  1. A long, long time ago (pre-KFSD) someone added a video clip to a project and found that it ended abruptly at the beginning of the following slide's transition. This was not what he had originally envisaged so he adjusted the duration of the slide containing the video clip so that it continued on through the following slide's transition and faded out whilst still "running". All was well. A little later on he decided that the video clip was not in the correct place and decided to move it to a different place in the project. Now, the transition time of the slide following the video clip in its new position was different to the original following slide so that the end result was that the video clip once again was not running for the full length of its following slide's transition time. He percieved this to be a "bug" and asked Igor for two things: 1. That when a video clip was added to a Project, its full duration would span its own transition time and the transition time of its following slide. 2. That when a slide containing a video clip spanning two transitions was moved to a new position its full duration could be KEPT without having to make any adjustments. Igor's answer was the feature known as KEEP FULL SLIDE DURATION. It does what it says on the tin./> Those who wanted their video clips to end at the beginning of the next slides transition could use the original slide duration concept and those who wanted the "overlapping transitions" could use the KFSD concept. It means that you could move a slide from position A to position B and maintain all of its properties, Video, Key Frames etc without having to adjust for differences in Transition Times. Its Full Slide Duration would be KEPT. DG P.S. I was not that someone.
  2. Further to the above, by entering your required duration before applying the style you can make it fit your existing project. However, by doing this the whole of the style (both transition and full slide duration) is adjusted proportionally. The alternative is to apply the style at its default duration and adjust (if necessary) the individual transition time and full duration afterwards. DG
  3. Hi Lin, Just pointing out that had it been me I would have known if you had replied to me in a new post (by e-mail) but I would not have been informed that you put that note there./> DG
  4. In the figure below showing the Slide Styles Window you can see that there are some Slide Durations which will tell you what to expect. In this case it is telling the user that the style, when applied, will have a Full Slide Duration of 7 seconds. If it is applied to a slide with a 2 second transition and the following slide is also 2 seconds transition it will result in a slide which has a 2 / 3 / 2 configuration - 7 seconds. Depending on your preferences the Slide Icon will show Transition = 2 and Duration = 5 (or Transition = 2 and Duration = 7). Regardless of any other settings Styles are calculated in Full Slide Duration - this means both transitions. DG
  5. Sorry for the delay - Christmas Shopping!! Here's what I get with KFSD OFF and Show FSD OFF: Here's what I get with KFSD ON and Show FSD ON: Explanation: If there is a BUG or a PROBLEM in there it is being caused by Switching back and forth between KFSD and Non-KFSD during a project. I have said all along - if you start off in either mode - leave it there - switching back and forth is not advised!! P.S. I make no excuses to anyone for the abbreviations - anyone wanting an explanation can ask or search for KFSD. DG
  6. Peter, If you set Preferences to Keep Full Slide Duration ON then it is better to ALSO set Show Full Slide Duration. The two go hand in glove - IMHO? DG
  7. Hi Lin, Modifying a post in that way does not "flag up" that a reply has been posted? Would it not be better to reply in a new post? DG
  8. Ken, You are probably aware of the SPEED control which allows you to specify the Style time equal to the time of the slide(s) you are applying it to? DG
  9. Check that you have the Settings / Preferences / Project setting for "Keep Full Slide Duration" the same in both versions. Also the setting for "Show Full Slide Duration" should be the same. DG
  10. Terry, Try Styles out on a BLANK/NEW project to get some idea of how they work. Trying them on an existing project is not the way to go until you are happy about them and how they work. Applying a style will overwrite any existing animations in the slide that you are applying it to. DG

  12. Denis, Non-Indexed images can be included in the Style. DG
  13. You might get close with individual objects (.png files) zoomed differentially. DG
  14. Since the style has already been applied it is no longer necessary to include it in the ZIP. If you want to include it just drop the exported version on top of the ZIP in Windows Explorer and the recipient has it for future use. OR, create a Template, add the Style to the Template and ZIP that. DG
  15. Thanks Artem. DG
  16. Hi Igor, I have a custom transition which has multiple copies of Slide1 over a single copy of Slide2. I want to reverse that and have the same animation in reverse but this time have multiple copies of Slide 2 over a single copy of Slide1. If I was working in O&A I could go to Properties and change the PICTURE for Slide 1 to Slide2 and vice versa. I don't appear to be able to do that in Custom Transitions - or have I missed something? I don't want to have to completely rebuild something to reverse the order of Slide1 and Slide 2. DG
  17. Try a PM to Ronniebootwest? DG
  18. Igor, Is there an easy way to change 20+ copies of Slide1 in the Editor of Custom Transition Effects to Slide2 and maintain the programmed animations? DG
  19. Igor mentioned it right from Day 1 but I haven't really tried it with a CUSTOM Transition. DG
  20. This Style combines a Custom Transition (CT) and a Style. The Custom Transition is the Slices CT posted in the Transitions section and combines it with a gentle Zoom In. Just a Technical Excercise to prove that it works OK. Transition Duration is 2 seconds and Full Slide Duration is 8 Seconds. Apply to single or multiple slides or Video Clips. As usual if you place an additional slide or Video Clip after the Style Slide(s) with a 2 second Transition Time you'll get the expected result. If you adjust the Speed when applying the Style the Full Duration and Transition Time will be adjusted proportionally. To adjust these independently do it after applying the Style. 21. This Custom Transition "assembles" a 16:9 image from 100 Slices or Tiles. Works with Video Clips or Still Images. DaveGee 100 Slices.ptef DG
