  1. Melanie, There is another way to check it - choose another piece of music of the same length of time and substitute it in a duplicated project for the originals - It doesn't have to be "appropriate" - does it then go out of sync? DG
  2. Melanie, Please check you MP3s again? In Audition there are many variations of the MP3 CBR theme and choosing the wrong one has been known to cause problems. My "go to" choice for MP3s for PTE is: 256kBps; 44100Hz; Stereo (5.5.1) .....and this has never let me down. Try saving your MP3s again with different settings and see what happens? DG
  3. Hi John, I watched your show and was taken back to the good times that we had along that coastline. Taking the Jetfoil from Sorrento down to Amalfi via Capri and Positano and returning by Coach (or vice versa) is one of those experiences that ranks up there in my top ten in the world. I was a little disappointed that you chose to make your project 1024x768 and not larger. As stated elsewhere it really does your images no justice when viewed full screen on a 1920x1200 (or even larger) monitor. "Thanks for the memories"!! DG
  4. Barry, I don't disagree with your question. It might well be that something as simple as making the Fixed Size of Slide ticked by default will do what you ask? A warning message appearing when it is unticked would also help to advise anyone of the implications of the action. I the meantime the means to "help one's self" is there and is part of the learning curve. DG
  5. The other possibility is that the Audio has been saved as Variable Bit Rate (VBR) rather than the required Constant Bit Rate (CBR). DG
  6. I was going to leave it go but since BB has mentioned it I will also comment. If for whatever reason the author needs to use 1024x768 images in a 1024x768 project the facilities are already there to prevent what BB describes. Fixed size of slide limits the size of the show on ANY monitor to project size. Alternatively using Window mode will do much the same thing. DG
  7. Show us a screen shot from Proshow 5? DG
  8. Do you mean this: DG
  9. Go to Settings / Preferences / Toolbars and make sure that "Preview From Current Position" is ticked. Note which toolbar it is on. This is configurable by user - you can put it wherever you want it. DG
  10. You can press the space bar to quickly go through the show one at a time. Or you can press the "Piece of toast" icon to Preview from current slide. DG
  11. John, Are you pressing the PREVIEW BUTTON bottom of screen or the Play arrow in the mini-player???? DG
  12. Does that argument also apply to Audacity? DG
  13. There is a feature called "Ignore objects not selected" or similar.(7.5.9 - Settings / Preferences / Editor). With that ticked select your object in the object panel and click on it in the O and A screen and you should be able to move it with mouse or the PZR controls. Which version are you running?? DG
  14. Hi Ross, It was a statement. You REALLY should now be on the latest version 7.5.9. It is worth updating regularly to fully take advantage of the new features on offer. DG
  15. Works OK here. Check your timings - make sure that the slide duration is longer than the Transition times etc? If you can't figure it please post a short TEMPLATE or BACKUP IN ZIP - just one or two slides - no music. We'll try to figure out what the problem is. DG
  16. Hi Xaver, If anyone knows of a Keystroke which is not included on the list, please add it to the thread in a post and I will edit the first post. Artem, What have you done to "fix" the problem? DG
  17. Ross, You REALLY need to be on the latest version? DG
  18. Same as Xaver. Auto is the thing that Daniel (possibly) did not mention. After Peter tried it - did he go back to Auto?? I never use Auto. DG P.S. The fault was also there in V7.5.9. P.P.S The fault was not there in V7.0.7
  19. I originally tried it as stand alone text - not as child. Tried it again just in case - can't replicate problem. Nice Font - Nyala! DG
  20. Not happening for me Daniel. Explain a little more?? DG
  21. Use "Keep Full Slide Duration". You will find it in Settings/Preferences. Then add your videos to the Slide Line. Each slide will then be the duration of the video clip with the transition time that you have set in Project Options. DG
  22. Superimpose your images on a 16:9 Project and you'll have the Black Bars on the sides. Use 1080 Pixel High images at whatever aspect you want but place them into a 16:9 - 1920x1080 Project. When you make your DVD and play it on the TV it will maintain the 16:9 AR without distortion - on ANY TV (not just yours) without adjustment of TV settings. You might then lose some of your images top and bottom due to TV Safe zone. If you want to compensate for that use 90-92% of Slide to show Main Image in Project Options / Defaults to cure this. DG
  23. Gary, I have no idea what brands you have over there. I stick with what I know will LAST. If/when I replace this one - I will go as near to the top of the Sony Range as I can afford/justify/get away with. Desktops - different - I have bought the best Media PCs I could get on the High Street - HP does it for me. I have heard so many horror stories from people/friends getting Custom Built - forget it. It works for some but not for all. WRT screens less than HD. It's OK until you connect up to your HD Projector or TV and then you start getting the hassle because the LT's screen is not the same as the TV/Projector. Believe me HD is easier. Now stand by for "other opinions". DG
  24. Gary, Don't compromise. You need that HD screen. You need a dedicated card. You need HDMI to connect to TV or your desktop monitor. DG
