Hi Bruce first you have to check the box "Preview from current view" in : Settings -> Preferences -> Toolbar and you will obtain an new Icon at the bottom of the PTE creen

I try a very simple project as you with 5 secondes duration slide and 1.5 transition duration. And the last slide duration is always 5" with mark "Full Slide Duration" set to On or OFF PTE 11 build 3

Just for the fun I tested Papyrus on a Windows computer and PTE V11 : it's OK
