Dominique, Probably it would be better to create dedicated topic in "Ideas and suggestions...". This feature will require using of more complex using of video card. I wouldn't harry with it, because only video cards since 2003 year support this feature (Pixel Shaders 2.0+). Kalain, Thanks, I'll try fix it.

1) What version of PicturesToExe you use? 2) Please check up a state of the next option - "Synchronize music and slides" (in Project options | Main tab). It should be turned on.

Dominique, Do you speaking about Blurring parameter for a keyframe with interpolation of blur values between keyframes of an object? Or static blurring, like current option "Blur" but with adjustment? Kalain, Thanks, it will be fixed in Beta 19.
-
Xaver, I just posted Beta 18. It fixes both problems you've discovered (text and blurred picture).

[3D Transformation] Need explanations about "Z position"
Igor replied to thedom's topic in General Discussion
Umberto, Sorry, it's impossible due to restrictions of DirectX and even modern video cards. They don't support Z-buffer for images with alpha channel (32-bit textures) - all Text objects, Images with edge-antialising, Buttons. All we can do in next versions - pseudo Z-buffer which will automatically sort order of objects taking in attention Z position of an each object in 3D space. However natural occlusions still impossible. 3D games use Z-buffer for 24-bit images (without semi-transparent areas) or use sorted tree of objects and a lot of mathematical calculations. It also produce visual defects in many cases. As I heard DirectX 11 and future video cards will support Z-buffer for 32-bit images. Probably better to use "Z distance"? Because properly say it isn't a zoom. -
Dominique, Thanks, I'll fix the issue with Slide properties dialog. Xaver, I've reproduced the problem with blurred picture. Also we've fixed the problem with font quality. Quality of text will be perfect in the next Beta 18 tomorrow. Thank you!

PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.0 Beta 17 is available Download link: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-beta.zip (7 MB) Changes in this beta release: + Bugs-fixes in the main program. + Updated language files. P.S. The issue with view of some text symbols will be fixed in the next Beta 18.
-
I just found possible solution for this problem with fonts. We won't include it to Beta 17 today. I hope after several days of testing updated text rendering will be included to Beta 18. Thanks!
-
Thanks, Lin. Now I see this problem with "x" letter. We'll investigate this issue.
-
We can't resolve this issue because of nature of very thin Rectangle object used as a line. I recommend you use for your project graphical file.
-
Lin, Please attach two screenshots. I don't see any difference for small text on my PC. Due to vectorization we use same form of text symbols for any visual size. In opposite Windows varies view of text depending on its visual size. Theoretically we can add one more parameter to slightly adjust form of text - I'm afraid it will complicate more the program. Currently the benefits of new text is same view of text in slideshows for PC and Mac. Dominique, Both methods are good. We should keep and current way, too. I'm afraid it can be leaved for next version only, sorry.
-
What version of PicturesToExe Deluxe you currently use? Please try latest version 6.0 Beta 16. It should fix similar issues with burning.
-
Xaver, In version 6.0 we're completely rewrote text rendering for several reasons - vectorization to use unique fonts, more clear view, same view of text under PC and Mac. I know the result a bit different, but it was impossible to keep exactly same view. Dominique, Daniel, The name is same, but full file path (folder) could be modified. For this reason PicturesToExe asks to save a project.
-
Daniel, I checked up for this problem. And it's normal behaviour, because at 3th point you first time created EXE file and probably choosed unique name different from project name. For this reason the program ask you save the project again. Next time it will not ask you anymore until you use Create As to give another EXE file name. I just tried and couldn't reproduce described problem. Probably you have missed a point with creating EXE file like in previous problem?
-
"Run slideshow" command supports only one parameter -slide x other commands are not supported, sorry. You need to use "Run application" to use other commands or BAT file.
-
"Photography Monthly" magazine (UK) will publish an article dedicated PicturesToExe in the next issue (November) which will be out around middle October of 2009.

Xaver, This poll was intended to help us choose right decision. I've learned now a main usage of this option, and we'll keep this option untouched. Thanks for all comments.
