  1. It's working now. I had to delete my other versions first. Interesting. I tried the cover the mask container and rectangle but didn't change the mask rectangle to square. I think that is your changes I discovered. Thanks! Tom
  2. Hi Denis, For some reason this transition is not importing on my Mac or Win computer. I would really like to test it but first need to figure out why it's not importing. Does it import back into your transitions? Thanks, Tom
  3. Thanks. It's a very simple transition. Here is a 4:3 AR version. I only changed the mask container and mask from 1920x1080 to 1600x1200. Dave, I don't know if a Style multiple aspect ratio will work with transitions? I might have to convert to a style? Tom Slide with Zoom 4x3.pteeff
  4. I am not sure how to create a format independent version of a transition. I tried aspect crop but the mask is set to 1920x1080. I guess I could create versions for different aspect ratios? I sometimes post ideas before they are finalized like I did for this transition. Anyone can improve on my work and post to the forum. I am always learning something new. Thanks, Tom
  5. I replied by private message. Here is an example if you look at left edge of video you notice the wrong color. It happens on other edges if you turn on the transition for that direction. Thanks, Tom
  6. Great slideshow. So many skilled trades like wood shipbuilding are almost forgotten. It's amazing what they created using only human powered tools. I had fun learning how to sail a boat when I was a teenager in a small El Toro. https://www.mooresailboats.com/el-toro Thanks, Tom
  7. I find myself checking and unchecking animation parameters often. I sometimes want to keep a keyframe but not adjust any of the settings. If we had an easy method to uncheck all the settings it would help. Then I could check one adjustment setting without having to verify the other settings. If you check the option it would remember the previous setting. I could not find an option listed under hotkeys. Thanks, Tom
  8. Creating a transition with a 1920x1080 mask. I notice the left edge is not completely covered by mask. If I turn off edge antialiasing it fixes the problem. If I replace the default mask with a white rectangle it fixes the problem, with edge antialiasing on or off. Version 10.5.4 Windows and Mac both have the problem. Thanks, Tom
  9. Thanks. I have made another change with the mask starting at the correct time, 400 mSec for a 500% zoom factor (1/5 of 2 sec) to make the speed linear. I think I was testing speed modifiers and I forgot to reset. On to other projects now. Tom Slide with Zoom.pteeff
  10. I understand. So many variations possible. It is easy to go down the rabbit hole when playing with styles and transitions. Tom
  11. Thanks. My last version has full pan and 50 pct transparency. Tom Slide with Zoom.pteeff
  12. Thanks everyone. I don't know why my previous version size is 5 MB. Probably because I pasted in the slides from the object editor for reference and then deleted them (but they were not really deleted?). Here is another version with 4 directions. I like the up arrow version because it kind of looks like a waterfall. Thanks, Tom Slide with Zoom.pteeff
  13. Probably created many times before by others but I was playing around with another video editor that had this type of transition and I thought it would be easy to produce in PTE. I might add other pan directions and a circular version in the future. Feel free to improve and repost if you wish. Tom Slide with Zoom.pteeff
  14. I think the fear of legal issues and license fees have stopped some developers from using H.265 in their commercial products. Movavi removed it from their video editor. https://www.movavi.io/what-is-h265-en/ What I don't understand is when a GPU like Nvidia supports H.265 encoding that they should be the ones liable for the license fee? Just give us the GPU encoding option? My long term hope is open source AV1 will be widely adopted. Tom
  15. The new silicon is amazing. I can only imagine how fast PTE would run on the new chips. I will not be upgrading for awhile because my M1 mini is fast enough for me. https://www.tomsguide.com/face-off/m1-pro-vs-m1-max-whats-the-difference The ProRes decoder/encoder in hardware should make video editing much faster if you have ProRes high bitrate media. Tom
  16. +1. That would be easier than selecting the photo slides and go into slide options and set the time. Tom
  17. I have been using the latest version of PTE with Windows 11 (AMD Ryzen 2700 CPU, Nvidia 1660 Super GPU) for about 2 months. No problems so far. From previous posts by Igor. One license key can be used to activate PTE AV Studio on any 2 computers - PC or Mac. Tom
  18. Depoe Bay is just north of Newport by about 12 miles. I have not been there in years but would be fun to visit again. Thanks, Tom
  19. This video brings back childhood memories. When I was a child in the '60s my mother decided my sister and I should join her on a hike from Crescent City to Rockaway (the town where she lived as a child). I was only about 10 years old. I remember backpacking on the beaches and when that was not an option we hiked along highway 101. We must have hiked for at least 3 weeks and stayed in campgrounds. I think my favorite spot was Depoe Bay with the amazing boats that somehow manage to navigate between the rocks even during storms. Thanks, Tom
  20. I found it under User styles. Lin has not been online since May 22. He was having some medical issues. I hope he is okay but I was reluctant to ask for an update. Tom
  21. Here is an example of an audio mixer from a video editor that I sometimes use to trim or join videos before inserting into PTE. If 100% = 0dB then it would not have a volume increase (gain) option, just reduction in audio level? Volume increase and vu meter would be nice, but it would require additional programming/difficulty. Thanks, Tom
  22. I suggested something like this awhile back. Tom
  23. This is one of my favorite styles. Some of the newer members to the forum may have missed this great style. Tom
  24. Some of the newer cameras have wifi transfer and it would avoid physical damage to cards/connectors + location of the card reader on the computer. Tom
  25. Hi Alex, Nice slideshow. I like the transition/style between the images. The music and font style were great too. Thanks, Tom
