Instead of using "CLOSE" add a new Blank Layer (before pressing Print Screen) and paste to that. You build up a stack of images but it does not use a lot of memory or anything like that. Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. DG P.S. Alternatively: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptclpvue.asp Karen's Tools are reliable (IMHO) I use Replicator quite a lot.

That is still a very large file even for 1000 images! are they full size images or have they been resized? You should be able to get that down to 500-600 Mb by batch resizing (overnight!!). DG

Vilara, Does PTE Create an audio file from a Video clip or does it USE the audio contained within the video? Two different things? The Audio File is a "virtual" audio file and does not exist as a separate MP3. Are you asking that PTE should EXTRACT the MP3 from the Video clip? Are there not other softwares that will do that? DG

Stu, I know what you are saying and agree. But it does not read correctly - or is it me? Hawk requires a SINGLE instance? DG

Right click in O&A Objects Panel - Add Image.
-
Peter, I read it that way too. Hence my offerings of how to fade images in and out with Keyframes. DG

Jill, Thanks for pointing that out. The Timeline is a Minefield though and operates to both the rules of the Slide List and its own according to the position at which you DROP. If multiple Images are dragged and dropped into the timeline then the first Image is dropped at the position of the cursor, as you rightly say. Other images are then dropped according to the value set in Project Options for Slide Duration. If you are dragging into an empty Timeline the first image obviously sticks to the zero point. Similarly, the first Video in a group dragged into the Timeline will drop at the position of the cursor and all videos will then adhere to their video durations. Care must be taken when dropping an image in after a video in which case a certain amount of precision is required. I withdraw the "bug" allegation />. I also think that using the slide list for adding Images and Video is the way to go. DG P.S. Dragging and dropping between existing slides in the Timeline is another problem wheras doing the same thing in the Slide list produces the expected results.

Lin, More or less the same thing except that I would not make the single video from the 4 individual clips. It is easy to fade more than one image in and out in the space allotted by one of the video clips. Spanning two video clips with a single image if necessary does not take a lot of imagination. 6 of one .......... DG

Good observation!! I can see that if you use just a drag and drop anywhere in the timeline it is not the same procedure as dragging and dropping anywhere in the slide list. I will confirm in the morning but see no reason why you are not right. It is an imprecise way of adding slides or video compared to the slide list (imho). I will continue to use the slide list and kfsd.I hope da campos will understand. DG
-
One step at a time Lin? You can either have 30 images equally spaced or you can have an image every x seconds in time with music - you cannot have it both ways?? DG
-
Use KFSD and drag all four videos into the Slide List. Go to Timeline and note the total duration. Divide total duration by 30 - that's the time for each image which need four keyframes. Go to Slide 1 (Video 1) and enter O&A. In the Object panel add image one and arrange keyframes as shown below. Add a second Image in the Object Panel. Arrange Keyframes as shown in example 2.
-
Jill, Plase try exactly as follows. I have set my Project to Non-KFSD Mode especially for you. Add a JPEG to the Timeline in the new project. Slide duration should equal whatever you set in Project Options? Drag a video down into the Timeline after the original Slide - what happens to the Slide 1 duration? The Video Duration should be as per the Video time? Note the total project end time. Drag another JPEG down into the Timeline after the Video - what happens to the original Video time and the original Project end time? Many thanks, DG

Time offset also for audio tracks
davegee replied to uuderzo's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Correct Xaver, To do it with the mouse you have to SHIFT and Drag - using Customize clip they are already Locked or relative. Not intuitive - that's why I suggested Lock Track. DG -
Is it possible that the original Key that you bought is now out of date? If you install the version that was current when you bought the Key it will probably work OK? What version are you trying to install and when did you purchase the Key?? DG P.S. http://www.wnsoft.com/archives/

Time offset also for audio tracks
davegee replied to uuderzo's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
If you have more than one clip in a track - LOCK the track - go to CUSTOMIZE Clip - OFFSET first clip by exact amount required - all clips move by same amount. DG -
I hadn't thought of that!! DG

Look for spec of said phone - it will probably tell you which flavour of video file it will play? DG P.S. From user manual: Videos Learn to use the video player to play various kinds of videos. The video player supports the following file formats: 3gp,mp4, webm (Codec: MPEG4, H.263, H.264, VP8). ●● Some file formats are not supported depending on the software of the device. ●● If the file size exceeds the available memory, an error can occur when you open files. ●● Playback quality may vary by content type. ●● Some files may not play properly depending on how they are encoded. 1 In Idle mode, open the application list and select Videos.

Da Campos: http://translation.babylon.com/italian/to-english/ DG
-
Lin, As indicated above Igor and team have been working on this and a fix is imminent. DG
-
Da Campos, Can you confirm that dragging images and video into the Slide List gives you no problems? DG Può confermare che il trascinamento delle immagini e dei video nell'elenco delle diapositive vi dà problemi? DG
-
Totally agree. But if we can now drag and drop the audio as people seem to want then it is reasonable to expect that many will use the Timeline for both - and until Igor gets back to fix it we can expect a few queries along these lines. DG
-
Frans, As an experiment, can you try to rebuild the slide without the Mask in some way? In a recent PM discussion with Igor there was a suggestion about a future Version/Beta dealing better with the effects of Masks - maybe when he returns. In the meantime try minimising the use of masks? DG
-
Frans, Is the section which "Jerks and Stutters" controlled by a MASK? DG
-
Hi Peter, I'm back. The key to this problem is as I said in last post. If images and Video are dragged into Slide List - no problem - as you saw. If Images and Video are dragged into Timeline then the problem that Da Campos highlighted becomes obvious. Nothing is inserted in the correct Duration and the Freeze is observed. DG
-
Peter, I was dragging into Timeline and not Slide List. How much adjustment did you have to make for video? In normal mode it should be equal to transition time (no more). DGFrom BB
