It is defined in the code of PicturesToExe, not in .ini file, sorry. I added this moment to my TODO list and you will able customize such parameters in the next version.

Hartmut, Thank you for letting me know about this problem! 1) Please try to encode another small slide shows (say several slides, 10-20 seconds). Will this problem occur now? If no, please send us all files of these 3 slides shows your added for this DVD. Or at least .pte project files. 2) Also please send me screenshot of a third page of VideoBuilder with burn settings (where you press Start button to start encoding DVD) 3) Please try to again burn this DVD with these 3 projects. Start VideoBuilder, press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Q you'll see a window with special settings. Set checked "Save DVD.XML" option, click OK button. Now try to create DVD as you did previous time. When program will show an error, close VideoBuilder and open temp folder in Explorer: C:\Users\Hartmut\AppData\Local\Temp In this folder you'll find DVD.XML file. Please send it to me. 4) Make sure that you have enough free space on disc C: Your DVD required at least 3 GB of free space. p.s. I sent you PM message.

24 minutes of slide show on DVD. 1 second = about 0.9 MB. 1440 seconds x 0.9 MB = 1.2 GB VideoBuilder also creates temp files and overall free space required about 2.4 GB in your case.

Harry, With your help I found the bug with Windows 98 in time (it could be terrible discover it after publishing of version 5.0). Also we'll add vast optimization of transition effects in this second CPU based graphical engine. We'll prepare new Pre-Release build on Wednesday. I believe that all will be work and you will feel better!

Prashant, This slide show created with v4.48 There is only one case when slide show created in v4.48 stops on a first slide. When no sound card installed or it disabled. Slide shows created in version 5.0 always play with or without sound card.

1) Please let me know - what exact beta version you used for your slide show? 2) What version of Windows on PCs of those people where it didn't work? If Windows 98, we know about this problem and it will be fixed very soon. Please ask them try to run this slide show: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/PteShow.zip (8 MB) 3) I couldn't download your slide show, the download URL doesn't work.

Do you have "Auto spread slide along music" option enabled in "Customize Synchronization | Timeline" window? If no, please attach to your message .pte project file.
-
Harry, You're right, slide shows (fullscreen) created in latest beta versions don't work under Windows 98. We'll fix this bug soon.

Cor, Thanks, I just asked update Reg_Spanish.rtf file and today I've received updated Reg_Italian.rtf file.

Harry, Try latest build I published yeasterday: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe.zip (4 MB)Pan/Zoom effects will work not enough smooth, of course, for the reason I've described above. But simple slide shows (without animation) will play well.
-
Harry, Sorry, but I didn't understand what exact problem you experienced. Did Pan/Zoom effects work very slowly, or something else? Why you tried to find a way how to enable "slow engine" (without hardware acceleration)? It's not necessary. Version 5.0 activates slow CPU based graphical engine automatically if it sees that no enough fast video card installed. Simple effects like Fade in/out should play ideally as in v4.48. Of course, Pan/Zoom effect will play slowly with CPU based engine, modern video card operates with graphic in hundred times faster than CPU. No need to manually disable "Use hardware acceleration" option (Screen tab in Project options), because PicturesToExe automatically manages it (excluding special rare cases with menu slide show). Just add images, adjust simple effects and create EXE or start Preview. Please also let me know details of your PC (version of Windows) and what video card installed?

I just wrote to Parallels company and asked them test PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.0 with Parallels Desktop for Mac.
-
Yes, PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.0 requires DirectX 8.1 or higher (for perfect Pan/Zoom effects). So it should be enough. If you will try Parallels Desktop 3, please let me know about result.

New Standard and Deluxe licenses - both intended for commerial and personal use. If you have Personal license and want to use PicturesToExe for commercial purpose you need to pay for Upgrade to Deluxe.

For developers. Main PicturesToExe's folder: Latest installed PicturesToExe 5.0 version: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PicturesToExe\InstallPath5 (For example: "C:\Program Files\WnSoft PicturesToExe\5.0") In PicturesToExe's main folder you can find UninstallCfg1.ini file. In this file "Config" in section "Params" locates folder where placed all settings of this current version: (For example: Config=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PicturesToExe\Versions\5.0 ) "ConfigCommon" locates common folder where places common files of version 5.0 and future versions of PicturesToExe (Templates, Buttons, Navigation bar templates): (For example: ConfigCommon=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PicturesToExe ) If you want to write an application which installs new Buttons/NavBar templates you can use this information.

I just uploaded updated Pre-Release version with a fix of small and rare visual problem when two speed intervals for two keypoints appeared (instead of one interval). It was only visual bug in speed dialog window.

Paul, Thanks, very interesting AV show! I would like only say that on some images too large (3600x2200) and zooming will look better on more small images. Extrat large images on small values of Zoom parameter (100% for example) cause some kind of shimmering on sharp details of a picture. Also I found small visual bug in PTE when I explored speed settings of objects in your slide show. We'll fix it.

Steve, We discussed this problem and I'm sure that AuthoringWare company who licensed us burning library will ask you install latest firmware update for your DVD writer. Because as written above updated firmware includes: "DVD-RW Writability Improvement 2X DVD-R Writability Improvement DVD Playability Improvement". Maybe it contains other not announced improvements. It deserves to try it. Only if this update will not help, they will solve this problem. I bring my apologies for this problem.
-
I hope it is a final code of version 5.0 If there will be no bugs more, I only will add updated language files to final release.

Barry, Maybe it's a mistake with this CONS of PTE, I see exactly some phrase in CONS of Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus. However it's a minor problem
