  1. Hi Ron, I no longer use Adobe products. I have been weaning myself off Adobe products for a LONG time. I just wanted to see if PTE would do the job. For anyone wanting to Print the result then PTE would not be the tool to use. But for PTE projects I will let the results speak for themselves. DG
  2. JUST FOR FUN I decided to see if PTE could save me from having to purchase that expensive Pespective Control Lens :rolleyes:/>. Results below: DG
  3. Hi Peter, Have we not agreed that points on the envelope are 'Keypoints" and positions on the O and A line are "Keyframes"? That is the terminology that Igor wants and it avoids misunderstanding. DG
  4. Ron, Go to Project Options / Screen. Enter a resolution of 2560 x 1440. Go to Main. What does the AR tell you? DG P.S. Alternatively, get your calculator out, divide 2560 by 16 and multiply by 9 (or 10).
  5. 2560x1440 is your minimum Image Size to fill screen. Zooming will require larger sizes. Your project Size is 2560x1440 - Aspect Ratio = 16:9 DG
  6. Barry, I don't know if this helps? When applying a style you can match the Style's Speed/Duration to the slide that you are applying it to. Speed and Duration controls are interactive and you can use them to match the style to the slide. Your suggestion would further improve matters. DG
  7. Double click on the ISO and if you have a suitable application it will open. CyberLink PowertoGo came with my PC and never fails. What is the size of the ISO????????? DG
  8. If you can create the ISO look at the size of it? Will it create an ISO which is greater than 4.7Gb? Don't know. I usually assume that if the ISO can be created (untick everything else) then the problem is not PTE. But given what you said............... If there are no Version 8 elements in the slide show you could revert back to V7.5 temporarily? DG
  9. Can you make the ISO file? Can you make an MPEG4? What is the size of the project? DG
  10. Thanks for the plug - it looks good!! DG P.S. Why did you not use the 3D text which Igor created specially for you? B)/>
  11. I don't think that we said that? If you make each slide's duration say 12 seconds, you can pause each slide as required using the Media Player's Pause control at around 6-8 seconds. Pess Play to continue and Pause again 6-8 seconds into the next slide. This would be true for any MP4 / AVI etc whatever prog it's made in? Manual control with a Media Player is using the Play and Pause Buttons. What other method of control would you envisage? DG P.S. Media Player Classic (for PC) allows the use of the Space Bar to Play and Pause. Perhaps the Media Player in your TV has the same facility? I cannot try mine right now, my wife has control of the Remote on Saturday Nights at 7PM./>
  12. +1 What Lin said. DG
  13. If two people disagree about what the default should be then it is surely a case for Preferences?? Igor and yourself obviously disagree about this. You might say that Igor should go with the majority, but isn't that then unfair to the people who could also have had their choice if it were a Preferences item?? Your favourite Adobe product has a million items in their version of Preferences most of which were irrelevant to me but were important to others. Should we not all have the opportunity to set the prog up the way we want it and not be dictated to by the wants of others?? JMHO Smiley face. DG
  14. There's a LOT more to it than a lot of people realise!! DG
  15. In preferences you can set your own Defaults, which might be preferable to other people's prefered defaults? :rolleyes:/> DG
  16. Trailertrash, By visiting this address regularly: https://nikoneurope-...sthelp.com/app/ ......you can determine the reason for the upgrade before downloading the installer. I would advise updating at every opportunity because there are bug fixes with every update, some of which are unlisted, and the software is being improved on each occasion. There is a fix in this upgrade for a very annoying bug which some have been experiencing in the LCH utility. There is also an upgrade for VNX2 which, if you are not aware, includes some nice changes/improvements to their Video Editor for Nikon Cameras. DG
  17. A sensible suggestion Ken, When I first advocated the Preferences a few years ago my vision was that its purpose was to be for just such settings. most software these days allow you to set up each section the way you want it globally. However, there might be reasons why Seperate and Glue would not be suitable candidates for this feature. DG
  18. Hi Neil, CS4 also includes that facility? BTW That's a great resource!! DG
  19. Hi Lin, Did I miss something? What's the point in using "oversized" images for the first MP4? When it is in MP4 the oversized images are re-sized to 1080 high and when you zoom into that section you don't magically get that higher resolution back? DG
  20. I can only talk about W7. My V7.5 is installed with the Boxes Ticked and V8 with boxes unticked. Clicking on a .pte opens the project in V7.5. If I want to use V8 I open V8 first and it opens the last saved project. I use File / Open if I want something ealse. DG
  21. Gary, When you installed V8 did you leave the association boxes ticked during the installation? Try re-installing and make sure that they are unticked. You cannot have both versions as the default - it must be one or the other. Nothing to do with Windows.
  22. During beta testing I untick the association boxes for the beta version so that the current full version remains the default. At present V7.5 is the default double click prog and for V8 I open the prog first. DG
  23. Clear, concise instructions!! Thanks Igor, DG
  24. I just updated to iOS 7 on my iPAD 4 and made a short Movie. When dragged into the Slide Line (V8) it offered me the Optimisation which I accepted. It runs fine. DG
  25. iOS 7 is the new update for the iPAD? Maybe something has changed? DG
