards wideangle
  12. It’s very obvious from previous comments which members have a competitive streak in them....... nothing wrong with that, but don’t assume that everybody should be like you. As I said before, the majority of people post slideshows for the enjoyment of sharing, not for critical comments for improvement. Bizz1963 As it happens, I do have a classic car and I belong to a car club. I do take it to shows, not with the expectation of looking for comments about it, but to meet up with friends and enjoy seeing other types of vehicles. That’s why I am there. It makes complete sense. Please don’t make these assumptions that people maybe shouldn’t be here unless they are looking for the same things that you are looking for. The forum is much wider-based than that. Regards wideangle
  13. The number of people who post slideshows simply to share and enjoy their content with others, by far and away outweighs those who are serious AV users looking for criticism to improve their shows. The majority just want to present people, places, memories of holidays, family events, specific events etc, and record them for posterity. They are just not interested in their shows being graded or whatever. Critiques certainly wouldn't be expected. It is only a minority who are looking for that. Regards wideangle
  14. This sort of style lends itself to music which has obvious distinct beats. Can anyone direct me to sites which offer free download files, and which have this kind of music which is easy to find, without having to listen to each file! Regards wideangle
  15. Hello everybody, Maybe an unwritten rule should be: Don’t offer criticism unless the submitter specifically REQUESTS it. Regards wideangle
  16. Thank you for that Lin (and Ruby!). Looking forward to seeing our grandchildren aged 7, 6 and 1 as they enjoy Christmas. Regards wideangle
  17. Merry Christmas everybody. I'm just playing here! Apologies - timing could be a bit more accurate and filesizes could maybe be smaller (approx 6MB and 4MB) but hey, it's Christmas! http://www.mediafire.com/file/n73mo5jh75mmulw/Jigsaw_Xmas_Demo.mp4/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/8i352gv7a4ki0mj/Jigsaw_16x9_11x6.ptestyle/file Also, this is the first time I've used Mediafire, so hope it works. Regards wideangle
  18. Hi Igor Thank you for that information. I’m looking forward to seeing some of these major advances in PTE! It’s also pleasing to see that you have acknowledged these other suggestions that have been made in the past. I personally feel that it is nearly as important to improve the efficiency in the working of a program as it is to introduce new features, so I’m very much in favour of the sort of improvements as suggested recently by goddi, as I am for my own suggestions of more drag and drop approaches. Regards wideangle
  19. Hi jmG-06100 Saying "as long as they have an internet connection....." is one assumption too far. Several don't even have a computer! Quite a few are getting on in years and are using walking as a way of trying to keep fit, but haven't walked along the road of becoming silver surfers! Regards wideangle
  20. Lin That is so good. I could watch and listen to that time and time again. Lisah was such a talented lady. Thank you very much for sharing. I, for one, would love to see some tutorials on this technique. Regards wideangle
  21. Hi Lin That’s exactly what I thought I’d done, but I must have done something wrong. I’ll try again! Regards wideangle
  22. Hi jmG-06100 I think you may be overlooking the point that Canico was trying to make in that dvd’s provide a good way for distributing sequences to several people to view. I send out sequences of photos to my rambling friends after walks, and dvds are a cheap option costing pence. USB sticks aren’t. Regards wideangle
  23. Hi Lin I think you’ve made a lot of valid observations there - let’s hope that things can at some point begin to swing back towards what we regarded as normality a few years ago. Meanwhile, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well. Regards wideangle. PS The paintings get even better! On that very point I’ve been playing around with your paint style by trying to create a new style from it but with background music playing. DaveGee, Igor and yourself have all referred to the workaround for including audio within a style. I’ve tried this idea based on your paint style, and it appears to create a new style but when I export it and try to load it on my laptop I get a “data error” message. Does your example above come from your paint style with the music included as part of the style?
  24. Hi lacogada Just use drag and drop. Drag one or more new images onto the slide bar which you have shown. Keep your finger on the mouse button as you move it left or right along the slide bar, and you will see a dotted line indicating where to drop the new slides. (You can also click on an existing slide and drag it left or right to reposition it.) Regards wideangle
