Thank you for letting me know! We recently updated the forum from v3.0.4 to latest v3.0.5. Apparently it became a reason of this fault. I just reported to Invision support on this issue.

Latest Version of NAV (Norton Anti-Virus) 2010
Igor replied to Lin Evans's topic in General Discussion
Thanks, Lin! I regrettably don't have Norton antivirus on my PC (I use NOD32 at home and Avast at work), VirtusTotal online service has old update which doesn't indicate this false positive. Please could you ask your friend what exact version of PicturesToExe was used to create that executable? -
We've discovered a problem on a server which sends automated emails with license keys for new customers. So today and yesterday many customers didn't receive their license keys for PicturesToExe. New keys will be sent manually during 24 hours after purchasing to all customers. We apologize for this problem and will try fix it as soon as possible!

Updated version 6.0.1 of PicturesToExe Deluxe is available http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup.zip (7.4 MB) Changes in version 6.0.1: + Added support of Korean language. * Improved quality of large text objects (problem of fuzzy text). * Fixed visual bug in the Objects and animation editor when changing size of an Image object from 0% to larger value caused a blurred view of this image. * Fixed visual issue with wrong position of objects in Mac slideshows on some complex slides.

Please try to save EXE file to another folder on another hard disk. If it will not help, can I send you a special test version of PicturesToExe to determine reason of this issue? Thanks in advance!
-
Where do you save executable file of a slideshow - in My documents folder? Do you work under Administrator account in Windows XP? It's strange that with same settings PicturesToExe was able to create once EXE file and failed on second attempt. Probably firewall or antivirus disturbs to PicturesToExe.

Thanks for the confirmation!

1) Did you have same issue with previous version of PicturesToExe 5.6? 2) Please open the next PicturesToExe's folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\WnSoft PicturesToExe\6.0\All\Components\UPX Then rename UPX folder to another name, say UPX2. Will it solve this problem?

Tom, Thank you for the confirmation!

-
Peter, Please try version 6.0.1 Release Candidate 1: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-beta.zip It should solve this issue.
-
It's a temporal problem. Sorry for this problem.
-
I tried this solution and it looks much better.
-
In version 6.0 we've fully rewrote text sub-system. Similar limitation was in previous version, too. I hope we will partially fix it in the updated version 6.0.1
-
Eric, Thanks, I see this problem now. Currently there is a limitation for a text object. Maximal width of text image is 4000 pixels, maximal height is 2000 pixels. Because too large text object may vastly slow down slideshow and utilize significant part of video memory. I understand that there is a lack in this logic and we can improve situation with this limitation. As temporal solution please create and put several text objects into one frame.

Eric, If you see fuzzy text in PicturesToExe 6.0 (not 5.6), please send me files of this project and created EXE file. To reduce size of these files, save this project under another file name. Keep only slide with fuzzy text and remove other slides. Please use Mediafire.com to upload file and give me URL to download the ZIP file. Thanks in advance!

Thank you, Peter! I easily reproduced this bug. We'll fix it in the coming update 6.0.1
-
We plan add support of MP4 audio to the next version.
-
Andrew, Please tell me what exactly did you change in Windows 7 to fix this issue with PicturesToExe?
-
Tom, Yes, by default all created slideshows in executable files (EXE) are protected against modification. If a virus infect a slideshow, it will not work/play and user will see a text warning that EXE file is damaged or infected.

Tom, We'll explore this bug with Mac today. Thanks! P.S. I'm sorry about delays with my replies.
