  4. Apologies for not replying sooner after the prompt replies. Yes, I could create a cut out using PS etc. but I was hoping to be able to do this easily from within PTE . But you are right, in the absence of PTE, then its PS (actually for me it'll be Affinity but that's a point of detail).
  5. Nice work on the text personally I'd prefer changing images every 3-5 seconds
  6. Pleased how this short AV turned out after some experimenting with the text. The Great Egret is the largest of the Australian egrets. Identification The Great Egret's overall plumage is white, and, for most of the year, when not breeding, the bill and facial skin are yellow. The feet are dark olive-grey or sooty black, as are the legs. During the breeding season, the bill turns mostly black and the facial skin becomes green. Also at this time, long hair-like feathers (nuptial plumes) hang across the lower back, and the legs become pinkish-yellow at the top. Young Great Egrets are similar to the adults, but have a blackish tip to the bill. Habitat Great Egrets prefer shallow water, particularly when flowing, but may be seen on any watered area, including damp grasslands. Great Egrets can be seen alone or in small flocks, often with other egret species, and roost at night in groups. Distribution Great Egrets occur throughout most of the world. They are common throughout Australia, with the exception of the most arid areas.
  7. Ok, we'll check again.
  8. Would it be easier to save the project as a different name rather than move slides? I use this a bit to create different versions of the same slide set to different music and transitions?
  9. Nice, well-composed, and tells a great story. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Thanks for the response, Jill. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Not the best option but your idea of creating separate projects might work. I will experiment.
  12. Thanks a lot digartal and to everyone who liked it.
  13. Well crafted, thanks for sharing.

  15. I'm not sure if it's a problem or how it normally works, but depending on the slide's position, the timing changes. I'll show you a video... https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/6f7beef4-1ae6-4b88-a66a-3a99bc42d081
  16. Can you try a new special version (Beta 13 Build 1): https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pte12abc/b13/pteavstudio-setup.exe If fixes this issue with a slide duration. Only one improvement. Create a new slide style (or update existing slide style).
  17. Hello everyone. A retro-style design project for you. Download link and description on YouTube.
  18. Hi Mary, I think what you suggest is the only way. Split the audio and link it to the specific slides. But every time you add in extra slides (or remove slides) that portion of the audio will shift. Unless you add/remove in Timeline View, which can be tricky. Something you could try is to maybe copy a section of Slides that you are looking at changing to a new project and play with it there. Then once happy copy those slides back to your main project. It is not going to be easy whichever way you do it. This is why I almost always build up my projects and sounds one step at a time, making sure I am happy before adding the next section. Good luck Jill
  19. I sometimes have problem focusing my digital camera (Nikon P950) on birds when they are nesting in trees. My camera does not have a manual focus ring. In Affinity I select the bird and create a mask, then use a Live Filter Light layer with texture option which creates a bump map of the image. I have found this method helps to recover detail that unsharp mask does not. I think Photoshop also has a light filter. https://www.affinity.studio/ https://www.affinity.studio/help/filters-lighting-effects/ Thanks, Tom Example (I probably recovered too much detail in this example)
  20. Hopefully I can make myself clear. I am creating a music video with stills and video clips. I would like to somehow lock certain images or videos to specific spots on the audio so that they will show when that portion of the music plays. It is a single audio track. I would like to be able to then experiment with adding other slides or videos of varying lengths in between the ones that are locked without shifting the ones that are locked. I have searched through the oneline help and this forum but so far haven't come up with anything. Is it even possible. My only thought was to split the audio clip at each of these points and use the functionality of linking a slide to an audio track (which is normally used for voice over commentary but this would be cumbersome. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  21. The style works well with the images - well done.
  22. Hi, Thanks, I cofirm this issue. We'll fix it this week.
  23. You're right, I hadn't noticed. I thought it happened in all situations, but it only happens when there's only one slide, and if there are more, only on the last one, as you say.
  24. It only occurs if the style is applies to the last slide. If applied to an intermediate slide it works ok for me. As a temporary workaround, add a blank or "dummy" slide before applying your style. Hopefully, Igor will chip in. DG
  25. Yes, that issue has been lingering for a few beta versions now. I hope it can be fixed; there are some styles I won't correct until the problem is resolved.
  26. Well done Effective effects (😊)
  27. Well produced Looks like a mixed Goth/Steamboat event
  28. +1. I also reproduced this problem.
