  1. Thanks in advance!
  2. 1GB of DDR3 video memory. I tested with output of HD video file 1920x1080, High quality preset. PicturesToExe 7 doesn't use fully GPU accelerated video decoding. But we implemented partial computations for video decoding. It allowed reduce CPU loading in 2x times and reduce video memory usage in 2.5x times.
  3. Dynamic blur effect exists in my TODO list. It's my favourite feature. We're re-writing the graphical engine of PicturesToExe now to be able implement this effect later. Blur may appear in version 7.5 or 8.0.
  4. Thanks, Robert!
  5. I wrote an article about our company for the website: http://www.wnsoft.com/about-us/'>http://www.wnsoft.com/about-us/ Short version also here on the bottom side of this page: http://www.wnsoft.com/ The main page of PicturesToExe also was completely reworked 2 weeks ago. I wrote the new text for this page. http://www.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/ Reviews page has been completely reworked 5 days ago: http://www.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/reviews/ All texts on the website have passed through professional proofreading. And we plan introduce French and German versions of our website in 2-3 weeks. As I promissed it in September.
  6. I've ordered the custom configuration of my new home PC. My intention was to build a new silent PC and fast for work in PicturesToExe and for video encoding. CPU: Intel i5 2500S, 4-cores, 2.7-3.7 GHz. I choosed this CPU, because it's has low power consumption (max. 65W) and it's almost the fastest CPU on the market. Video card: ASUS Geforce GT 440 with passive cooling (max. 65W). It was a difficult choice, because it's almost low-end, but the only one video card with passive cooling. However it should work in 1.5-2x times faster than my previous Geforce 8600GT (good video card for 2007). Although this video card is not for modern 3D games, but it's ideal for PicturesToExe. There are no slideshow that can load on 100% this video card. It *really fast* for PicturesToExe, fast for all effects that we plan in future versions of PicturesToExe. Memory: 4GB I think it's enough for now. Power supply unit: Enermax Pro87+ 600W. I temporarily use another one, but Enermax should arrive to me at the end of this week. In theory Enermax is the most quiet power supply unit on the market. Speed of its fan is only 300-800 RPM. No fan noise or electronical noise. HDD: Western Digital 1TB Green 5400 RPM. It's not fastest HDD, but it's a quiet HDD. I plan try SSD later. CPU cooler: Zalman CNPS10X Quiet. Large and quiet cooler. I also replaced all case fans and CPU fan to Scythe Kama Flow2 (900rpm) and Scythe GentleTyphoon (500rpm). OS: Windows 7 64-bit. P.S. This new PC on Intel i5 CPU encodes H.264 video in 3 times faster than previous one with Intel Core 2 Duo.
  7. Hello Chuck, All these formats are not optimal for use in PicturesToExe. Uncompressed QuickTime should have large file size and others based on H.264 format which is heavy for decoding. We recommend MPEG4-ASP, DIVX, XVID formats in *.avi ro *.mp4 file containers.
  8. Dave, The default action on this double click is appearing of the Customize slide window. If you make a new installation it will be default behaviour. When you install a new version and import settings from previous version, PicturesToExe should use your previous choose.
  9. First beta version in 3-4 months. It will contain a lot of improvements.
  10. The following version 7.5 will include advanced tools for manipulations with a sound track of a video clip.
  11. Many thanks for your support!
  12. We'll try add Unicode support in the following version 7.5. Text fields in current alpha version already support Unicode text.
  13. Peter, It can take some time.
  14. I sent a report to AVG developers yesterday for this false positive.
  15. Future version 7.5 will introduce advanced audio editing (manipulations with tracks) on the main timeline in the main window. The timeline and the slide list will be reworked accordingly. It would be the main feature of the following version. User interface again will be improved, especially the Project options window, Slide properties window, a completely new window to choose transition effects. Now we're also re-writing code of the graphical engine to be able add new important features in following versions. We also often pay attention to existing features and improve them. Video, audio, user interface, effects, etc.
  16. No problems with license keys anymore. 1. We send two emails with license key from two different servers located in different countries. 2. First email arrives instantly after purchasing. 3. New license keys have simple view like this: B7BUD-GY48P-PMIXJ-5RBES-BJEH2 Email servers or email programs will not damage this simple short license key. User can easily load this license key to PicturesToExe. 4. Also we respond to queries 7 days a week.
