  3. I have watched this three times it is so enjoyable. Superb photography, beautiful locations. Thanks for sharing, Kieron
  4. When I first started with this fine product I must say I found it a little overwhelming. The basics were fine but I wanted to learn the complexities of the program. Fortunately people like Barry alerted me to their tutorials through this forum. I find his products first class and revert to them often. I also discovered the Dom here and have purchased several of his wonderful templates. Along with Lin who has a wealth of knowledge and his tutorials helped me through the difficulties I was having. I appreciate all the help I have received, either free or purchased. I would not have known about any of these products without being on the forum. Just my two cents, Kieron
  5. I have just returned from a trip and have had the pleasure of experimenting with beta 7. I have stated in the past how getting the right sharpening for projection vs showing on a monitor was a problem for me. I just loaded a project that I have been working on that is an hour in duration made in version 6.5. I had a few transitions that still demonstrated the dreaded moire effect and I reduced the sharpening trying to minimize it. In version 7 it has been eliminated and the feature of sharper/smoother is a vast improvement. I can`t say enough about the ability to adjust the unsharp mask except to say thank you Igor and team. Now to play with the video, and Christmas is still 8 months away Kieron
  6. Good stuff Barry, Your control of the exposure using a slow shutter speed and still keeping detail in the waterfall is excellent. Difficult scenes to capture. Do you bracket your shots, or rely on the histogram? Kieron
  7. Hello Paul, I have good luck using a usb headset similar to http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/speakers-audio/headphones I am looking at purchasing a wireless headset as sometimes I feel more comfortable standing. Kieron
  8. Hello Gary, Our club purchased the projector you are looking at last month. It was recommended to us by three other clubs. We are fortunate because we project onto a 30 ft plus screen so aspect ratios do not really come into play. The price point for this type of projector can`t be beat. We looked at others with higher resolutions and found this suited us perfectly. It looks great no matter what aspect ratio you project at. Kieron
  9. Beautiful photos Dom, I really enjoyed looking at them. Would love to have them hanging on my walls. Thanks for sharing, Kieron
  10. Just a follow up to my previous post. I went back in and replaced the wrong slide with my previous correct one and resaved. When I now open it, all is correct. The previous saves still show the incorrect slide. Kieron
  11. I have been working on a large show for 4 months. It is 48 min long and has over 500 images. I am working on windows 7 64 bit. I recently downloaded service pack 1. Since I work on it everyday I use save as with a new date. I also will save a zip file every few days. Yesterday I made a correction and changed a couple of slides with new ones. As I was playing the show today from a exe file on my projector a slide appeared near the beginning that I had not placed there. It had removed the existing slide which I did not do and replaced it with one that I had inserted about half way through. As I could not remember which slide it had replaced I looked through previous saves to find out. Every (save as) with different dates had this slide in the same location. All other changes made recently were not in the older saved show files as expected. I went to an external drive that had older saves and zip files. I played these and the same thing. I then played the older zips on my XP machine and the slide was not there, it played as I would have expected. All I drink is coffee, honestly Kieron
  12. Your talent and imagination showcases this fine product. Can`t wait to see what you come up with next. Regards, Kieron
  13. I am using the same projector and have no issues between my monitor and projector except for the limitations of showing whites and highlights with detail. Profiling with a device like a colourmunki helps and using a lower bulb setting. All images in photoshop and Winsoft for comparison were converted to sRGB. The resolution is set to the native resolution of the projector -1400x1050 The only issue I have with ( Liquid Crystal On Silicon) technology is sharpening. I need to be a little more aggresive for projection. I will be interested to hear more on the topic, Kieron
  14. I am a little confused (nothing new) forget the projector for now. The members are saying that the photo looks fine on their monitor but when played in Winsoft on their computer they do not look right? If they do, then it is a projection issue. The photos should not look any different viewing them in photoshop on a profiled monitor and the same photo dragged into Winsoft for viewing. At least that is my experience. Kieron
  15. If you could give a little more information regarding the projector you are using and the size of the projection. The type and quality of the projector and if it has been profiled can make a world of difference. Kieron
  16. I can`t imagine the amount of work that you have put into this masterpiece, brilliant in every respect. Kieron
  17. The problem that I run into is projection. I build my shows based on the native resolution of the given projector. The image may look fine on the monitor but once projected very large it loses sharpness. So I tend to oversharpen certain images, some more than others. I ran into a situation last year projecting on a 30 ft screen. It was a rehearsal and I was dissapointed to see images that I had taken so much care in sharpening look like they needed much more. Fortunately I had the time to correct this. This probably has nothing to do with the discussion but I would be interested to see how people sharpen based on projection. Thanks, Kieron Sorry I missed the update in the original post and it may be the answer to my concern. "UPDATE 2: I've used moderate amount value for unsharp mask to keep natural view of picture. You can apply more easy unsharp mask or even much more stronger"
  18. Superb as per your usuall standards, missed your postings and glad you are back. Kieron
  19. Thanks Lin, That is very generous of you, and is really appreciated. Kieron
  20. I had the same issue a few weeks back and as suggested it was due to the animations tab set to slow down. once seperated it worked as it is supposed to. Your previous advice is spot on. Kieron
  21. Thanks Dave, I had forgotten that aspect, many thanks. Kieron
  22. Thanks for the quick reply, When you suggested animation I looked at the tab and I had used slow down. If I use linear there is no problem everyting works as it should. Many thanks, Kieron
  23. I am having difficulty with a transition using windows 7- 64 bit. I have a vertical slide that I would like to bring in from the side which is placed outside of view and want to place overtop of a background slide. I add keyframe to about 3 or 4 seconds in to the transition which is where I want the slide to end. Pretty basic stuff. Now if I want to maintain this position for a few seconds before moving it again I highlight the last keyframe, clone slide, and place a keyframe where I want it. The problem I am having is the transition will now move to this point and end here. There are times when this will work, most times not. I am doing something wrong no doubt, can someone point me to a solution. Thanks, Kieron
  24. Excellent photography, I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to more.
