  1. Incredible - hard to believe that this it from PTE! A true artist and a master at PTE.
  2. Very smooth on my HP laptop with 2 Ghz CPU. I haven't done much photography for the past year, but I follow the Forum. Your latest PTE version and YouTube capability is great - I'll have to get back into it. Bill
  3. I get the same results on YouTube. However, playing on your blog is loud and clear. Is the avi the same as the one you placed on YouTube? What I find interesting is that converted PTEs to avi can play on the Web. I hope we see more PTE samples on the Intenet
  4. Brian, since you have the program in hand, could you make a quick test of a short slide show using existing images, run them through the Bulent app, post it on YouTube and let us see it for a few days just to verify the process. If this works as advertised and as you say, this could be a very exciting means of getting direct download of PTE slide shows with out the laborious process of downloading an .exe file to look at.
  5. Brian, this seems interesting but as Lin says, is it smooth with PTE? There has been a lot of interest for a long time in easily posting slide shows directly to the Internet, such as via Utube or GoogleVideo, but it should be as a minimum of 15 frames/sec to be acceptable.
  6. Can someone give me a URL which announced beta 9.0? I am only at 8u now.
  7. Is beta 9.0 out? If so, another message I didn't get. Bill
  8. Just went back to Mail2Web and there were indeed 5 messages for today that did not come into my Inbox - however, no Wnsoft messages. I have been running a rather crippled version of CA AV which is provided free by my Time Warner Roadrunner ISP. In Vista, this as not worked well, and that may have been the problem. TW is upgrading the CA AV for proper Vista compatibly this month. In the meantime, I am installing a trial version of TrendMicro which is recommended by MS as compatible with Vista. We'll see how that goes - thank for the input. Bill
  9. Well, at least I received 3 of them!
  10. OK, I ran the mail program, but as I had just clicked Send/Receive, there was no mail on the server. I am getting some Forum messages, but the mystery to me is that according to TheDom, there are 10 to 15 messages a day from the Forum, but I'm not getting all of them. All my other email and newsletter subscriptions come in fine. Bill
  11. Thanks, I am subscribed to the Forum OK, but still only receiving 1 or 2 messages a day.
  12. That's what I want to do (as I had previously) - subscribe to the PTE forum. Where do I go to in Invision to do that?
  13. Thanks - I ran it, no CW files found. However, I use Firefox and I noticed that it runs for IE (which a don't use unless there is a M$ requirement which will only use IE!) What's odd is that I am now getting an occasional email, but only 1 or 2 a day, and TheDom says there are the usual 10-15. Bill
  14. Brian, I could not find CWShredder on the Trend Micro website. I did run House Call, but it found no problems. So the mystery of the limited Wnsoft postings still remains. Well, the one or two I do receive is better than the zero PTE emails of the past 2 months!
  15. I don't think I have a Vista problem or virus as all my other email newsletter subscriptions and web access are all working well. I have the firewall up, have UAC on the Vista version is a release (Home Premium) and all updates installed. However, I may try your Trend Micro file. Thanks for the input. What's the consensus of final release of v5.0?
  16. Thanks for your response Dom - first time I've had an indication that I got through to a Forum member. Somehow I am missing a lot of messages if 10-15 a day go out. How can I get that corrected in Invision? I didn't miss too much as I think I have that version of 5.0. However, I'm still mystified by dropping off, then mysteriously back on, and now only 1 message a day. I have been playing with Vista for many months (and now on full release) but that has not affected any of my other Internet connections.
  17. I was inadvertently dropped from the Forum about 2 months ago. I sent emails to Wnsoft, & Igor with no response. Suddenly a couple of days ago, I received a Forum message. I had all kinds of trouble to reinstate my profile to track messages and now I am trying for the first time since off to send a new reply. Has anyone had this experience on the Forum? I notice that I have been getting only 1 or 2 Forum emails a day. Is this the true state of the Forum traffic? Also, can someone fill me in on status of PTE v5 betas - what number, or is 5 in final release? Any short update would be greatly appreciated. Bill Harkins
  18. Hi guys - I haven't been getting my emailed Forum notices for a few days lately. In checking the main WnSoft Forums page, my profile is still intact, I can read messages, and hopefully this post goes out. Any suggestion on how to get back onto the email subscription?
  19. Hope your recovery occurs rapidly. Vision is the most important part of our computer experience. We should all be careful of our overall health and eyesight.
  20. Glad to hear that Barry will still be with us on a global basis. His tutorials are the greatest!
  21. Happy to see your new PTE 5 DVD. Now I hope I can start to understand the intricacies of Igor's masterpiece.
  22. Audacity does everything I need (for v 4.48, that is) and the price is free.
  23. At present, I am not using v5.0 for slide shows until things settle down. Too many betas to keep up with so I'm happy with the "old" version until final release.
  24. OK, it "sort of" worked, but the edges are very hard - where is the feathering capability? The soft brush doesn't work either. I think I'll stick with the tried and true Photoshop selection techniques with better control and feathered edges. And it's about the same time to make the selection.
  25. I tried it but it seemed buggy. I could not get the black background mask to show the extracted image inside the selected area. Would be good if it worked reliably.
