  1. Don't worry Royo it gets better when you are over 80 . Joking apart I too look forward to some useful tutorials once Version 5 has reached its final stages. The use of the TV Safe Zone in Objects and Animation is understandable, but what is the equivalent setting in Project Options>Screen to match those borders? Ron [uK]
  2. Ray The first row after your message should contain buttons ON or OFF(inactive), CARD, PM, REPORT, TOP, QUOTE and REPLY. Any help. I have used the Report button for some previous scams but I am unable to volunteer for a week or so. There were a couple of borderline cases recently on which I did not act, but I see that they have been deleted. Best wishes Ron [uK]
  3. Yes Alan, that is exactly what I do, but Jan's problem was converting from a 3:2 format to 4:3 format and losing some wanted parts of the image. I offered a dodge of slightly squeezing the image from the sides or stretching from top or bottom. Otherwise the thing to do is to allow for cropping off the sides when taking in 3:2 format. I ask members of our AV Group to do this when we are taking images for a combined project. Ron [uK]
  4. Jan A dodge that I sometimes use before cropping, when trying to select from a 3:2 image, is to squeeze it in from the sides or stretch it out top and bottom. I do this in Photoshop using Select>All then Edit>Transform>Scale. The change is basically not noticeable to a viewing audience particularly with landscapes. I will await the brickbats from the purists Ron [uK]
  5. Stevie I am sure what Al means is as your first assumption. Create a new folder in your Program File and rename it as PTE(4.4) or whatever. Then copy over the contents of your PTE folder into it. You can then instal the latest version of PTE 4. If you wish to instal the latest Beta of Version 5 you will find that it will be installed in a separate folder Program Files>PTE 5.0 Ron [uK}
  6. Thanks Guido. I did report this last one. I wasn't aware of the facility until Ken mentioned it. I fully appreciate your efforts and others on our behalf. Best wishes. Ron [uK]
  7. Ken is right and you will see that yesterday I added a postscript to that effect and a thank you on my initial posting. There were three postings at approximately the same time all from spurious names. For information the ones which I get in my e-mails, which Norton segregate as Spam, as a general rule all emanate from the USA. Offers of medication, education, loans, investment etc are all in US dollars. With this edited added paragraph you will see, at this point in time anothersuch posting has been added. Ron [uK]
  8. There follows three unwanted intrusions into our successful forum. I have enough of this rubbish intruding into my e-mails under cowardly fictitious names without my extensive blocking unable to stop it. Who are these mindless individuals? Ron [uK] PS As of now, 06.18 PM Greenwich Meantime, the intrusions have been deleted. Thank you. RW
  9. To Igor MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY Ron [uK
  10. Hello Mike. What happens if you switch off your internet connection when watching a show? Ron [uK]
  11. Normally Phil I prefer my AV sequences to be full screen with no borders or background. But the exception always proves the rule as it is said, for in your sequence the fine line border, subtle dark tartan background and constant frame size and format has produced most enjoyable viewing. Thanks. By the way the sequence is on www.beechbrook.com Ron [uK]
  12. What is this all about Fish? Why have you repeated the previous post? Ron [uK]
  13. Latest posting is showing 7.52 p.m. instead of 7.52 a.m. {Greenwich Mean Time} Ron [uK]
  14. She obviously has a nose for a good picture Ron [uK]
  15. Bethalan You wrote - "I have just finished my first sequence using PTE 5 . While I was working on Beta 6 version all was well. This morning I downloaded Beta 7 and at the end of the sequence the music starts again, plays about 3 bars from the start of the music , I get black boxes across the screen and then the music cuts out." If you have a sound editing programme such as Audition or Audacity, just at two or three extra second of silence at the end of the sound track. Ron [uK]
  16. I have just watched your Hampden Pye Anaglyph, Ian. It is truly great and your narration fantastic. Well done. With your permission I will show it to Sutton Camera Club AV Group at our November meeting. Best wishes. Ron [uK]
  17. Thanks for your timely reminder Ken I have started already on those clocks and watches which do not need an instruction manual. Then there is the tedium with the rest cooker, microwave, watches and car. Oh for the life of a nomad. At one time in the UK we had double British SummerTime or daylight saving hours to help the farmers with food production during the war. You just about managed to adjust your sleep pattern before the clocks changed back again. Did you know that some lucky parts of the world do not change and others do not change on the same date. It is now 8.00 a.m. in the UK and my tummy thinks it is past my breakfast time Ron [uK]
  18. Bill Take a look under the heading "How to create a video" I think you may find your answers there. However you may care to wait for the future developments in PTE 5.0 which Igor has mentioned. Ron [uK}
  19. As regards Question 1, if it relates to stitching multiple slides together for a panorama, then this has to be done outside of PTE5 in a picture editing programme such as Photoshop or Serif's PanoramaPlus, prior to introduction into PTE5. Ron [uK]
  20. Excellent. What a great idea. Thanks John. Ron [uK]
  21. Thank you Dominique. Up and running very successfully. Lots to look at. Ron [uK]
  22. Jeff I have created panoramas in Photoshop, using three images as illustrated in a Birthday Greeting which I posted on Beechbrook last year. Since then I have used Serif Panorama Plus software stitching five images together. Ron [uK]
  23. Smooth as silk Michel. No problems whatsoever and most enjoyable Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1400 MHz NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 256 MB Ron [uK]
  24. Igor As the initiator of this thread I thank you for such prompt attention. Best wishes. Ron [uK]
  25. Why has the background changed to Royal Blue? It is very difficult to read the black lettering WnSoft Forums> etc. Ron [uK] PS Sorry that this post has been triplicated but indications were that it was not being activated. RW
