Regarding the volume of the new special effects, I do have the impression that the volume is rather low, even at a setting of 200. Compared to the standard music volume (100), I think a sound effect should be audible above this volume. So, to be audible, the volume should be adjusted (setting higher than 200). Or the volume of the special sound effect should be at least as loud as the standard music volume (100), with the option of increasing it to 200, as is currently possible with the music. Greetings, Cor

Batch insert titles/text on all slides, video.
digartal replied to ibay770's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
When I need to do this, I create it once, then copy and paste to the following slides/images. This saves setting all the parameters each time, and you just have to edit the text. Hope that helps? -
Just reading through the posts and you can add your own sounds see -

Igor, would it be possible to add sounds from my collection to this library? I'd like to add bird sounds, (female/male) laughter, alarm clocks, ticking clocks, kissing sounds, typewriter sounds (would be great for text animation), drops of water, streams, gunshots, sea waves, and more. And of course, I'd like to see a sound waveform so I can see the beginning and end of the sound, its peak and trough. Thanks for such an interesting new feature in the new version.
-
When adding a sound to a slide, the sound object cannot be replaced.
-
I hope this dedicated timeline will appear in v12, as it is really necessary if we want to use this feature.
-
Greetings Igor, Is this to have an effect on the entire video clip, or can just a portion of the video clip be affected by the 'Interpolate frames'? I'll wait for a tutorial...too many questions.🤔 Gary
-
Ok...But what is the 'Start Time' used for? If the 'Offset' is the time where the 'Sound Object' starts, I'm not sure what the 'Start Time' is used for. Gary

Dave, This is the default sound library included with the program. We'll continue to expand it. Users can add any other sound files to a slide/transition through the Open file window (by clicking the Add Sound object button on the top toolbar).

Igor, Can you explain how the user can add sounds to the SOUND LIBRARY? DG Main/all/styles and transitions/sounds??
-
Gary, Glad that you found a reason with the issue with a wrong offset. Currently Sound objects are not displayed in the timeline of the editor as waveforms. Probably in future version. The main idea of a new Sound object is to play short sound effects (1-3 seconds). Examples included in the Sound Library which appeared in Beta 3.
-
Gary, try the simplest thing: 1. Add a video with fast motion in a scene. 2. Set speed 5-10% 3. Tick the option "Interpolate frames". Then create another version with unticked "Interpolate frames" and compare results in a fullscreen preview.

Trimming and adjusting the speed makes the audio disappear.
Igor replied to jienense's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
Yes, that's correct for V12. When video speed is not 100% or when you add keywords, the sound is muted automatically. The same was in previous versions (for speeds not equal to 100%). We plan to enable sound for the modified speed, but I'm not sure how long it will take to write this code. -
When key points are added or the clip speed is changed in an MP4 file with sound, the audio disappears. This creates a problem when creating transitions with files that are slightly longer than 2 seconds, because the audio disappears when the speed has to be changed to fit the video to the 2-second transition. This is normal.

(Beta 3) Ok... I just set only the Offset to 12 seconds and it played at 12 seconds. Good. I was also setting the Start Time to 12 seconds but that did not work. But...the sound does not appear in the Timeline for any adjustments. Should it? Gary

Hi, In PTE AV Studio 12 we added the Sound Library with camera shutters, clicks, page turns, and whooshes. Install new Beta 3 to try his feature. You can also add your own sound files. Adjust the volume and offset from the beginning of the slide.
-
Beta 3 is available See the download links above. Added Sound Library with camera shutters, clicks, page turns, and whooshes. Improved smoothness of interpolation between keyframes for long animation when using the Smooth modifier or other speed modifiers. Especially on long panoramas. Added hardware decoder for AV1 videos (Windows only). Requires graphics cards from 2020 or newer: NVIDIA Geforce 3050+, AMD RX 6000+, Intel Arc or 11th Gen+ integrated graphics. Updated German and Italian translations for PTE AV Studio 12.

Greetings, I am trying out the new 'Sound Object'. I put in a 'Bells Only' sound clip. And then I set the Start Time to be at 12 seconds. However, it does not play the sound at all. Also, when viewing in the Timeline, I don't see the wave form to make any audio level adjustments. What am I doing wrong??? Gary
-
Igor, Thanks. the two additional buttons for trimming will be very useful. But I still don't understand how to use the Interpolate Frames and Speed Key points and Speed. I can get it to do something but have no idea what I'm doing. A tutorial would be helpful.😂 Gary

For me, the mask option looks like a workaround; blending modes typically are parameters of the objects, and Photoshop shows us a model that is compatible with trees of PTE-objects that are rendered independently.
-
Hi Igor, I'm glad to hear you're working on this feature! It's a very important one. The mask option is perfectly fine for me; sometimes a mask is needed to use a specific area, but for full display there's always the built-in rectangle mask. But I wouldn't be opposed to other options as long as they're technically feasible within the program's capabilities. Thank you for your work on this feature!

Gary, We plan to add special two buttons to set start and end points for trimming according triangle cursor. It will appear in Beta 3 or 4. I'll publish a small tutorial soon. We need to add some improvements for this window, and then I'll write the tutorial. I recommend to try now a new "Interpolate frames" option. Use some video footage with fast motion scene (cars, train, waterfall). Set video speed between 5% and 20% and enable "Interpolate frames" option. Check the result. Real my demonstation here: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/52571-frame-interpolation-for-slow-motion-video/

Gary, Do you have Windows 11 or 10? I checked on my Windows 11 (24H2) in Media Player, Classical Media Player, and Movies & TV player. All is OK with synchronization of audio for created in PTE video. Probably some app has replaced system audio/video decoders on your PC? Media Player uses system decoders/filters. VLC and MPC-HC use own decoders.

Greetings, Trying to figure the Trim function in this menu. As I play the video, I want to pause it to establish the beginning trim point. So the red triangle is at the point of the beginning trim position. How can I move the lower white triangle to where the red triangle is at? This has been the problem with the previous version. If I click on the white triangle to move it to the position of the red triangle, the red triangle will reposition back to the white triangle and I lose that set trim position. How do I get the white triangle to move to where I placed the red triangle? And I have no idea how to use the other items, like Interpolate Frames, Speed Key Points and Speed. Is there a video on how to use them? Gary

Greetings Igor, I never thought of trying a different player. I normally use Windows Media Player, which is showing this audio sync problem. So I just tried playing it with VLC and MPC-HC and they do NOT show the sync problem, as you pointed out. Quicktime also plays the video correctly. I also tried it with Media Player, and it also shows the sync problem. This audio sync issue shows up from the very beginning of the video when played in these other two players (Windows Media Player and Media Player). I just uploaded it to my Facebook page and it is playing correctly, in sync. Interesting that the Windows Media Player (and Media Player) is handling it differently. If you happen to figure out why this is happening, let me know. Seems to happen only to YouTube videos that have been downloaded and played with Windows Media Player. Just more noticeable when the lips don't match the audio! Thanks for checking this out. Gary
