  1. Roel, Thanks for the screenshots! 1) Please download this special test application: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/OpenDialog_Test.zip (350 KB) Run it, click a buttonm, choose those audio files. Will it freeze? 2) Did you try to add MP3 audio files instead of WMA? Probably the problem caused by particular WMA audio files? 3) If it possible, please send me a sample WMA audio file which caused hungs in PicturesToExe.
  2. Roel, I'd like to specify certain points: 1) Did you try add music in Project options or in the properties of a particular slide? 2) The freezing happens right after you open Project options window and click "Add track" button before you then click "Add music" button? It's a very important point which will help me better understand what happens in the program. 3) What exactly happens after you clicked "Add music" button? Do you see an appeared window to browse audio files? The freezing happens after you've choosed one or more audio files and pressed Open button? Thanks
  3. Roel, You can load and use previously created projects with a new version. It's a base feature of PicturesToExe. Please let me know more details on the issue you've discovered: 1) What version of Windows is installed on your PC? 2) Do you mean that the program hungs/freezes when you just click "Add track"? 3) Please create a sample project in previous version 6.0 with a couple of slides and one MP3 audio file for the background music. Now try to load this project in new version 6.5 and open Project options window on Music tab. Will the program hungs? Thanks in advance,
  4. Ladylike, I apologize that you didn't receive your license key for PicturesToExe Deluxe in time! We just sent you the email with the key again. Ron, It's sadly to see that the more and more mail servers block absolutely harmless attachments together with a letter. Of course, we'll rework license keys in the nearest update of version 6.5 (August-September) and will include a long key data into text of letter. So the user will need to neatly copy/paste it into PicturesToExe. = Key Begin =============== "Key"="03NrQbKLE5fzAHm66DIEiGHrurzszOX4gcB0LX4w65UtXC+ yqqEweeAPvRWhBMK8W9f626bxSJynFO+v4HIZu5ZyPw1aSQRdyZekO hHyRFJ2Q7udyDCYgzL3AzNJg/j8U4oczxIym8gFc2NcPeWZbaEHj5y FvwlqtW6Vi0QpsKVo=""Key"="0reSywzsKAK941U7mwfHceTulPs2 Nx7lpcqRy97CBSDkmy53dvdYQeFTOIMMmbRnKqOjppnr7JXnp3aFOA zvadeb4e/ZwCNJYXueu3TsxZ6myPS2v6nA5NjIJGjEHBLEH6+AYAP1 ZZ6zTghgPSZvQ1ZYF4b98jWiu4371PI3653s=" = Key End =================
  5. Nordlicht, I've sent you personal message. Please reply me.
  6. Eric, Just I published another earlier 6.5.1 beta several days ago. I have no idea why it didn't help, it should. When that problem appeared on my PC in the official version 6.5, I clicked waveform button. I sow no progress bar. But if I wait required time (depending of length of an audip clip) waveform appeared successfully.
  7. Eric, Please make sure that About window (the main menu | Help) displays 6.5.1. And you've downloaded the file by this URL today after my post: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.zip WhatsNew.rtf file has the next record:
  8. Eric, Gwynn, Thank you! With you help I finally reproduced this interesting bug. It appeared when you turned off your PC into hybernation mode during 25 days which saves current state of Windows and opened applications (without shutdown). If performs shurtdown or restart this problem dissappears. A simple mistake in time calculations. Fortunately I used my PC with hybernation during last 25 days and today my PC has reached moment X and I've seen this bug too. So we've fixed this bug in version 6.5.1 Beta: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.zip If you confirm the solution, we'll publish final version 6.5.1 on Monday.
  9. Eric, Gwynn, Thanks, I'll try reproduce this issue now. If you have a camera with video recording please make a video from your display for me.
  10. Thanks, Peter! Indeed it's not too bad. Appearently it's a local bug related only with code of PicturesToExe (fortunately not with a video card or particular version of Windows). So this can be solved when I learn how to reproduce it.
  11. Please answer on my several questions which will help me find reason of this problem: 1) When you face with this bug - do you work (or did you work) with one or two sessions of PicturesToExe simultaneously? 2) Before the moment when the waveform was displayed normally, did you see a progress bar over the timeline? Please see the attached screenshot. 3) If you can easily reproduce this issue, could you please give me step by step instruction? For example: Start PicturesToExe with loaded last project (Project: automatically loaded with background music file) (Timeline: already visible Waveform: already visible) Close PicturesToExe Start PicturesToExe ... 4) Is it possible to record a screen video? Thanks in advance!
  12. Thanks, Ken! We'll rework this place today-tomorrow. P.S. I've united two topics into this one - mistakes in the User Guide.
  13. Barry, No problem! Indeed there should be a warning message when someone turns off this option.
  14. Barry, Yes, I see slight jumps at the beginning of Fade In/Out effect in your sample show. But same in versions 6.5 and 6.0. The reason in fact that you have disabled "Hardware acceleration" option in the Screen tab of the Project options. Without support of a video card we can't guarantee smooth transitions. Please turn on again this option and Fade In/Out effect will be smooth as silk.
  15. That option which Peter and I are suggesting is exactly what you need.
  16. Peter, It's also necessary to recover "Time range" values for the text object (Commmon tab of the Text object in the Objects and animation editor). Indeed .pte project file stores text in 8-bit Unicode format. And executable slideshow also has project data in Unicode format to correctly display textes on different languages in different countries. But when we load a project to the main program of PicturesToExe it converts text from Unicode to ANSI format. Because we have much of legacy code which supports only ANSI. This conversion works correctly if I load a project with French text in France, or Russian text in Russia (more exactly French or Russian locale in settings of Windows). I can't edit text with French symbols on my PC in Russia in PicturesToExe. But if somebody will send me produced EXE file with a slideshow I can see French text without any problem. Let's illustrate it: Project file (Unicode) -> Loaded project to PicturesToExe (converted to ANSI) -> Saved to project file (converted to Unicode) -> Created EXE file for PC or Mac (converted to Unicode). One day we will implement full support of Unicode to the main program of PicturesToExe.
  17. AbdolReza, 1) Just turn on "Wait for a key press or mouse click to show next slide" option (Project options | Main tab). 2) Decrease time intervals between slides. You can set any value, because with the option described above, an each slide will stay on the screen until you click the button or the hyperlink to go next/previous slide.
  18. Ken, Please try version 6.5.1 Beta to make sure that this problem has been completely solved: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.zip
  19. We've fixed this issue for the updated version 6.5.1.
  20. AbdolReza, We found a reason of the text issue in your project. The total duration of your show (13 slides) is about 160 hours (one week). Whereas PicturesToExe can handle a project which not longer than 138 hours. Theoretically I can rework the program to increase these limits, but will it has any practical sense? Please could you tell why you set 13 hour's time interval between slides? You can simply use "Wait for a key press or mouse click to show next slide" option, if I understand rightly your purpose. And adjust "Time range" parameters for objects to recover values in your existing project.
  21. Ken, Thank you, I have reproduced this problem with your sequence. We'll fix it in the nearest update 6.5.1.
  22. Igor

    Kudos

    Thank you!
  23. Eric, Peter, Thanks for letting me know! Regrettably I still unable to reproduce this problem on my PC. I'll try again later.
  24. Ray, This issue related with these particular JPEG images which have embedded color profile. PicturesToExe supports JPEG images only in sRGB format. And it doesn't support JPEGs in Adobe RGB format with a color profile.
  25. AbdolReza, Yes, I see that some problem with text exists there. Probably it's because specific symbols. We'll try to find the reason.
