  1. Peter, I find your remark to be offensive and unbecoming of someone in your positionm I'm sorry that can't put my point over to you any better. DG
  2. Nice spec Ken. Nearly ordered one and then realised it does not take NEF files.. DG
  3. Here is a project which I have made to fit a 16x10 Laptop Screen. It is within a pixel or two of perfection Please feel free to have a fiddle around with it to make it perfect. DG 1920x1200_Sep29-2012_15-07-09.zip
  4. Peter, Igor's solution to the Image Border "issue" is to go to "Adjust Image and Borders > Canvas" and reduce the overall image by 20 Pixels (for example) all round. Then go to Border Tab and add a 20 Pixel Border. You can apply this solution to the "Window Mode" with a little experimentation. Create a Custom Sized Project by reducing its resolution by x pixels equal to the number of pixels in the Window Mode Border. When the Window is then created it will bring it back to your Full Screen Window Mode that that you are trying to achieve. My argument in the other thread is that it should be possible, by choosing an option of an "Inside" or "Outside" Border, to avoid having to crop before adding the Border / Window. Both "issues" revolve around WHERE you add the Border / Window - Inside or Outside. Outside distorts the AR. Inside preserves the AR. DG
  5. Peter, Using the 1920x1080 example: The Window is being added around the outside of the 1920x1080 and the whole thing then fitted to the height of the screen. Let's assume a 20 pixels border / frame / window. That makes it 1960x1120. The resulting AR is narrower than 16:9. It has always been the same and I tackled Igor about some years ago. It has the same implications as the thread regarding Borders. DG
  6. This has been the same going back to v4. Dg
  7. Peter, I am talking about EXACTLY the same thing as you. think about it?????? The border in window mode is added to the outside of the menu resolution thus distorting the ar.DG
  8. Adding a border or frame to the OUTSIDE of an object / window etc changes its Aspect Ratio. The only way to preserve AR is to OVERLAY the object with the border of the desired width. Pixels are then lost - the equivalent of cropping and then adding the border. DG
  9. It's an old problem - turn the Border off. I am currently trying to persuade Igor to add Borders INSIDE the frame AS WELL AS outside. I THINK it is the same problem?????? DG
  10. Peter, I think that you are on the right track. I don't have any prepared icons so searched for .ico and used the WMP icon. DG
  11. Peter, I just did it your way (I think) in W7: I added an Icon via Project Options. Created the EXE. In Explorer created the shortcut. Dragged the shortcut to the desktop complete with the icon assigned in Project Options. DG
  12. Sorry Peter, It works for me in W7. If you are saying that you want the shortcut to carry your chosen icon with it then I agree it does not happen. But I am able to CHANGE the icon on the desktop in both Vista and W7. It's a one off operation and doesn't seem to me to be too much of a chore? Maybe someone has a better answer for you - Igor? DG
  13. Peter, In Vista - if you right click on the desktop Icon and choose properties, you can assign an Icon for the Shortcut? Haven't tried W7 yet. DG
  14. Ah, well done. That's one for the memory bank - never used it! I'll bow out then - I was foolish to think that I could have been of any assistance here. We all have our own ways of working and adapting to someone else's working practises is sometimes diffidult. DG
  15. Presumably you still have the original e-mail with the key or the key somewhere on your hard drive? You can download 6.5 here: http://www.wnsoft.com/archives/ and start again. The installations of V7.0.7 and V7.5 Beta 7 SHOULD instal in a different folder and not interfere with your previous versions. Look in Program files and you should see a number of different PTE folders. V7 and V7.5 might need new licenses but 6.5 should continue to work? DG
  16. Hm, I've completely lost interest in this thread but....... It seems that the PTE has been saved in 7.0.7 and contains a feature no longer available in V7.0.7. Customize Slide > Music Tab is no longer available in a new 7.0.7 project?????? If the music attached in this position is deleted and added via the "Add Sound or Voice" Button it seems to make a difference i.e. it works. DG
  17. Yes, but cannot see your settings. We have to be singing from the same Hymn Sheet? If you set up anew project as I described we will be looking at like for like. DG
  18. I am going to try this once more and, depending on the reaction I get, I will either work with you or drop it completely – OK? I have my Menu set up roughly as shown in the file I posted a while back. (Version 7.0.7 / Windows 7). 1920x1200 Project (my monitor Res) – Slide length 480s Slide one – blank – Sound Clip added via "Add Sound" Slide two – (Different) Sound clip added via "Add Sound" - this slide has a button with a link to a 1920x1080 V7.0.7 EXE using "Run Slideshow and Return" Slide three – (Different) Sound Clip added via "Add Sound" – this slide has a button with a link to an earlier version 1920x1080 EXE using "Run Application or Open File" Observations: When stepping through the slides of the Menu the Sound Clip changes as expected – going forwards or backwards – and starts at the beginning each time. On Slide Two clicking on the link takes me to the V7.0.7 show with no "Flash Back" – at the end of the show the Menu re-appears (no Flash back) and the sound associated with Slide Two plays from the beginning. On Slide Three clicking on the link takes me to the pre-version 7 show with no "Flash Back" – at the end of the show the Menu re-appears (no Flash Back) and the sound associated with Slide Three plays (not from the beginning – from where it left off after clicking on the link). What I would ask you to do is to repeat what I have described in a new test and see if you have the same reactions. Please think carefully before replying? Best wishes, DG P.S. Still no Broadband and cannot play your video (yet).
  19. Still no video? DG
  20. Sorry, impossible for next few days.I have been without Broadband for a week. surviving with Blackberry and a"limited" dongle.DG
  21. Will you try a new project - Blank Menu to prove principles? Blank Menu attached so that we are singing from the same Hymn Sheet. Open the Menu - it is a 7.0.7 project - make sure that it actually opens up in 7.0.7 and not an earlier version? Add a different piece of music to each individual slide via the "Add Sound or Voice" button. Run the show and step through the slides - a different piece of music should start for each new slide. Link each Button (slides 2-4) to a PTE EXE (7.0.7) using "Run Show and Return". DG Blank Menu.zip
  22. "Don't interrupt sound comment"? Project Options > Music. DG
  23. Can I try to offer a possible explanation regarding the non-playing of music? Because the Menu is a multi slide project, the return will always be to the slide from which the exe was launched. If the exe was launched from slide two the return will be to slide two. If the music is attached to slide one then it will not play. I am trying to get a grip on exactly what the problem is and that's my first attempt. I am also trying to learn. If wrong I will try again based on further info. DG
  24. You can send him a personal message from here: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/user/11674-thedom/ DG
  25. Xaver, Gerard, I take your points but the OP described a domestic scenario and in that context I gave my opinion. I tried some of Peter's suggestions before offering my opinion and in the context of a domestic scenario had no problems. You guys, who are working on an International stage on a daily basis need the professioanal software. DG
