Creating a copy button rather than a print button
davegee replied to 4ipilot's topic in General Discussion
Just to confirm that it works: Use the PTE Print command and Print to PDF. This opens in the Adobe Product and when sized at screen resolution is an alternative to Print Screen. DG -
Creating a copy button rather than a print button
davegee replied to 4ipilot's topic in General Discussion
Can you not print to pdf? The adobe product will open pdf. It is probably no better / worse than the screen grab though. DG -
How did you have it set? For future reference? DG

Does the Laptop have dedicated or shared graphics? DG

I don't remember seeing anything of this nature mentioned before? Raise another support ticket in case of it not being something simple which someone else can help with? Someone is bound to mention updating your Graphics Drivers. Do you have another PC that you can try it on to prove that it is the W8 PC and not something else? DG

No, that wouldn't work? If you add x number of slides and click on the option it does what you asked for. If you add another slide you have to click on the option again? DG

E-mail the organiser and ask how they do it? Will the MPEG4 be transfered to the PC? What player do they use? They are usually quite helpful about these things. DG

Leo, Raise a support request here: http://www.wnsoft.com/support/ Explain your problem - they will sort it out for you. DG

Bert, If they (or you) try to play the MPEG4 file from the DVD I am not surprised that it stutters. If the file is transfered from a DVD to a PC hard disc and played from there chances are it will be OK. Make a data DVD with the MPEG4 on it and then transfer the MPEG4 back on to the HD. If it plays OK on your PC in Media Player Classic - Home Cinema then it should be OK on most PCs with the same Player. The resolution of the original JPEGS should not influence the final MPEG4 - if Video Builder makes the MPEG4 and it plays OK on your PC then you will be OK. Just don't try to play it from the DVD. DG

Aspect Ratio and Fit to Slide/Cover Slide options
davegee replied to Igor's topic in General Discussion
Aspect ratio is not an issue. It is already possible to have your prefered AR / Resolution each time you open a new project regardless of what PTE offers you as default. By setting up a blank show with all of your preferences and AR / Resolution settings you can save a Template and use it as your "Default for new Projects". The MODE setting is the tricky one. If the Default setting for Mode (not the Mode Setting) were in Preferences then everyone would be happy!! DG -
"Several" ???? DG

Make slide one the Master. Copy and paste in the Slide Panel. Adjust times of slides one and two as required and make slide two "Link to" the Master. Copy and paste Slide two as many times as required. The Link is then established in the copied slides. That is just one way. DG

A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
Update. WMP 12 (on my other PC) allows you to turn off Copy Protection by "signing" a disclaimer. The resulting file is then playable when used in place of the WMP 11 version (which will not play in PTE). Research required: Has the License to use WMP 11 (to Rip) expired in my case?? Did a Windows Update change this?? Did WMP 11 ever allow Ripping without Copy Protection?? DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
In the WMP Ripping options on my Laptop (WMP11) the Copy Protect option is Greyed out for WAV and MP3. However the option is available for WMA etc. My interpretation is that Copy Protection is applied when using WAV or MP3 but is optional for WMA. We need a Hexpert. DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
Questions: Is this a DRM issue? Can PTE legally remove DRM for you? Is this something new I.e. have you used WAV files produced this way in the past without problem? DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
I hope that this helps: I converted a CD track to WAV in WMP and inserted into PGA's show Demo and got exactly the same symptoms as he got. The EXE would not work. I converted EXACTLY the same track to WAV using Sonic Stage and everything worked as expected. I have never used WMP for this purpose before but I'm sure that others have - I can only report what happened. Vista 32 Bit - my old faithful Sony Laptop - WMP 11. Sonic Stage 4.3 (no longer available??). DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
You could, if you imported into Audition etc and re-saved from there?? That's your choice. However you answered one question - if you did the Ripping yourself then you will not see the message that I see in the Properties of the WAV. See Post 7. I thought that you might have been given the WAV and that it had been ripped on a different computer. Wait a sec' - did you rip the WAV on the same computer as you are assembling the PTE?? I use Sonic Stage to do all my CD to MP3 transfers - never had a problem. DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]

Hi Gary, I hope that you don't mind if I decline that? I am dubious about downloading these things - probably unjustifiably - but if there is any other way of getting the same info?? DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
There is obviously something "wrong" or different with PGA's WAV. I can replace it with just about any WAV from my computer and a full working EXE can be reproduced. But just importing into Audition etc and re saving is not the answer. Why is this particular WAV giving this particular problem?? DG -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
Note the message at the bottom of the WAV Properties . It might be refering to PGA's computer though. "The file came from another computer.........might be blocked to protect this computer". DG P.S. I'm getting the same problem as Gary - not being able to attach files to posts. -
Adding Music to a section of a slide show only
davegee replied to Leo Palmer's topic in General Discussion
The quick answer is: Add the Music to the first of the twenty slides via the "Add music or voice" button. Divide the length of the music by twenty and apply the resulting time to each of the twenty slides via "Customize Slide". Use the "Do not interrupt......" option in Project Options / Audio. That's just one way. DG -
Thank you. DG

Jose, Which is "Correct" when compared to the TIME of the original Beta Video Movie?? DG
-
Jose, If you add the video and audio components separately, what are the relative times for each component?? Mute the audio in the video and add the Audio via Project Options / Audio. Which one is "correct"?? DG
