  1. I have been impressed for sometime by Jean-Pierre Cube and would like to do something very similar, but of my own making. I am looking for a tutorial that would set out the principles of creating the rotating cube, I have tried the Search facility but cannot see anything out there. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
  2. Jean-Pierre How did you manage to open the file using WinZip, I cannot get it to download.
  3. Lin I have not been around lately so I may have missed a couple of releases of PTE, you mention version 5.2. Is this different to version PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.1 NewDVD, if so how can I download this latest version.
  4. Hi Barry No problems with the download or the playing of the .exe file. Only slight probelm with the view in Creating a Montage, the buttons are overlapping the text, see thumbnail below.
  5. Barry Thank you for sharing the tutorial with us all, it is a great effect and I am sure that we will all give it ago. Of course you have just distracted me from what I was doing, now my mind is on what subject matter can I use to do a montage. I can always do the house decorating, next year. Thanks again.
  6. Barry I am sorry to hear that you are leaving these shores, but what an adventure, I have benefited from your considerable knowledge in the past and hope that I will be able to do so in the future. My very best wishes to you both.
  7. Old Timer I was a user of Photodex ProShow Gold and then later ProShow Producer, but I now mainly use PTE5.1, I think you will find that many on this Forum have gone through the same experience. I think that PSG is a good program with many nice features, but picture quality is better with PTE. I only use ProShow Producer when I want to use video intermixed with the still images.
  8. Hi Jim Welcome to the Forum, you like many of us here, have seen the light, the software is the best thing since 'slide bread', an English expression.
  9. Barry Thanks for sharing the process with me, but I think I will need time to reflect on the technique and a quite time before considering to 'jump in' and have a go. But I think it is beyond my Photoshop capability, would love to try though.
  10. Not sure that I understand how it works. I assume that you create a number of different montages and then use the Keypoints and Opacity controls to bring them to the foreground?
  11. Barry Being a 'Black Country Lad' and having gone to school in Coseley and with many of my forbearer's being from Wrockwardine Wood (Telford) this was an inspiring slideshow. The Montage effect was just sensational, the subject matter fantastic, what a technique, everything about the show was just right. You have really 'raised the bar' this time. I assume that this was from the Black Country Museum and Ironbridge.
  12. Hi Dom This is a posting from sometime ago regarding a request from Ronnie West to be able to remove the 'Turning Pages' sound track. Ron, thank you for your comments. You can easily remove the sound sfx : in the main window of PTE, select the slide one by one and for each, in the "sound" field (under "Main image" and "Comment" fields), remove the path to the sound file. I cannot understand the instruction, cannot find the 'Main Image and Comment' fields can you send me a Thumbnail image please.
  13. Hello Brian How you describe it is how it was, XoftSp, warned me that my Home page or Google search had been affected by a virus. I have now changed my Home page to my own website instead of this Forum. I am doing a regular search with XoftSp, but thanks for the advise.
  14. I know that this thread started with Ronnie's request for help in removing Norton Anti-Virus and installing something better. I would just like to put a word in for Symantec - Norton. I very foolishly, downloaded a piece of software called Backdoor, in doing so I found a virus on my machine called backdoor sdbot bkv which I could not remove completely from my system. Evertime I thought that I had removed it, when I rebooted my machine it was there again. Each time it disabled Norton AntiVirus. In desperation I contacted the Norton Customer Services and they spent the best part of 7 hours sorting out the problem for a fix fee of £69.99. All self inflected I know, but they really pulled out all of the stops and solved my problem. Thanks Symantec.
  15. Hello Glenn One way to do this is to use a Template, you could use one of TheDom's Templates, say his Photo Album. If you do, I have a single slide P&Z Template that works with it, there is a link to my Template below. Also on my Website I have done a Video Tutorial to show how to use the P&Z Template and import into TheDom's Photo Album Template. On the other hand, you can just configure one slide to the P&Z effect that you want and then copy and paste the slide, then change the image of the 499 other images. 16. Hi Peter What a great subject for a tutorial, looked at your attachment and seems to me that you have covered all of the bases, looking forward to the finished product. By the way, how do you get the 'Number of Downloads' to appear, neat.
  17. HI Peter & Ron Yes, Ron I have followed your progress, hope that it continues to go well for you. Peter, I have persevered with Norton and I have now got the BBC iPlayer to stream, it was all in the set-up Norton Internet Security, having read the BBC Message Board I was able to correct the problem, its now working OK and my wife can now watch missed programmes to her heart content.
  18. Morning Peter I tend to agree with you, the reason I am looking for a possible change is totally unrelated, I am having problems with the new BBC iPlayer. I cannot get it to stream and thought that this may have something to do with Norton. I can now use the Download option, but it takes an age.
  19. I have been intrigued by this thread and I am now tempted to remove Norton from my computer. I run Norton Internet Security 2003, which includes Norton AntiVirus (NAV) and I have maintained by subscription and upgrades. I also have RegCure, WsoftSpySE. Spybot and AD-Adware SE, plus anything that comes with Windows XP and Windows Defender. I think what we are talking about here is replacing NAV and not Norton Internet Security, is this the case? I would appreciate some advise on how to configure my system given what I currently have available on my computer. If I removed the whole of Norton Internet Security 2003, could I easily make WsoftSpySE my default protection and if so what be the best AntiVirus option.
  20. Morgane I assume that you are using PTE Deluxe, if so you should be able to burn a DVD directly without using a third party product, if you are not using PTE Deluxe, then download for an additional modest fee. Also check out Barry Beckham's website http://www.beckhamdigital.co.uk/ he has some free tutorials on burning a DVD in PTE Deluxe. Also you could contact TheDom's website, he is French with great knowledge of the application of PTE.
  21. Hi Sergio I have a PTE Theatre Curtain effect Template on my website, free to download.
  22. Ron The problem was that I restructured my folders and never gave a thought to the affect on my saved slideshows. I have overcome the problem by rearranging the folders back to something like how they were. But yes, I have learnt the lesson and now use the 'Create a backup in ZIP' feature, all is well.
  23. Hi Thanks for the information, I have given it ago via Notepad, seems to work fine.
