Hello Brian What I am trying to do is run a number of slides, 2600, at a speed that is equivalent to 25 slides per second. I have a job to do for a friend and it includes a short speech captured as a video. It was original taken on an SLR and at 15 frames per second, but this is a little to jerky. But if all fails I can revert to this speed.

John Thanks, I thought that I was well within the limit of the number of slides. I had saved the file, on a number of occasions, but if I had failed to save the last time, I should be able to see the previously saved file. The only other thought that goes through my mind, is that I am running the slides with a delay or 40 Mses, perhaps this is the reason!

Is there a limit to the number of slides or file size of PTE. I was busily creating a slideshow and had gotten up to 1300 slides, when I had problems opening the file, only to find that there file was no longer in the directory. Gone, completely disappeared, any ideas.!!!!!!!

Al How would I load the PTE file into Excell, is this as a text file?

Hello John No, I did think about it but I don't fully understand how it works and what it does. Perhaps someone else may have a view, but thanks for your comments. Only another 1,600 slides to go.

I thought that I would give an update on my task to configure 2600 slides in PTE. MY THANKS GO TO MARY, her suggest to use Notepad is a winner. I have tried a number of external programmes, Macro Maker, Macro Scheduler, etc, all of which require a lot of understanding, time that I did not have. I therefore followed Mary's suggestion of using Notepad and it works very well. The system that I am using is to copy and paste nine or ten slides in PTE. Then open up Notepad, find the slide I need to change, then use replace to identify the particular aspect that I need to change. Thanks Mary you are a STAR!!!!!!!

Ken I had done that, but I would have thought that the show would start with the first slide in the pause postion and then you would you have to press play to move to the next slide, clearly this isn't the case.

Let me explain, I wish to use the Navigation bar to control the speed of the slideshow. I have checked the 'Permit Control of Show using Keyboard' and the 'Show navigation Bar'. However when I run the show, the auto timings set in the Main Tab 'Time Interval for New Slides' still controls the show and the next slide appears before I want to move on. What am I doing wrong?

Mary Now that is interesting, I have tried this and whilst it looks daunting with the use of Find Next, I think that this is a way forward.

I have a major task, I am producing a slideshow and using TheDom's Photo Album template. I have reconfigured it to show a video effect. This means that I have to configure 2600 slides to show a new video picture frame on each slide, this will then run at 40 Mses to represent the video. What I would like to do is be able to do this automatically, by the press of a button or via an external programme. Any ideas!!!!!!!!

WOW again, where do you get your inspiration from for these effects, whilst sitting in the bath. I feel like a struck gramophone record, saying the same thing over and over again. What a great effect.

Igor Is there any movement on this subject, being able to add an introductory slide show before the menu appears and also adding music to the menu.

Hello Dom Just found this forum topic, I really like all of the Demo's and have downloaded the templates. I can see a lot of uses for all of the templates, you have a very innovative mind to be able to keep coming up with so many dirrerent effects. Thank you once again for sharing all of these with us. By the way, I recently posted a question on the forum and raised the matter of copyright and the restriction on changing any of your templates. I see that we have the right to add slides by copying and pasting. What I was looking to do with the Photo Album was to add a video/movie, to get this effect I would need to remove the function of the turning page effect. I would then copy and paste this page and thus by adding additional slides taken from decompiling an avi file it would have the effect of creating a video/movie. I have been able to achieve what I was looking to do, I am now asking for retrospective approval to make this changes. If this is not acceptable to you, I will delete the changes.

Al Yes I thought that I had done it in the past, however, I have overcome the problem by re-working the background soundtrack in Audacity. But if Igor is looking into it in future versions then that will be a great help.

Barry/Ray C I do use Audacity, that's what I used to create the background soundtrack. I thought that I would be able to just add a tack to the slide and that would play and the background track would stop, which is what happens. The problem is that after the slide track has finished playing the background track does not continue to play. I am sure like Ray C comments that I have been able to this in the past. I did try ticking the 'Don't Interrupt sound comments when next slide appears' but this does not overcome my problem. So it looks like having to re-edit the background soundtrack.

Good Morning Barry Thanks for coming back to me, yes, I can confirm and provide more details. Both music is in mp3 format, I can see both in the 'Project Option' and 'Customise Slide' dialogue boxes and see the background music in the timeline. The background music plays right up to the point where the slide set in the 'Customise Slide' music plays, after that has finished the background music does not then start playing.

I have tried to search this topic but cannot find an answer. I seem to have lost the background music I have set under 'Project Options' after the music I have setup in 'Customize Slide' has played, can any one help.

Jacques Like Lin says On2 Technologies Flix Standard is an excellent product. Myself I use an Australian product called Swishvideo2 from SwishZone.com it costs $49.95 and below is a link to download a trial version. I am a big user of TheDom's Templates and in particular the Photo Album. It states somewhere on TheDom's website that the templates are for personal use and cannot be changed, which I fully acknowledge. So I hope that this question relates to something that I am allowed to do, if not please ignore the question. What I am looking to do is create the effect of a movie/video using Lin Evans method by decompiling an avi file. For the length of movie that I am looking to use, it creates 500 slides. I then want to have the effect that the album page turns then stops and the 500 slides run at something like 045 Mses. I know that this will work, but I am looking for a simple way of adding the 500 slides. What I had in mind was to create a background of the open Photo Album, in to which I can then drop each of the 500 slides. I am not sure if this would require the use of a mask or that I would just drop the slides on top of the background, sized and positioned that fit within the white border of TheDom's original open page. There is likely to be other better options, perhaps using keypoints? By the way I don't know how to create a background. I HOPE THAT IN ASKING THE QUESTION THAT I AM NOT INFRINGING ANY COPYRIGHT!!!
