  4. Hello Photo99 Thank you for your advise, I am sure that you are right. I have welcomed everyone's input, it does help, but in the end it will have to be my decision and I need to be happy with the final selection. Has Lin as mentioned there is a lot written on the web, some based on preferences of one sort or another. At least here within the forum, I feel that I can obtain a balanced opinion.
  5. Xaver Thanks I will take a look, I have also being using Camera Lab,click the link.
  6. DG Thanks for your advise, I think that I am favouring the D300. Although I am by default a SONY man, TV's DVD Players, etc and I do use the Alpha 100 at the moment. We will have to see how the cost pan out.
  7. Hi Guys Well that must have been a good question, reading your responses, I do appreciate all of your comments. The problem now is how do I choose, the problem is that I live in a third world country, were everything is so expensive, but I like the sound of the Nikon D300 and will also look at the Sigma SD14. I'll let you know how I get on.
  8. I am looking to upgrade my current camera, I originally used a Minolta film camera and still have and use the lens, that is why I currently use a Sony Alpha 100. Not the best camera I am sure, but I bought it when they first came out. My needs for the future would be to use the Minolta lens or should I take the opportunity and look for something different. In general my photographs have been mainly family holidays, but I now feel that I would like to branch out into a more meaningful direction. I would very interested in photographing wildlife, landscapes and city buildings. What type of camera should I consider.
  9. Lennart Thank you, I didn't take the pictures, they are from a free downlaod site, to view more, click HERE.

  20. Lin I just checked it out and still get the same shimmering thin black vertical line.
  21. Lin/DaveG I am running it FULL SCREEN, it is a very thin line.
  22. Hi Lin My monitor is a GNR TB2200W running with a resolution of 1680 by 1050 and the video card is GeForce 9500GT.
  23. Lin I have just downloaded and played the file, it plays very well, very smooth. My only observation was a vertical flashing line at what I assume is the intersection between each of the 10 slices.
  24. I would just like to thank everyone that contributed to this posting, in particular TheDom, it was a great help. I possibly haven't spent to much time looking into the customising of the animation settings. Clearly this is something that I need to do, but I found it difficult to find any writeup on the subject. Thanks again and I hope that others may have gained from the posting. All I have to do now is rework my original template, hope to do this over the weekend. But now around of golf is calling.
  25. Dom, Thank you for sending the modified PTE file, I now understand fully your comments. I thought that you were saying that the problem was something to do with the smooth settings of the keyframes. I was looking for a centre reference to do with the keyframes. I had purposely set the Centre to 100 and 0 thinking that it would give a better impression of the images. I really appreciate your help.
