Entschuldigungen mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut I do not think there is an error. Please send more details of your problem. Have you sent your payment for the program? To register you must go to http://www.wnsoft.com/order.htm Perhaps the Registration is slow because it is Christmas? herzlicher Gruß Maureen
  2. So wonderful to have such generous and helpful guys to sort out any queries so quickly on the Forum. Sending you LOL for Christmas (both types) Thanks for all the great replies I know how long it takes to type out answers & mine aren't as good as yours ! Happy Christmas Maureen
  3. Another exciting new development to look forward to Igor. I hope you and your team take some time off to celebrate and enjoy a holiday at Christmas. Wishing you all a Happy Holiday and a huge Thank You for all your hard work. Love Maureen
  4. Just uploaded the new version of my www.digital-av.co.uk web site. Still tweaking it as some pages still don't have the links to the pdfs and new notes yet. Will have to leave the video & DVD section until after Christmas as haven't had as much time to test it all out. Left it to the more experienced experts to work out first. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas, Best wishes Maureen www.digital-av.co.uk The old site had so much information but it was hard to unearth it all
  5. Hi Leonard I see you are based in Bath! You have many tutorials & lectures going on in your area. Suggest you go along on February 11th to see Ian Bateman lecture & demo in Bath. If he wasn't so likely to read this I'd tell you how brilliant he is - the best digital AV lecturer around, but that would make him big headed so just go along top find out for yourself! There are many other meetings too, so send me an e-mail if you really want to see PTE demonstrated & share your problems with experts or just friendly helpers. Next meeting will be Photoshop techniques on January 7th but that's about three quarters of an hour drive from Bath at Aldbourne. You should see lots of PTE sequences in the UK version of the 321 International Festival on February 18th at Aldbourne. They will be from all over the World. Great opportunity to get to know many PTE workers in your area too & have face to face sessions to learn ! There are so many sources for PTE notes out there I'm surprised you haven't tripped over all the web links, clubs and groups!......... especially living in Bath. Waves was based there for years but now meets at Trowbridge. If you need more info get in touch with me. BW Maureen
  6. Nothing wrong with movement.......... After all we must all move on ........... So long as it is appropriate there is no problem. Most of the judges I know are very open minded about it. It's the quality of the work which counts in the end and that's what should stand the test of time. We're running the UK 321 again in February 2007 at Aldbourne. The last winner had movement & was excellent ! See details at http://www.challengediaporama321.com/except they've got the UK date wrong - it should be Sunday February 18th and they spelt my name wrong Hope you'll come and see the judging ? BW Maureen
  7. Thank You Igor and all your team. I look forward to testing this new version. With Best Wishes Maureen
  8. Your words echo my thougts & sentiments too Fred. Very well said. A huge Thank You to Igor and his team for all they are doing for us. Best Wishes Maureen
  9. PLEASE don't reduce judging or creating AVs to marking in this fashion! They should always be creative and judged as a complete whole. Have you ever judged a life partner in this way ....... height... overall appearance..... voice.... sense of humour ... presentation... originality...... If so I guess it didn't last very long ! Sorry John but if we are reduced to judging or creating sequences in this manner we'll lose all sense of what art and creativity is about ! It's totally against what I believe in ! BW Maureen
  10. Depending on the content of the image I have resized in a variety of ways. Create a new image with the canvas size to the dimensions you require. Drop image straight from your camera onto the new canvas. It may be enormous so shrink it constraining the proportions keeping the shift key down in Photoshop. You may get a band to fill along the top. If you stretch your whole image layer then it can look slightly "odd" afterwards. However if you select a band on this image layer e.g. the sky or foreground, and then just stretch just the selected band, it can look easier on the eye. Especially if the part you have selected isn't crucial to being in focus as you can then put a slight gradient on the selection and add a little blur. Have done this to sky, grass, foregrounds and the sides of some images (radial blur outwards for portraits or the 'lazy lasso technique') with no problems. I don't like using an action for every image if I'm doing a serious AV sequence. OK for quick Photo Harmony or long slide shows. I prefer to work on each image individually. Still trying to update all the www.digital-av.co.uk web site and that'll then have more detailed instructions in image, sound & PTE preparation which hopefully even the most basic beginnner can follow I hope. Think Dom is doing a brilliant job with his site too & several French sites are tres bien! Above was written in a rush so hope you can follow the main idea? BW Maureen
  11. Happy Birthday Igor wishing you health and happiness and many more years doing all the things you enjoy, Love Maureen
  12. eye , eye I spy something weird on the PTE Forum ! I obviously have a good eye for a photograph ! Ian Don't forget what happened to Hampden Pye !
  13. Many Thanks Igor for all your hard work and we all appreciate your dedication. All the PTE downloads will also be available on the new version of www.digital-av.co.uk too together with some sequences made using the new PTEv5. I am currently re creating the web site but the downloads are available on the current site too. Best Wishes Maureen
  14. Michel I have the same problem as others. I am asked for a user name and password. Is your sequence unavailable now? J'ai le même problème que d'autres. Il demande le mon nom d'utilisateur et mon mot de passe. Est il non possible pour télécharger votre diaporama maintenant? Merci. Maureen
  15. Hi DOM So sorry to hear of your bad luck with the awful hackers. Such an awful thing to happen to your brilliant site after all your hard work. Will try to send any files I downloaded but been too busy to do much here. Hope I can help in some way. Good Luck & hope it doesn't take you too long to be back to normal. Best wishes Maureen
  16. Unfortunately I am also one of those who has registered but always have problems getting onto this site. I don't understand why as it is the only Forum I have a problem with? I don't have enough time to keep e-mailing Desert Dave each time & often get error messages while others seem to have no problems at all.
  17. I am working on a Beginners Guide to Digital AV with sections on Image Prepartion & useful digital tips & tricks using Photoshop, Sound editing and then creating your sequences using PTE version 5. It's a slow long process, especially when I have so many other tasks to complete too. This will be a small booklet for anyone who wants a hard copy of a simple starter's guide. Sections will be available to download from the web too. It'll be a labour of love rather than hitting the Best seller's lists. Maybe some of it will be useful for future PTE Help files. Think all the work on downloadable tutorials is excellent. Will try to have some sections of my work downloadable sometime in the future. Waiting for full PTE to be released first. Best wishes Maureen
  18. Friends, The results of the 2006 International AV Festival at Cirencester are now on the two at web sites at: www.avworld.org.uk here and also The Royal Photographic Society Av Group web site here I will post photographs soon. Please note that AV World now has a new web address at www.avworld.org.UK Congratulations to all who had their sequences shown and especially to the prize winners listed above. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Most of the sequences were PTE and it was good to meet so many PTE Forum members. Best Wishes Maureen
  19. I have always used the Acoustic Energy Aego speakers which many AV workers have seen & heard at my lectures & then bought themselves. A new range came out in December 2005 which can be seen on their web site at Aego M-system They can be obtained here We and many of our friends have been very pleased with these and they certainly fill a large hall and can be used at home. There are some threads on the PTE Forum relating to these speakers. Best wishes Maureen
  20. Lin If it was labelled Time we'd have guys asking how to convert from London Time to New York when they moved the laptop! LOL Maureen Only kidding Folks!
  21. Many Thanks Ron. found it all very easy to understand and follow. Well done & keep up the hard work. BW Maureen
  22. I spent ages teaching myself to build a website & now use Dreamweaver. However my sites need updating & I recently found many web templates. I especially like the range at http://allwebcodesign.com/setup/templates.htm They have lots of templates at a range of prices. There are lots of free web site templates too but be careful they don't keep opening up other windows/pages offering alsorts of things. I have been happily using Easyspace.com for web hosting for many years. Their current offer is £19.99 for a year 500mb Windows or Linux 500Mb Webspace 10Gb Bandwidth 10 Mailboxes Free co.uk domain More Information We're currently traveling between England & Wales very often so am not on the web very often. Working on lots of projects .........including the garden & housework Hoping to catch up with lots of PTE members at the UK Internationals at Cirencester in September. Maybe we should copy the French Forum and wear a big Forum badge with our name so we can recognise each other BW Maureen
  23. Ian is a superb lecturer and you can catch his tutorial techniques for free at most of his talks all over UK & abroad. He was the first to gain a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in digital AV and certainly keeps us on our toes with his vast up-to-date knowledge. Can I have the money now Ian?
