  1. I think maybe PTE does not like JPEG TIFFs. If I save in Irfanview with JPEG compression of TIFF then I see a black image. I see Igor already mentioned this. I don't know what other reason could cause this problem. Tom
  2. Hi Rosy, An automatic dishwasher has probably saved many a marriage. We have not been to an indoor restaurant or movie theater since covid started 3 years ago. So for us, it's an essential piece of kitchen equipment. My wife's favorite saying is "A Happy Wife is a Happy Life". Very nice quality video and music. Thanks, Tom
  3. Hi Rosy, You had me worried that you were going to damage your camera when the water started splashing inside the dishwasher. I'm glad your DW project was a success. Thanks, Tom
  4. Hi Mike, Installing Affinity Apps on a new PC this morning. I have a slightly different path discovered using task manager that works. Yours is probably better since it doesn't require a version number. "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto2_2.0.3.1688_x64__3cqzy0nppv2rt\App\Photo.exe" Tom
  5. Hi Ghulya, Filmora 12 runs native (not Rosetta) on Mac M1 and M2. I have lifetime license before version 9 so it is free update. https://filmora.wondershare.com/video-editor-mac/ There has been controversy on lifetime updates but has been recently resolved. https://mobile.twitter.com/Filmora_Editor/status/1609180413188096005 Thanks, Tom
  6. Also OBS 29 streaming/recording software is starting to support AV1 hardware encoding. I have Filmora 12 for Mac and for some reason it is faster at AV1 encoding than Handbrake or Shutter encoder. https://www.phoronix.com/news/OBS-Studio-29-Beta-1 Tom
  7. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/12/handbrake-video-transcoder-adds-official-av1-codec-support-in-latest-release/ Software encoding for most cards. If you have a Intel ARC video card I think it also supports hardware encoding. Tom
  8. Hi Rosy, Our Christmas dinner was relatively simple. Butternut squash soup, coffee, and Stollen bread for dessert. Cheers, Tom
  9. I am not experiencing a crash when I do the test above. When I double click it opens the slide option window. Sometimes (seldom) I have a problem where a PTE window is on another virtual desktop but I can fix this by moving to the desktop and closing the window. Tom
  10. Another Californian wishes everyone Happy Holidays. Santa brought me very good eyesight without glasses. Good health and peace to everyone around the world, Tom
  11. The Windows screensaver option could be removed and it would not bother me. I right clicked and installed the screensaver and now I have to figure out how to remove it from the screensaver list (deleting the .scr from the original directory does not). I could not find it under the Windows or subdirectories. The Mac version of PTE does not have a publish screensaver option. Tom
  12. Not sure if many users create screensavers in PTE. I usually publish a slideshow as a video and use PotPlayer to play the video as a screensaver. I tried using the PTE screensaver option. It creates the .scr file and it shows up in the list of screensavers. When I click on settings it starts the screensaver instead of showing a message about no options. There is a preview button next to it so there is no need for a second preview option. Also not sure why there is an exit on mouse in PTE control option settings when screensaver already has this feature. Thanks, Tom Windows 11
  13. I have been using the PTE 11 native ARM Mac 11 betas for many weeks and do not have problems with crashing. I do not use an iphone but my Pixel 6A H.264 and H.265 videos are compatible with PTE on my Mac (and Windows). Tom Ventura 13.1 Mac mini M1 16 GB RAM
  14. Hi Rosy, Sorry to hear about the delay in the dishwasher. Tom
  15. Hi Natiek, I decided it was not being used and I let the domain expire. It was experimental and I didn't save the files but as far as I know you should be able to find all the transitions in the forum. Sorry, Tom
  16. Offer extended to January 25, 2023 in case anyone is interested. I am hoping they add a simple video editor import/export for color correction and compositing like they added to Pixelmator Pro. Thanks, Tom https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/
  17. Hi Berny, Thanks. I have created a new version with 3 different masks. Circle, Ellipse, and Rectangle. Tom A few of the fungi we see on our hikes in our community redwood forest. Mask Zoom.pteeff
  18. The mask was created for a 16:9 Aspect Ratio show. Just a few photos and a video of our cats playing. Thanks, Tom Zoom In.pteeff
  19. Hi Jill, The Pixelmator Pro has that feature (also Hide and Hold at the end of the video) and it's named Bounce. Thanks, Tom
  20. So you are saying that using the current aspect crop should include the border property value? I guess that would work. I'm sure Igor would figure out the best option. Thanks, Tom
  21. Hi Dave, Good to know there is a workaround. I did see your post from 2016 before posting and I probably should have replied to it instead of starting a new thread. It would be faster? if we just had an inner/outer option. Maybe not everyone would agree and that's fine. https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/19074-border-for-a-show/#comment-126905 Thanks, Tom
  22. Border always adds to the outside edge of object so not to cover any of the object. If you have an object that covers screen and you add a border then it is no longer equal around the edges or the object no longer covers the screen. If there was an inner border option then it would be equal around the edge of the screen. Thanks, Tom
  23. I just thought it would be nice to have an option to loop a video if it is shorter than the slide duration with a single click. I think if you had the latest version Pixelmator Pro you would be impressed. Thanks, Tom
  24. Hi Jill, I guess that would work if I wanted to loop a slide. I was thinking more about video objects on a slide looping until the slide continues to the next slide after a set amount of time. Thanks, Tom
  25. Hi Rosy, I'm not sure about how that would work. I was playing around with Pixelmator Pro graphics editor for Mac and they have a new video edit feature. I thought it was kind of neat. Thanks, Tom
