  1. I see that you have not had any replies to your posting. Why not send a private message to Igor, he will normally respond very quickly.
  2. I am looking to use exe files for purposes of displaying my slideshows from my website or an on-line file storage site. What is the best way to minimise the size of the exe file. I want to have a reasonable number of slides to reflect the mood of the slideshow. Is there any benefit or way of reducing the size of the displayed show to less than full screen and does this make any difference to the file size? Has anyone used or considered WINRK 3.0.3 Executable Compression Software
  3. I have just done a search on google and came up with the following. http://www.download.com/Exe2Avi/3000-2194_4-10154100.html
  4. John Not sure if you were addressing your request to me (mightec). If you were below is a MediaFire Link, but be aware it is 98MB. It is done using the Blender Foundation process, which generates about 600 slides, one per frame, you can then place these into PTE and you have a 20th Century Fox type Introduction. Alternatively, you can just decompile an .avi file and you have the same effect. http://www.mediafire.com/?5b1m3dholxm
  5. Neil I support what Lin has said, I use Blaze Media Pro to decompile an .avi file and subject to the number of Frames per Sec of the original .avi, I run the slides with the appropriate time delay. I have just completed a 1m 44sec .avi video using 2600 slide, I am very happy with the result.
  6. Hi Ray Thanks for your comments, I will upload a template, however, I am waiting for TheDom, he will have a look at my slight concerns at the end of the week.
  7. Ken As always, thanks for your support.
  8. To all that supported my original posting. I have worked on the Zoom & Pan option within TheDom's Photo Album, I feel that it is a lot better than the first attempt, although still not fully acceptable. The process that I developed in the end dropped the Print Scrn method and worked with TheDom's original O&A settings. I changed a few things which enabled me to to get an almost free flowing transition, but this still needs some more work. At the point of the Z&P slide, I can still see the join, I think that it is something to do with shadows used by TheDom. I will keep trying, hopefully I'll get it cracked soon. If anyone is interested to see the current state, here is a link to an exe file: http://www.mediafire.com/?5ujkgduzo4p
  9. Morasoft You are right, I just changed a few personal pics when uploading, the cover, etc and forgot that I had Print Scrn another lower cover. The P&Z is quick, I was just looking to make the effect work, I hope to be able to fine turn it over the next day or so. Thanks for offering to help, but I will soldier on and see where I get too.
  10. Ray and Morasoft Thanks for your help, I do appreciate the time you have both taken to support my needs. I have tried to overcome my problem with a bit of a work around, not what TheDom would have done, but then I don't have his skill. I did a search on the forum and got some ideas to do a Print Scrn and in Photoshop create a .npg file which I pasted back into PTE, re-entered the photograph that I want to Z&P and it worked up to a point. I need to refine the process a little to make sure that I can achieve a smooth transition throughout, below I have posted a link to MediaFire where I have uploaded a sample. 11. Ray I am getting there, I find when I cut a hole in 'pages' the size of the landscape border, it works to a degree. The problem is I need to do the same with the 'lower cover'. Unfortunately, when I size these items the sames as TheDom did in his original template, the hole that I have cut also changes. Clearly, I am doing something wrong, there must be a better way of creating a mask layer, is there!!!!!
  12. Ray I have a play with your template, the difficulty that I am having is that I produce for DVD/TV with an aspect ratio of 16:9. When I change the screen setting to reflect this I can see the picture spill over beyond the album page. This is the same effect that I get when I modify TheDom's template. I'll put some more time into it and keep you posted.
  13. Hello Ray Thanks for sending the template and exe file, its pretty much what I am looking for, it certainly gives me the zoom and pan features. Thanks.
  14. Hello Ray Thanks for taking so much trouble to sort out a process to achieve my changes, I am having difficulty understanding the instructions, probably need sometime to work through them. Unfortunately, cannot do it today we have our 22 month old grandson here whilst his mother gives birth to twins in the next few days. The problem is I cannot get on to the computer because our grandson is on it viewing Thomas the Engineer and friends website. The youth of today.
  15. Igor Thank you very much for the release of this information, it all sound very exciting with a number of important developments. May I thank you for adding the feature to add music to the DVD menu. I am interested in your comments about importing AVI files, does this mean that we can add a video to a PTE slideshow? If so how will that affect the quality of the still photographs. cannot wait, thanks again.
  16. Hi Dom I am looking to make another change to your fantastic Photo Album Template, but I am not sure how to do it, can you help. After the page has turned to a new page I want to be able to zoom & pan the image. The idea that I had was to create a mask of 'pages' which I have done but it gives me a limited zoom capability. I want to be able to zoom & pan but without seeing the image spill over and come into view. How can I do this?
  17. Hello Colin I think you probably right, which at the moment is what I have done. The problem the subject is of a person speaking and it drifts away towards the end. I use Audacity and you can change the temp of the audio recording, I will give it a try. Thanks again for your interest.
  18. Bruce Thanks, I was interested to know, I use Win AVI Video Converter and Blaze Media Pro, as the name suggests you have to state with an AVI file. I assume that creating an AVI file in PTE there is a loss of some quality, if your converter, converted from PTE then that would be a benefit. Ron Here is a link to the WINAVI website http://www.winavi.com/en/video-converter/video-converter.htm
  19. Hi Everyone that gave me advise on this subject. I have finished the project and it works OK up to a point. The problem comes when trying to synchronise the speech to the timing of the slide display. I have set the timing at 40ms, the length of the sequence is 103.888 secs and there are 2596 slides, this equates to a timing of 40.1849ms. Is there any way that I can get this accurate with the timings?
  20. Bruce, the Converter, does this convert a .pte file directly to .wmv?
  21. Igor Thank you for the very quick response. I must say That I am really enjoying using PTEv5.03, as a ProShow Producer user in the past, it is great to be able to communicate directly with the people that can make things happen.
  22. Did I hear something about a version 5.1, when is that likely to be issued and what will it have over 5.03?
  23. Hello Ron and Colin Yes, I am running it as a video, I have run it at 2100 slides and it work just fine. It is important because it is a short introduction speech from a friends Golden Wedding Celebration in Tenby South Wales. I am hoping that it will be OK with the full 2600 slide, if not I will have to revert back to the original 15 fps.
  24. Hi I like you have used ProShow Gold and Producer in the past, then I found PTE and feel that the quality from PTE is much better than PSP, with a cost that is so much lower. I belong to the ProShow Enthusiasts Forum as well as this forum and find that there is a lot of support for the products. I tend to use PTE mainly for DVD for TV viewing, in PSP I always cropped my original slide to suit wide-screen viewing. With PTE I tend to use un-cropped slide size of 1024*756. Having said I prefer PTE to PSP there are some very nice features in PSP. It is also easy to import video footage, which you cannot do in PTE. I aslo like the Intro on PSP, this would be great to have in PTE.
  25. Hello Brian You clearly know this subject well, am I doing right by setting the slide period at 40 mS. if I get into any further problems I will give you a call.
