  1. Me too, but I just used the free trial at the time at someone’s suggestion. Regards wideangle
  2. Hi Barry As I said earlier, that was my issue as well. Just wondered what happens if he tries Winzip to retrieve it, because that worked for me. My feeling at the time was that it was something odd in the process of creating the zip for that particular project by Pte, because the resulting zipped file could be unzipped by certain software but not others. At the time I couldn’t establish anything further in order to pursue it. Regards wideangle
  3. Ronnie In PTE it's under File in the Menu Bar. (Create Backup in Zip) My advice is to use it with every project, so that you never lose anything, and so that you have all your files together if you need them in the future. Regards wideangle
  4. Thanks for that Dave. Slide styles are an excellent powerful feature, and the more flexibility they have, the better. Regards wideangle
  5. I think that there is supposed to be a part workaround for doing this but I prefer not to have workarounds. I would like the facility to go to a Pte project, highlight one or more slides, and make a Slide Style. If there is any audio which spans my selected slides, then I would expect that section of audio to carry across into my Slide Style. Regards wideangle
  6. Hi Barry I’ve had a similar problem happen to me in the past on more than one occasion. As I remember, in my case, Windows gave that message, as did 7-zip, but Winzip managed to open the file. Regards wideangle
  7. Hello Pere You should first use PTE to create your backup by: PTE -> File -> Create Backup in Zip. You can then place that Backup file wherever you wish, and then you can unzip it with whatever program you like to use. All should work as you expect it to. Regards wideangle
  8. I've been a big fan of Movavi Video Suite for a long time now, which includes a screen capture module. Ok, like Bandicam, it is not free, but for the wealth of features which are included, it seems very good value. Regards wideangle
  9. TheDom produced some good materials for PTE and was always very helpful all the time with advice and guidance on his products, but suddenly seemed to disappear from the scene some time ago. Later on this new link appeared with no communication, so don’t really know what’s gone on there. Regards wideangle
  10. There seems to be lots of mouse clicking that has to take place when carrying out the sort of slide style editing/importing/exporting in the Slide Styles window.. I'm sure that these operations could be speeded up considerably if drag and drop features were introduced as an option. There have also been requests from Barry and JudyKay in the recent thread ‘Moving a Style’ for having sub-categories of styles, and for moving several styles together. Drag and drop would be very useful for all these operations. Regards wideangle
  11. Just as a slight aside on this thread: There seems to be lots of mouse clicking that has to take place when carrying out the sort of slide style editing/importing/exporting described above. I'm sure that these operations could be speeded up considerably if drag and drop features were introduced as an option. Regards wideangle
  12. Hi You were halfway there with your example2. In the objects and animations window, you had 3 keypoints. The second one doesn't do anything, so right click on it then delete it. Right click on the 3rd keyframe and clone it. Drag it to the right then set a zoom value for it in the animations tab. Regards wideangle
  13. Hi Judy I had the same sort of feelings as you, and, after looking around, opted for Movavi Video Suite. It covers all my needs and much more besides. I have found it to be exceptional value for money (not a subscription) in terms of the different modules it offers, which include a Video Editor, a Video Converter, a Screen Capture module and others. You can purchase the Video Editor on its own if you wish. The Video Editor module is intuitive to use and Movavi provides some good video tutorials as well. I'd certainly suggest downloading a trial to make your own judgement. Regards wideangle
  14. This is only a small point, but the ability to add an audio file by using Drag and Drop in the Project Options Audio section would give a bit more flexibility. Also, a similar request please for adding videos using Drag and Drop when using the Video Converter module. Thank you. Regards wideangle
  15. Gary We can only hope......................! Regards wideangle
  16. I remember that there was quite a lot of discussion on this topic quite a while ago with both of you and others, and the outcome of the discussion then was what you have just repeated; namely that of a tickbox where the user could decide whether or not to 'Use Existing Slide Duration'. I'd requested that as an option as well, but unfortunately there was no response about the idea. [ I often need to create basic slide shows which consist of slides which are either simple images or videos. I have a set of custom frames in a collection of slide styles, and like to select an appropriate one to apply to all the slides. However, any slide consisting of a single video has its original duration overwritten and I have to spend a lot of time going through and manually re-entering the original video durations.] Regards wideangle
  17. A common sense solution............it does exactly what it says on the tin. Regards wideangle
  18. Lin Sorry to hear that you’ve had a setback, but keep determined and things will improve again. You have a passion for PTE which we have all benefitted from on many occasions, and that is something for you to continue to focus on. All the best Regards wideangle
  19. Hi Lin Thanks for that - I'm sure it will be useful to others. Regards wideangle
  20. Tremendous stuff, and impressive use of PTE. Regards wideangle
  21. Here is another simple idea for a style to use for the presentation of 16x9 slides. Projector Screen.ptestyle Regards wideangle
