Daniel, I checked up for this problem. And it's normal behaviour, because at 3th point you first time created EXE file and probably choosed unique name different from project name. For this reason the program ask you save the project again. Next time it will not ask you anymore until you use Create As to give another EXE file name. I just tried and couldn't reproduce described problem. Probably you have missed a point with creating EXE file like in previous problem?

"Run slideshow" command supports only one parameter -slide x other commands are not supported, sorry. You need to use "Run application" to use other commands or BAT file.

"Photography Monthly" magazine (UK) will publish an article dedicated PicturesToExe in the next issue (November) which will be out around middle October of 2009.

Xaver, This poll was intended to help us choose right decision. I've learned now a main usage of this option, and we'll keep this option untouched. Thanks for all comments.

When we add inserting of video clips, it also will require hardware acceleration.

Since version 6.0 Beta PicturesToExe supports icons up to 256x256. 256 colors or True Color with semi-transparency. An icon file (*.ico) is a subset of several subicons (from 16x16 up to 256x256). Any version of Windows will correctly handle universal icon file utilizing known icons.

You know that Project options contains an option "Hardware acceleration (Direct3D)" which is turned on by default. This option came with v5.0 two years ago. Some users disable this option to create a menu project which runs other slideshows. Because simultaneous work of two slideshows with hardware acceleration could slow down PC. But in v5.6 we've added "Run Slideshow" command which provides seamless start of one slideshow from another one having only one slideshow's engine in memory of computer. When slideshow work without hardware acceleration it utilizes special CPU based graphical engine which we should support and continiously test and extend with new features. However now we're experiencing difficulties with adding of new features - when you untick "Hardware acceleration" option it doesn't support Masks, 3D transition effects and 3D transformations, antishimmering (mipmapping). Probably it's time to remove the old mode and always use hardware acceleration for slideshows? It will speed up developement of PicturesToExe and will decrease size of EXE file. If somebody still would like to create a menu sequence, he can use any previous version. What's your opinion on this question?

[3D Transformation] Need explanations about "Z position"
Igor replied to thedom's topic in General Discussion
Dominique, Z Position is a replacement of "Perspective correction" option. Because it's true movement of an object in 3D space using Z Position. You can observe non-linear speed of an object when it moves in 3D space. In next versions. AngleX/Y use speed option of Rotation, because they all three are rotations. Z-Position uses speed for Pan X/Y - all of them are moving of an object by X,Y,Z coordinates. -
3D transformations for objects are available now in Beta 15. We have renamed v5.7 to version 6.0 because it becomes a significant release with many new features. http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10117&view=findpost&p=68945

Sadly that the updated forum version caused many compatibilities issues. Regrettably we can't go back, the new and old versions are not compatible. Earlier or later we had to move to the new version to use latest security updates. I'll forward to Invision (developers of this forum system) all bug-reports regarding v3.0.2 As I know new version works fine with: - Internet Explorer 7 or 8 - Firefox 2 or 3 - Opera 7 or later. - Google Chrome - Safari.
