Textured background will be in next betas, very soon. Tomorrow we'll publish beta #2 with fixing of known problems. p.s. please don't use too large images in slide-shows. I even heard today about one slide-show with slide 10500 x 8500 image (90 MB of JPEG file) It takes about 375 MB in memory of video card. Although we created absolutely not-limited size of images system, it may require video card with 256 MB of memory and long loading. I consider that usually enough 2400x1500 for Zoom effect and 9000 x 1024 for 360" panoramas. It will work fine on most of video cards.

Keypoints displayed only when some one object is selected. If no keypoints, but animation works, send me to int_support (at_) wnsoft.com source files of this project.

We tested with antiviruses AVG, NOD32 - all works fine and don't disturb work of slide-shows. Also Agnitum Outpost (firewall) works very well on my home PC.

Steve, Please download and try this slide-show http://www.wnsoft.com/test/LeaksTest.exe Will colors right after closing of slide-show?
-
Thank you for testing! It's enough at this moment.
-
Thank you! This test is closed. Please try third test: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4348 Hemjr, Please ignore this problem. Try newest new third test (see link above) and let me know if that problem occurs.

Thank you, Now we'll work with results tomorrow.

OK. Thank you very much! p.s. Just we want to prepare product with ideal reliability.

Adda, I noticed that even on my Geforce 6800 you perfect slide-show pan_and_zoom.exe has jerks. We explorered this problem and found that it happened because of low-bitrate MP3 music file. Of course, it was our problem and we fixed it! Now your slide-show re-created with future beta #1 will have ideally smooth Panorama. Thank you Ken, Ok! I added idea with grid lines in Visual editor to my TODO list. Rainer, With second CPU based graphical engine in next betas v5.00 will work again on Windows NT 4.0 Ron, In beta #2 we will use another folder for installation than v4.xx and temporarily don't associate v5.00 with .pte (until more complete last betas) projects. I'm very grateful for all your help with beta-testing of v5.00! Currently we're working on increasing of reliability of v5.00 and fixing problems/bugs. Please give us one-two weeks for this work. While I'm afraid I'm not able to response on all messages during this period, sorry! Robert, I think next version. It's OK. It means that these keypoints exactly docked to particular event - beginning/ending of the slide. No, sorry. I agree that we have many necessary ideas for Visual editor, but a little later, after other things will be enought ready. Thank you

Thank you! It helped us. I just prepared new test, please run it. http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4347

We prepared new test which will help us to find all possible memory leaks in v5.00. http://www.wnsoft.com/test/MemoryLeakTest.zip (10 MB) Please download, unpack and run it. Close after 30-60 sec. by ESC button. Repeat several times. If you'll see one or two text messages on closing, please let me know: 1) Number of message boxes (one or two windows) 2) Exact text of both messages.

Barry, They mean more fast linear speed or periodical accelerations in motion? Visual editor displays exactly same picture as ready slide-show, because it's same code. 1) The only difference that Visual editor doesn't display transition effects between two slides - you always see one slide only. 2) And second moment - in Visual editor size of window usually smaller. Opposite in slide-show you watch picture on fullscreen.
-
I like that you used 1.5 aspect ratio. Fresh look. By the way, we added special command line parameter -cover For example, when I watch your slide-show on 15" display with aspect ratio 4:3 I see black strips on top and bottom. But If I type test.exe -cover I'll see picture covered entire screen. Of course, with this parameter some part of picture will be left outside of the screen.

Yes, run for 1 minute or so, when press Esc and start again. Run a couple of times every variant.
-
bmccammon, Please run again several times both variants. It's very important for us.
-
I'm very grateful to you! We found two different bugs in PTE and will fix them now. Don't send the project, please. I reproduced it now.

If somebody can help us with testing of v5.00 for memory leaks. Please download this special version of my PteShow demo. http://www.wnsoft.com/test/LeaksTest.zip (13 MB) Don't run directly PteShow.exe file. Run several times WithMusic.bat and NoMusic.bat files If you found memory leak message when you close slide-show. Please let me know where it happened in variant with music or in variant without music.
-
Adda, Please write me to int_support (at) wnsoft.com 1) So you can run produced EXE file, but can't run Preview from PTE? What exactly happens when you press Preview button? 2) Try to call "Create slide-show and Run" (or Ctrl+F9) from main menu. Will it work? p.s. Thanks for your slide-show! bfreas, Please also write me to int_support (at) wnsoft.com and send this project as ZIP archive (from Main menu | File | Create backup in ZIP). LumenLux, I just sent you email. Please read it, if you didn't receive it. Write me a letter to int_support (at) wnsoft.com

It's only visual effect. Currently Pan/Zoom are linear with constant speed.
-
Try new function in v5.00 - main menu | File | Create backup in ZIP archive.
