Da campos, Is your video avi or mov or.......... Dg From BB
-
Hi Peter, Interesting! I cannot test until later on this afternoon but last night I was getting the same as Da Campos. the video I was using was a MOV out of camera. I can try again. I have also noted that PTE seems to no longer offer conversion automatically? Later? DgFrom BB

Da Campos, Can you TRY a different TRANSLATOR - the one you are using is NOT working? DG

Further info: The video does not seem to be the root cause of the problem. Dragging the video in first produces the expected result. A 20s Clip is properly inserted as 20s. If a still image is added first it also is correctly timed - adding a video sends things into confusion. The original still image (7s) becomes20s. The added video is correctly timed until a still image is added after the video. The video then takes on an extra 10s. This is different behaviour to V707. I believe we have a BUG Houston? I wonder if it is related (in any way) to the other bug where starting a preview from current slide goes back too far? DG

Da Campos, You are RIGHT!! When a Video is dragged into the Slide List in Version 7.5 its time is being wrongly interpreted. In my case I dragged a 1m 10s video into the time line and it became 1m 20s. The problem exists in both KFSD and non KFSD Modes. The problem is repeatable. I will try a few more different videos. DG
-
In KFSD, if you introduce a video into the Slide List by dragging from the File List, then the slide duration (including incoming and outgoing transitions) equals the Video Duration. Automatic! The video begins at the beginning of the incoming transition and ends at the end of the outgoing transition - no frozen frames. DG
-
Or you could use "Keep Full Slide Transition" and Automate the whole Process??? DG
-
Xaver's right that it is not serious, but it deserves to be looked at. I tried another scenario where a Button was programmed on slide 5 to go back to slide 3. In the actual EXE it works perfectly. It seems that it is only the TOAST Button which is not performing correctly. DG

Downloaded the BUG Demo thanks to Xaver's instructions. With the WAIT command disabled the first slide flashes on screen momentarily before the Slide 2 appears. DG P.S it does not do that in Version 7.0.7
-
With respect guys I think that the WAIT command is a "RED HERRING". There is also a difference between FULLSCREEN and WINDOWED MODE. The "problem" is more pronounced in FULLSCREEN and is hardly noticeable in WINDOWED MODE - on my machine with the WAIT command OFF. DG
-
You have an advantage over us - like Peter, when I click on the link there is no obvious Demo to download????? My tests did not include a "Wait" parameter but still behaved in the described manner. DG

In Version 7.0.7 the Preview begins at ZERO for the selected slide. If there is a transition the the previous slide is seen fading out. If there is no transition the previous slide is not seen. In Version 7.5 (on both of my Vista Laptop and W7 Desktop machines) it starts at ZERO minus X seconds when there is no Transition. If there is a transition it starts correctly at ZERO - this is easily demonstrated by inserted an object at the end of the previous slide whose opacity goes (suddenly) to nothing at the ZERO point of the selected slide. DG
-
I have now tried it on both W7 and Vista and cannot duplicate the problem. No minus figures and the green / blue progress bars show correctly. The next logical step would probably to ask if a Template could be posted where this behaviour can be repeated? DG
-
Peter, Open up V707 and start a new project with a couple of slides and QUICK TRANSITION. What do you see there? DG
-
Mary, I think that you need to go into FULL EDITOR in order to alter the Title. DG
-
Mary, I would be tempted to uninstall the 7.5 Full version and re-install. Just in case? DG
-
Agreed - one for Igor to look at when he returns - or one of the team to pick up on. I would go so far as to say that it is happening even when there is a transition - there seems to be too much of the previous slide before the transition begins. DG
-
-
Preferences? Turn everything on and move itmes to where you want them. you can then turn off any items that you do not want. DG
-
Try a quick (no) transition? DG
-
Jill, I was refering to Xaver's "problem" above. DG
-
With great respect to both, you are highlighting a pre-existing condition? You can reproduce this effect in Version 7.0.7. DG
-
Good idea. I always get an e-mail from Ken advising of a new Beta or a new version. Who is on Ken's mailing list? DG
-
I have already replied to the original question. The subject seemed to have changed direction - not by by me? I merely added my thoughts with regard to the change of direction. Xaver, I have ALWAYS approached anything to do with PTE from the point of view of quality - nothing has changed here. Why can we not have Usability AND quality at the same time? DG

At those prices does the customer not have the right to expect that the resizing has been done in pro software specifically designed for that purpose?? I am not pre judging anything that Igor might come up with if he decides to go down this road but it seems that your argument is based on cost-cutting for the Pro and not quality for the customer?? JMHO DG
