  1. I have recently restructured my Folders in WindowsXP, as a result my old PTE Slideshows come up showing a dialogue box - Errors Found. Is there an easy way to recover the pictures not found? In ProShow Producer you can quite easily locate the missing files and recover or do I have to recover each file manually. If not then I would like to suggest to Igor that this is included in future versions of PTE. This is not a complaint.
  2. I use MediaCam by Netu2.co.uk, its priced at circa $56.00 and it comes with a player and is great to present tutorials. Yon can export to PowerPoint and as an AVI or Flash file, you can upgrade to MediaCam Creator that enables you to create movies. Here is a link to their website: http://www.netu2.co.uk/v5/index.asp
  3. Morning Peter Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, thats the one, problem solved.
  4. Sorry not a very good Topic Title, but it is early in the morning for me. I have completed a PTE show with a manual advance to the next slide using buttons. I find that when I advance to a new slide I loose sight of my mouse cursor for a few seconds. I can overcome this by moving the mouse slightly, but this will not be obvious to any user of the template. Is there a tick box within Project Options that I have missed. Can anyone help!!
  5. Hi Carol Thanks for your reply. Silly question really, and I knew the answer, what I want to do is produce a DVD slideshow in PTE from my windows based computer. I assume the DVD will play in an Apple computer?
  6. I am producing a slideshow using PTE 5.1 on a Windows XP based machine, will someone be able to run the .exe file on an imac machine?
  7. Hi Dom Another Masterpiece, how do you do it, I will never know. Looking forward to downloading the Template to add to my collection of TheDom Originals, thanks. May I in return wish you and all those who are dear to you, a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
  8. Igor thanks for getting to the bottom of this problem. I have been in and out a few times today and no sign of a virus.
  9. Each time I directly open this Forum Website for the first time in a morning, Norton warns me of a TROJAN HORSE, I then do a scan with XoftspySE and Spybot and nothing of a serious nature is detected. Not sure whether it is this Forum or Norton, so this morning I opened another Website first, Norton did not detected a virus, but then when opening this Forum it did.
  10. Peter I have been using Norton Internet Security 2003 for a number of years and regularly update and maintain. The way in which it imforms me is as per the thumbnail below.
  11. Igor You will need to do something fairly quickly, I have just experienced another TROJAN HORSE alert, this time something called 'ODTHTIUH'
  12. Peter/Igor I have had the same experience as yesterday, on startup of PTE I was told by Norton that a TROJAN HORSE had been stopped. This is after I followed Peter's suggestion yesterday and deleted all of the Temporary Internet files.
  13. Peter Thanks for the advise, I have carried out the deleting process and we will see what happens in the future.
  14. Igor On startup this morning I was presented with a warning of a TROJAN HORSE.
  15. Hello Fred I saw Igor's posting on this, hopefully that will be the end of it.
  16. Each time I start up the Forum, I am asked the following question! 'This website wants to run the following add-on: NCTaudioFile2 ActiveX.DLL from NCT Company Ltd. (unverified publisher). If you trust the Website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here.' What is this all about?
  17. Jean-Claude What an inspiring proposal, this must have taken many hours of thought, the instructions and PROJECTAO.exe file are very informative. Just a personal view, but I think if this was adopted as the A&O standard then it would put PTE in the forefront of software packages. Igor - Thanks for your positive response to the proposal.
  18. Barry Not sure that I understand your comment, my fault, still very much a beginner, what do you actually mean by Frame/Mask. When I add in the Objects window of O&A a Frame, then group everything within the frame (Child) I still cannot get the frame to remain in proporsion when moving between different aspect ratio's. Please see thumbnail below.
  19. Hello Peter I am possibly trying to be too much of a perfectionist, I don't have a problem when displaying via a computer, having researched this forum, it seems, like me, that the majority of desktop monitors display at 5:4 and that is fine. So this is what I normally work at, but when displayed on a widesreen TV, I have a small problem. The modern TV adjusts the input DVD and shows it at full screen (16:9), but to do this some of the original image is lost, top and bottom. To retain the aspect ratio of the main subject, centre part of the image, I use the zoom function of the SONY, and of course I loose more of the outer parts of the original image. I was looking for a way that I could set-up the slideshow so that the propositions of the overall image are retained, whether I was working at 5:4, 4:3 or 16:9. The only way I seem to be able to do this is if I create a background for the main subject, of which you would see more or less depending on what aspect ratio I was using.
  20. Hello Peter Yes I can and the Sony does it automatically for me, so I don't have any problems viewing myself. It is more about other who maybe watching on their own TV, I suppose it not a problem if all TV's are the same and can be altered. But I have noticed on TheDom's Photo Album that what ever aspect ratio I set in Projects Options the album adjusts its self, which is very neat. I would be able to create one template and then the aspect ratio can be set depending on the screen requirements of the user.
  21. I am getting confused, I have produced a couple of slideshows with a screen setting of 5x4, but when I run these on my SONY Bravia widesreen TV, they fill the widesreen. I am assuming that the SONY TV is making the changes under its 'smart' screen settings. To do this I am clearly losing some of the original image, the upper and lower parts. Is there a way of setting up my slideshow so that when I change the screen aspect ratio setting in Project Option/Screen that the show will stay in proportion. This would be the ideal if it would then display that way even if I ran on my computer in 5x4 or someone else is computer which maybe 4x3 or a TV which maybe 16x9 or 4x3.
  22. Good Morning Dom & Peter. I am sure that Igor will pick up on this thread and accommodate the join interest and need.
  23. I have just experienced the need to integrate the objects and settings from one slide into another and for the imported parameters to run not at Keyframe zero but 4 secs into the new template. I would like away to be able to set just one Keyframe (Parent Level) and for all other images to run from the start point. Below is the original thread of my request through the Forum. http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7712
  24. Lin As always, that you for your very quick and effective response to my query. I will do as you suggest and add it to the'Ideas and Suggetion for Next Version. Thank You.
  25. Hi Lin Yes, I want to copy all aspects of the original slide animation, the image and the animation settings, e.g pan, zoom, Opacity, Keyframe settings, etc. I then want to run these imported images at Keyframe point 4000, e.g 4 secs into the combined slide effect.
