  1. Hello Jeff, Thank's for your answer. 1) Yes, one can position the blue triangle back to the beginning, but that was not the case in the older versions I think. Maybe there is a reason for this change? 2) Indeed, there are no jerks in the playback (screen window), nor in the preview at the first sight. But the blue triangle is really "bumpin" against every slide number and there is a stop, a fraction of a second. I don't know what it gives for example in a show with 200 slides. I have not seen this in previous versions. Cor Note: I noticed when I make the timeline window smaller, the "bumpin" problem is almost gone. When I make the window bigger the blue triangle is delayed for about a second and react further as above.
  2. Hello to All, 1) Opening PicturesToExe 5.6.1 final version, with a project, I noticed that the "arrow" cursor in the timeline window is not starting from "0", but at the end of the transition of the first slide (small grey flag). 2) Running the project with the start button in the screen window, the "arrow" cursor start to run, but is "popping" on every "slide flag" in the timeline window for a fraction of a second. I don't know if this results in a delay of the final project, but it is worrying me. I did not notice this in the older versions of PicturesToExe. Did someone else see this? Regards, Cor
  3. Dave, By pushing the "play" button it will change in "pause". Also a "stop" button is showing in place of the "<" and ">+" buttons. Pushing a second time on the "pause" button will ""stop"" the cursor on that place. Pushing the "stop" button will bring the cursor to the start position. Also in the main screen you have the same action, cq pushing "play" become "pause". In the timeline the cursor will ""stop"" on that place. When you push the "stop" button here, it will bring the cursor to the last starting place of your cursor (not to the beginning of the timeline). Greetings, Cor
  4. Thank you so much Igor. Many photoclubs will be very happy. Very easy indeed when you have projection afternoons or evenings. I look forward to this feature. Great work! Greetings, Cor
  5. Hallo Andreas, Very nice demo! Nice setting up, good pictures. Thanks for the exe and project files. This is very educational. If one want to see how it works, this is the way. With the project files, one can divide and separate elements and see how it is done. Very much appreciated. Greetings, Cor
  6. Hello Dave, For your info. I have seen your demo experiment. TRACTOR 1 = I have seen it exactly as you describe it. Very smooth on my computer (Quad CPU, 3 GB RAM, NVidia Geforce 8600 GT 512 Mb). TRACTOR 2 - TV SAFE ZONE = Also very smooth, 10 % TV zone: OK. But as described by you, 1-pixel lines between the black strips. Also the rectangles on the random basis, are showing a "raster" when they come together. Disappearing after +/- 1 second. Cor
  7. As a regular translator in Dutch of PTE, an option could be, to change "Fullscreen" in "Screen mode" and leave the "Windowed mode" (the second option). Cor
  8. Dave, Fullscreen is also confusing, because if the slide show has a different aspect ratio as the monitor, it will only fit to the nearest aspect ratio, and not fill the screen completely, isn't it. Cor
  9. Jean-Pierre, Peter, Yes we must have a value anyway to start with (in the frames properties). Maybe it is possible to show the aspect ratio (of the working screen) AND a starting value for the frame in properties? Cor
  10. Hello again, I think there is a misunderstanding in the first and fundamental start of thinking in the dimensions relationship. In "Project Options" - "Screen Options" there is the statement "Aspect Ratio of a slide" this must be in my oppinion "Aspect Ratio of the working screen" (see in O&A). When you consider the right aspect ratio of your working screen and put a wanted value in the properties for the frame, you can easyly see what is happening with your child(s). Cor
  11. Thank's Igor, It looks good to me now. I did several tests with parent-childs, it's working as it should. Tested also some complex old title effects with 19 various parent-childs and successive slides, all is appearing as before in version 5.52. Congratulations again, Greetings, Cor
  12. Hello to All, I have seen the following: 1) When in "Project Options" - "Screen Options" the "Fixed size of slide (in pixels)" is ticked, everything is working fine. Ex.: Pictures 1024 x 768, size on screen = 1024 x 768. When you use bigger or smaller pictures everything is adapted to the 1024 x 768 size on screen. No point if you have a screen of 1600 x 1200, 1680 x 1050, or whatever. Also the parent and child behave perfect. 2) When in "Project Options" - "Screen Options" the "Fixed size of slide (in pixels)" is NOT ticked. I receive the following (according my size of pictures 1024 x 768 and HP display of 1680 x 1050 pixels). Aspect ratio of a slide: 4:3 Your display: 16:10. Opening O&A; "Size/position in pixels of parent" I see, Position = 0,0 x 0,0 Size = 1400 x 1050. What is logical because the aspect ratio of the slide 4 : 3 and the maximum in heigth the screen can show (1050 pixels). When I put several childs they show always their proper dimensions cq. 1024 x 768. And the Position values are adapted perfect when one change the positions of the child to parent. So this is all working well and in a logical way. AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT PUSH FIRST ON THE BLUE "SIZE" BUTTON IN THE LITTLE SCREEN OF THE PARENT SLIDE, because then the parent slide dimensions change to the real dimensions of the slide, this is in my case 1024 x 768, and all other childs are shrinking too. So the proportions on the screen are lost. As a solution maybe (I'm not a programmer) it is necessary to block the possibility of changing the dimensions of the parent by pushing the "size" button, when in "Project Options - "Screen Options" one want to work with Aspect ratio and display size. 3) Some other small error: The description "Size/position in pixels of parent" is showing the same title for childs also. Greetings, Cor
  13. Hello Luc, This must solve the problem, please download via MediaFire: Sharing URL: http://www.mediafire.com/?2d32zwxgyds "Nederlands.ini" file for PicturesToExe deluxe 5.5 beta 10 - Upload the file from "MediaFire" - Exit PTE - Copy the "Nederlands.ini" file in the "WnSoft PicturesToExe/5.5 Beta 10" folder, confirm replacement - Restart PTE Greetings, Cor
  14. Hello Brian, Sorry about the misunderstanding, I thought I'll give the link the name of the file, so it will be clear to everybody... But no problem, my mistake, I'll follow "the etiquette" next time with the MediaFire Folio Link. Hello Henri, With pleasure. Just click the link. Sometimes MediaFire is slow, but it's working. Hello Ken, Thanks for the reply. But just for your records, I'm a HE Have a nice day. Cor
  15. Hello to All, For all Dutch speaking members and users of PTE deluxe 5.5 beta 9, who are interested: Adapted "Nederlands.ini" file with translation of "Auto save". MediaFire: Nederlands.ini - Upload the file from "MediaFire" - Copy the "Nederlands.ini" file in the "WnSoft PicturesToExe/5.5 Beta 9" folder, confirm replacement. NOTE: There are no changes in the translation of VideoBuilder in beta 9. Enjoy , Cor
  16. Hello Brian, Hello to All, I have been lucky, and so are the members of my photoclub, to make use of some technical cards that Brian made to solve our problems with different devices (screens and beamer). It's an excellent initiative. One cannot know everything and I enjoy learning every day. Thank you for sharing. Greetings, Cor Hello Henri, 1 Inch = 2.54 cm, 1 Feet = 30.48 cm, 1 Feet = 12 Inch See cm-inch-cm conversions Greetings, Cor
  17. Ray, Thank you for your offer, but with the test of Peter it's clear now. Peter, Thank you for your test with v5.04. Yes, of course, for the longest text line you do not see the "transport". So, if one want to put different text lines, with different locations (starting points) on a slide, you must create more text objects in <Objects and Animation><Properties>. So far that could have been some problem to line the text, but it is not anymore because we have the grid now. Excellent, thank you all to clear this out. Greetings, Cor
  18. Hello Peter, Yes, it's not that easy for me to explain what I want to say in English, but I do my best. All respect to you for finding a final solution to this "problem". I am really interested in your tests. And thank you to consider and try "my approach". If we 'll manage to find a solution, this will benefit to all the photoclubs who have to organize their festivals, or projection evenings/afternoons. Let's hope for the best result. Greetings, Cor
  19. Hello Lin, I thought that I have used it ones in the past but I'm not sure anymore. Yes, it's the same in v5.1. It's a pity, I don't have older versions either to check. Maybe Igor can look at it when he has some time, it's not priority I think. Greetings, Cor
  20. Hello Peter, Fine to read that you are making progress. I just try to help for what it is worth. Have you checked: 1) the EXE-show is started and ended with a black slide 2) in <Project Options> <Show Settings> "Close show after last slide" is ticked, otherwise you have an endless loop, or you must push "ESC" 3) in <Project Options> <Advanced> "Hide mouse cursor during show" is choosen I have experienced these settings for the EXE files are very important. It is important, I think, to keep every file of your project in one folder and launch everything from your hard disk. To avoid the flashes to the desktop, is it possible to put a "black" for a "certain time" to make calculations possible, or did you have this already? I don't want to be a creep or boring, but there is were I tried to find the solution with "the chain" and launch everything from the same folder on the hard disk. "By chain" I mean: Make copies of the Menu, the background with the buttons (buttons with titles of the shows), as many as you have EXE files. Construction: After your intro SLIDE 01 A black slide (time 2 sec) SLIDE 02 The Menu with buttons (every button has the action "Go to slide number..."; the first button has reference to SLIDE 04) SLIDE 03 Black slide (time 3 sec, 1 sec transition) (to take time to load and calculate) SLIDE 04 Black slide (time 2 sec) with <Run external application> annex the first EXE show After playing the show it returns to SLIDE 05 The Menu with buttons (every button has the action "Go to slide number..."; the second button has reference to SLIDE 07) SLIDE 06 Black slide (time 3 sec, 1 sec transition) (to take time to load and calculate) SLIDE 07 Black slide (time 2 sec) with <Run external application> annex the second EXE show After playing the show it returns to SLIDE 08 The Menu with buttons (every button has the action "Go to slide number..."; the third button has reference to SLIDE 10) SLIDE 09 Black slide (time 3 sec, 1 sec transition) (to take time to load and calculate) SLIDE 10 Black slide (time 2 sec) with <Run external application> annex the third EXE show After playing the show it returns to SLIDE 11 The Menu with buttons (every button has the action "Go to slide number..."; the fourth button has reference to SLIDE 13) SLIDE 12 Black slide (time 3 sec, 1 sec transition) (to take time to load and calculate) SLIDE 13 Black slide (time 2 sec) with <Run external application> annex the fourth EXE show After playing the show it returns to... ............. SLIDE xx Black slide SLIDE xx End credits SLIDE xx Black slide You can push the buttons at random to start the right show. This method must avoid the flashes and keep you free of desktop problems. Maybe there are other solutions too. Good luck. Greetings, Cor
  21. Hello Lin, Peter, Yes, I know. But my fault, I had to give more explanation. When you have 3 text lines, with different length. You highlight one of the shorter lines and choose "Left, Right or Center" then BOTH (shorter) lines are moved. Not alone the one you have highlighted. Greetings, Cor
  22. I just do one more try to explain that the "method" I have used in practice, for an audience of 150 people, has no flicker, no jumps, no interfearing, no flashes, no..., And can be perfectly projected with a beamer of 1024 x 768 pixels. Just read the posts and try it out, you will see it is working on VISTA and XP. The most important point is to use a recent videocard. All the other methods and suggestions in this topic I have tested myself in the past, the black slides, the memory stick, the 1-pixel slides, with or without menu, with or without intro, with or without buttons, with or without... They are not working with PTE v5.1 as described! The only thing that may be a problem is the configuration of your computer, but when one uses a recent machine, it must work for you as well. So far I did not see much reactions on my post about the effectiveness of the project, beside Peter. 1154 readers of this topic, 87 downloads of my MediaFire: TEST Chain show and ".pte" ZIP files. Did somebody else tried it out? Am I alone in this matter? Are you looking for an other implementation? Does nobody believe me? Greetings, Cor
  23. Igor, For your info PTE Deluxe 5.5 Beta 7: After "Add Text". The "Left, Center, Right" text navigation is not working anymore in <Objects and Animation> <Properties>. The "Blur" is working fine now. Greetings, Cor
  24. Henri, Off tick "Pixels" and you can adapt X and Y from 1 to 20 columns and/or lines. Greetings, Cor
  25. Hello to All, For all Dutch speaking members and users of PTE deluxe 5.5 beta 7, included VideoBuilder, who are interested: 1) MediaFire: Nederlands.ini 2) MediaFire: Nederlands.lng NOTE: If you already have downloaded "Nederlands.lng" for the beta 5 version; in this version beta 7 are no changes in the text for VideoBuilder. Upload the files from "MediaFire" 1) copy the "Nederlands.ini" file in the "WnSoft PicturesToExe/5.5 Beta 7" folder 2) copy the "Nederlands.lng" file in the "WnSoft PicturesToExe/5.5 Beta 7/VideoBuilder/Lng" folder confirm for both files replacement. Enjoy , Cor
