Hi Mark, I actually use ON1 Photo RAW with Affinity (the Canva version). TBH I was a user of LR for many years but objected to the subscription model that Adobe went to so jumped ship and after a lot of research found that ON1 worked for me, especially since I could import the LR edits. Have been with ON1 since way before Covid. So no technical reason for moving away from Adobe eco system. Having said that I am perfectly happy with ON1 and Affinity. Both are stable with my Windows 11 system and do what I want. Mike

JRR, thanks for the feedback! Indeed, quite often the AI doesn't understand (can't, won't, or imposes its opinion), and you have to repeat it several times to achieve the desired effect.
-
Amazing what Ai (and you) can do. Many, at quick glance, didn't look Ai produced, a few did While I personally didn't care for some of the images, they were are all well done Congrats

Trying to keep up with the times, I installed a program for working with and generating images and videos using artificial intelligence (AI). Using and testing various AI models and corresponding prompts, I tried to achieve the most realistic images and representations of people, interiors, events, and settings in various conditions. How and what I got is up to you to judge. Enjoy.

I believe we have lost all sense of proportion, and everyone is just talking for the sake of it. For anyone writing about PTE AV Studio, even though it operates as an NLE, it simply cannot be compared to traditional video editing software like Resolve or the many open-source tools out there. Those who put them in the same basket completely miss its true nature. While standard video editors are built to manipulate native moving frames, PTE comes from a radically different, almost artisanal tradition. It is built for the millimetric control and optimization of the still image, precise vector keyframing on high-resolution photography, and perfect audio synchronization for high-end audiovisual authorship. Its rendering engine treats photography with a level of respect that standard video software simply cannot match. At the end of the day, I remain convinced of one absolute truth: it is the final result that matters. If the transition, the timing, and the visual sequence convey the exact vision you had in mind, the tool becomes invisible. The rest is just noise. Ghulya

So, I finally figured out how to use the crop tool successfully, although I must say I think the DR interface is more straightforward. That said, if I had started out using this apporach on other platforms I would not have encountered any issues. The other tools are pretty straightforward. I may stick with DR over time as it has more features (useful for more important video contriubtions to a project) but the optimizer is a nice add on for this software.
-
Thanks. I did watch the video and that is what prompted me to puchase the video optimizer. It is not as intuitive as other NLE's I have used so I was just wanting some of the logic behind the process to be used. I will continue to experiment but having a few things in black and white can be helpful.
-
It is very easy to use, much easier than DR. Have you checked out Igor's video here Jill
-
I checked the site and read that staff feel the optimizer is easy to use. I admit to having a laugh to myself because I am quite familiar with Davinci Resolve which I have used for years. Maybe how I view DR gets in the way of understanding how to use the optimizer. I read there are no plans for a user guide but perhaps a brief message with key points to operate it would be helpful to more people than me. I would rather make adjustments with the video optimizer than using DR. Regards, Brian
-
Hi everyone. Igor, are there any specific user guidelines for the video optimzer and the interface with PTE Studio Pro V`12? I have been away from the forum for a while but look forward to getting back into things with the new version. Regards, Brian

Thanks Jill, I'll be going from V11 pro to V12 Pro Geoff

Igor said the prices will remain the same as V11. So if you are going from V11 pro to V12 pro it will be $49 If you are going from V11 Studio to V12 Pro it will be $75 Don't know what it will be if you are going from an earlier version, you may have to pay the full price Jill
