  1. And what do you do if none of the above work? It used to work for me but does not now. I am on Windows 11 but wouldn't expect that to make any difference. I know of another person having the same trouble on Windows 10 and Igor replied to him with the same query, but we have not succeeded in finding why Control-W does not work anymore.
  2. There is another way to do titles by using three identical images. The first image only needs to be on a short time, the second one you put your text on and can fade it in at a suitable speed and hold it as long a is appropriate, then the third image without text need not be on for long. You see the text come on and go off very smoothly at the speed you require. I hope that this helps, but is worth experiment with. John
  3. Thank your for your helpful replies. I have transferred the sequence to a friend, and after using Jill's suggestion has got it running. He is going to Host the Zoom program and hopes to transmit it.
  4. I have a sequence made in 2006 as an.exe file that I have been asked to show via Zoom. I do not have the original Project file. Is there anyway that the security block by computers etc., of old .exe files can be overcome? The sequence lasts 50 minutes so undertaking to remake it would be very time consuming.
  5. If you go to On Line help files there are extensive explanations and near the top is "Handling Audio Files". I am sure if you have a specific question it will be answered.
  6. I have followed ALL your suggestions from both of you with thanks! The program loads OK with images ready in the file list but I have lost all my work, this could be due to my not saving as I was faced with two versions and did not know which to save so decided not to save either in the end, having tried to save them on a previous occasion without success, to clear and make a fresh start. I cannot test further as I have re-created the project on my Laptop during the morning. Usually I only use the Laptop to do presentations, but it all appears to be OK. I use the PC to create new sequences. So thank you both for your help and suggestions and when I make a new sequence, hopefully everything will be OK.
  7. Davegee, Desktop. But I do have a Laptop with a later NVIDiA Geforce Card 1660 I believe, which I am going to try and produce the sequence on as I can't afford to waste time with the Desktop PTE Failure as I have someone coming tomorrow to do a commentary for it. Also I have had (since I replied to Igor) the same failure of PTE not responding, and a notice from NVIDIA that I do not have their card on the Desktop which is a Dell and I explored Devices and it states the 1050 Graphics Card! I am just going round in circles with this matter on the Desktop. If you can sort me out I will be very grateful. I have cancelled an all day engagement to try and cope with the problem. I presume using Alternate Renderer may have hidden the NVIDIA Graphics Card from NVIDIA? John R
  8. Igor, Graphics Card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 TI I tried to update drivers but ran into difficulties in trying to establish an account, which I think I already have as I get communications from them. Anyway I abandoned that and went onto your next suggestion "Alternate renderer". I restarted the computer and opened PTE AV Studio and it did open without the non-responsive notification and listed all the images in the file list but not in the slide list so I presume I have lost all my previous work and will have to start afresh from NEW, but I am unable to do that today, so will have to see what happens when I try again. John R
  9. Every time I open PTE AV Studio 10 my screen comes up with program not responding. A second try does bring up the program with the file selected with all the images ready and I have brought them down and constructed a sequence which I have saved. Next time I go to the program the initial 'no responding' occurs. The second try brings back the slides listed but all the work of setting up the sequence has been lost and the title entered initially has changed to project 1. Going to where the project files have been saved eg AV project files and using the nominated title returns Project 1 - do you want to save it and I cannot get my work back. Obviously this should not happen, what should I do please?
  10. David, I have just conducted an experiment where I have put an MP4 video into PTE and made a menu containing other sequences as an .exe menu which returns to the menu when the video sequence has ended. Admittedly I have run this from my laptop through a HDMI lead to my TV and the quality is first class equalling an .exe file or MP4 video file on TV so I cannot see your concern on quality. There was no jerkiness at all, and I wonder if the jerkiness you mention comes from your laptop which may be having difficulty with the latest programs or you ran it on battery instead of mains?
  11. If you put wnsoft.com into your browser then click on Support>forum and in the search box put in Making a Screen menu.pdf and then click on the pdf heading you can download the pdf file. John
  12. The Mp4 Video can be put into PTE and then an .exe menu can made. The Chapters can be put into separately into PTE for the menu to be constructed. I have put a tutorial on this site showing how to make the menu, as I had a similar problem myself. I have found the videos run just as well in PTE as they did as an MP4 file.
  13. After the splendid help I received to my query of including .exe files and Mp4 Video I have tested the attached Tutorial PDF file which may be of use to others. John Making an AV Menu.pdf
  14. Manu thanks for all your suggestions, I think putting the video into PTE may be my best option, but I will look into the other options. John
