  1. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody. Let’s hope that we can all look forward to better times everywhere in the future. Regards wideangle
  2. Merry Xmas Igor and team. Plenty of use for me, but no crashes. Regards wideangle
  3. Sounds like you’ll get the job sorted ok when the Pozi bits arrive. That actually triggered a memory for me. In the late Sixties I started applying for my first jobs, and one of the companies I applied to was GKN (Guest Keen and Nettlefold). This was actually the company that created the Pozidrive screw and screwdriver. I got invited for an interview in London on what happened to be the days on which the Pozidrive was first launched, with TV adverts going out on those days, for the first time. Needless to say, I didn’t get the job, but all the candidates were given a presentation box of a Pozidrive screwdriver and screws!! I still have and use that same screwdriver. It has a ball-shaped blue wooden handle, and I will hazard a guess that others may say they have one in their toolkit, because there were millions sold. Apologies for going off at a tangent from your show! Regards wideangle
  4. Oh dear Rosy - the perils of DIY! Lesson to be learned: Never try to assemble units on your knee. Actually, your video seems to show what the problem was. If you look, as the unit was being tipped onto its side, you can see a gap at the right hand side of the shelf, meaning that the connector hadn’t been tightened up at all, or at least not enough. Hence, it didn’t hold and that’s where it separated. Hope all goes well with the repair. Regards wideangle
  5. Hi Kieron It sounds to me that your issues all relate to what Jill has referred to. I wouldn’t try to get your new projects to automatically open in the version 11 betas. Instead, start Pte11 beta then use File Open to start them. Also, each time you install a fresh beta version, make sure that the box which Jill refers to remains unticked. That should ensure that double clicking a file will still open it in Pte10. Sorry Jill, for basically repeating what you have said, but I feel sure that you are right. Regards wideangle
  6. I requested this nearly two years ago in the hope that it would appear in a subsequent version, and it now has, so thank you! Drag and drop speeds up many aspects of working in many packages, not least of all in this area of PTE AV Studio. It will be popular. Another area for consideration, also previously requested, where drag and drop would be helpful, is in the management of styles and themes, so maybe this could be added to a to-do list in the future. Regards wideangle
  7. I've said in the past what good value these products have been. Now there is a major upgrade to Affinity Designer, Affinity Publisher and Affinity Photo to Version 2. There is currently a limited special offer for a one-off payment (no subscription) to buy a Universal Licence for £89.99. That allows you to install all three products on Windows, Macs, and Ipads. Hope this is of interest. Regards wideangle
  8. The 'Keep slide order' is something which is particularly helpful, and which had been requested by several people in the past. Thanks once again Igor. Regards wideangle
  9. This sounds very quick. I'm sure that it will prove to be a very useful addition for me. Regards wideangle.
  10. This is a great and really useful addition to PT AV Studio, which has previously been requested, and has now been included. Many thanks. Regards wideangle
  11. I've used BullGuard for years, and still do, and have been very impressed by it. I've never used Norton, so would be interested to hear if others have any comments or observations about it. Regards wideangle
  12. Just getting back into the swing after a bit of illness, and am quite excited to see these new features. As usual, Igor and the team have listened to what people would like to see, and have come up with some good ideas. So now its onward and upward with some learning and some testing! Regards wideangle
  13. Rosemary Isn’t it just a Style to Import into PTE? Regards wideangle
  14. Hi Rosy Yes, that’s probably the explanation. In any case, her post has disappeared now. Regards wideangle
  15. Emmma You are answering a thread that is very old. Regards wideangle
  16. A minor bug in PT AV Studio 10.5.7? I've just noticed the following anomoly. Go into Slide Styles and select any user style that contains some text in the author information. You can click in this text and actually edit and change it, although, as you would expect, you cannot save the changes. Presumably this text is meant to be protected, so it seems inconsistent to be able to temporarily edit it. Regards wideangle
  17. That will be a welcome addition, especially for keeping the timings on videos when styles are used with them. Regards wideangle
  18. Canico Backup in Zip already exists under File, and does exactly what you require. Barry That sounds like a good idea. It could still be left under File as well. Regards wideangle
  19. Hi Barry I think that these 5 Min Fixes are a great idea. They are perfect as tasters for people who are just finding their feet with the PT AV Studio software, but also offer ideas for those who want to try something a bit different. The fact that they are short, and just focus on one aspect, should make them popular. Thank you. Regards wideangle
  20. Jill This sounds a bit strange. Are you saying that you downloaded exactly the same file twice, and on the first occasion it tried to install a program, but on the second occasion, after you simply changed its name, it played as a slideshow………and that it had a different icon on each occasion? Simply changing the file name would not cause Windows to treat it differently. The way Windows behaves is controlled by the file name extension (ie the .exe), not the filename itself. As I said, all very strange. Regards wideangle
