  1. Barry didn't make it with PTE. It's probably a false virus, but no problem today with PTE.
  2. Samething for me : Miss Mercy John members N° 5751 at 6h27 pm Here is my email address (mercyjohn2004@yahoo.com ) PM delete
  3. I think it's because the background of the first slide isn't the picture of the background but a black color. I haven't try but it must be the reason.
  4. I try your template, it run fine, no problem, I didn't use this method because I have a zoom at 400% and it would have need 42 pictures, it would have been too heavy (about 54 Mo in graphic card memory) to run on not powerfull PC. It's why I used this method. Since I have found another method, more complex but without frame. I hope use it soon in a new slideshow.
  5. Very nice slideshow and nice photos for those who can see it. I tried your add-on, there are 2 problems at 1600 x 1200 : a white line on the left and the bottom of the screen and the windows taskbar is not hide. I made a little utility call Background which work on all screen definitions until 4096 x 3072 (Lin wrote one day that soom screens are to day at 3840 x 2160). It launch your slideshow. For both utilities, it would have been better that the tiled background picture of the first slide of your slideshow is the same that your background. It would be perfect and impossible to see any difference between the utility and your slideshow. I made it with PTE V4.49 because V5 can't do that and use Marcovelo's utility "Hidetaskbar" as I did a long time ago in Corsica, so there isn't the windows' taskbar.
  6. I made a background which covers all the screen about is the format until 4096 x 3072 and launches automatically a slideshow. It's make with PTE V4.49 because it's impossible to do it with V5.1 and it use Marcovelo's utility 'Hidetaskbar" (thanks to him). For this exemple, it launch Barry's slideshow "Solitude". It would have been necessary that the Tiled background picture of the first slide of this show is the same picture than this background in order to don't see any difference betweem the 2 backgrounds. The template and an exe are in the zip file and it's necessary than the 2 exe files (Background.exe and Hidetaskbar.exe) are in the same folder as Solitude.exe Of course, you can use or mofify it freely for your own needs. Here is Background
  7. I think you have just to put the format at 15/10 PC, it must be enough, if I have well understand your problem.
  8. That's right, it's enough difficult to do, but the most difficult was to assembly about 30 photos to make the background zoom (68:1). That's an idea, but to heavy, it wouldn't have run correctly on not powerfull PC. You can look at the template here how it's done. You're right, I tought to mask it on the main zoom not on this photo, I'll probably modify this photo, thanks for this good remark.
  9. Thanks Lin, Thanks Tom for your comments. I agree that PTE isn't today the good tool to do this job, but now you know what is possible to do or not with PTE about your idea and we know that in extrem conditions PTE works always fine.
  10. Another test about clock. It's only a 12 hours clock because the file to make a 24 hours clock would be too large, this PTE template is 69 Mo, but the exe file only 16 Mo. I can't have more on my new ladtop which is a 2Go RAM. To do the complete clock, it needs 4Go of RAM and the PTE file would be almost 140 Mo. You'll find the template, a screensaver (with 60 pictures) and a windowed exe here (format = 16/10 but you can change it in the template). This template can't be used if you have less than 2 Go RAM memory and it take a lot of time to open and to create a file. The exe file run on a normal PC, but it take a big delay to start. Click on the numbers of the clock to make it at the good time. Those exe files, made from a very big template can't start from a batch file (it's the same for Lin's test "Earth and moon"), so I think that Tom will be unhappy, he had this idea. Of course, this template is free but can't be used to sale to another member of this forum.
  11. Thank Peter, I just finish another one, a digital one. I am putting it on line. The wtach run at the exact time since a week.
  12. The difficulty of your demo is the movement of the earth which is slow and it's more difficult than a quick rotation as I did with Hubble, I just need 36 pictures I think, as it's neccessary to change the picture each 40ms (about) to have a good effect and your rotation is more than 10 seconds, it needs a lot of pictures ( about the duration of the rotation divide by 40 ms). For little objects we can have less objects but with a Fade in/out effect between 2 objects, it also depending of the picture. For instance object 1 = 40 ms, effect between object 1 and Object 2 = 40 ms and Object 2 = 40 ms and so on, but it's still a long job to do.
  13. Well done, that seems simple but it need a lot of work to do. I have just a jump between slides, my graphic card isn't enough good for the demo. Wideangle's challenge is done
  14. Look at Lin's demo here, simple but probably a lot of work, I think about 360 pictures only for the earth, maybe more.
  15. You just have to cross the channel, I have both, whiskey and whisky, but maybe you prefer Cognac
  16. Very nice "Success story" and it's only the beginning. Thanks Marcel for this great work.
  17. Barry, I quite agree with you about DVD quality today, I wait until TV are Full HD to buy one and I bought also a new ladtop with HDMI ouput, so I can see all the exe slideshows without any distorsion. The result is fantastic and I think that more and more people will do that in the future. Of course, I'll do as you if I made a travel.... I'll wait.
  18. Some as me want to see slideshows, (this one for exemple) on a HDTV, it's quite different of a PC monitor... and you can take a whisky when seeing the slideshow on the TV
  19. In France it seem it's the 16/10 format which is in all the shops and in the futur we have to think to HDTV. But today most of the PC are still 1024 x 768. In order it run even on HDTV and on 1600 x 1200 screen, your window must be at least of 1920 x 1200. Since a long time, for original mode slideshow (V4) I have a background which is 2048 x 1536, so I can see my old slideshows without any problem, even on HDTV. I never had pictures more than 1024 x 768 in original mode, too many people can't see more.
  20. Thanks Igor, I try it, it cut the slide, that's quite normal and the screen is cover. Can be interesting when Slideshows are in 16/9 format on a 4/3 display.
  21. A good method to have a better result is to have a graphic card with a HDMI output and connect it directly at your HDTV, so there will not have any default between the files and the result, only those of the scan.
  22. For the rotation, look here, or on my page and download Hubble V5 (it was made with V5 béta and I don't do it again with newest version). It could be possible to do a zoom of that, but you need several photos (I think 36 is the good number for a rotation of 360°). If you want your slideshow is good on all PC, don't use too big pictures (400x300 for instance) because of the graphic card memory.
