Thanks, we've finally reproduced similar issue with freezing on our PC.
-
Pierre, Thanks for your help! First problem with freezing 1) Could you please try another test with version 6.0.4. Set again checked "Show real slides in Slide list", and disable "Show real slide in Mini Player". 2) When these both options are turned on and you have this problem, does it happens with you just open a recent projects? Or freezing happens only on adding of a new slides? Issue with Open dialog 1) Do you always have this problem? 2) What exactly happens when you call "Open project"? You see nothing and can continue work with the program, or the main window doesn't responds on mouse clicks? 3) Do you work with one display or multi-display configuration?

Freezing of PicturesToExe under Windows 7 We've prepared a special test version for users of Windows 7 who have a problem with PicturesToExe (freezing of the program on adding of new slides). Please try it: Win7_Test1: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup_Win7_Test1.exe ppenen, You wrote about the second problem with Win7 when Open dialogs in PicturesToExe. So you can't see any open dialog when you click "Open project" in the main window, "Add image object" in O&A editor, "Add music" in Project options | Music tab. Right? Please try this special second test: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/TestWin7Dialogs.exe (500 KB) Click "Button 1" which should show Open dialog if it works normally. Thanks in advance!

We've sent a request to Symantic regarding this false positive with PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.0 slideshows.
-
We tested v4.48 for false positives on http://www.virustotal.com/ru and AVG shows nothing. Probably they've fixed that issue in the latest update?
-
It's a sad news for us. We have lost our friend. I can not imagine PicturesToExe without great contribution of Jean-Pierre Dollangère.

We have a very good progress with fully functional PicturesToExe Deluxe for Mac version. I think beta testing will begin in this year. Before the open beta-testing I'll post an announcement in this section for those who would like to help us with internal alpha testing. Please watch this forum. Our strategy as with previous version 5.0 - adding of features during beta-testing.

Saved "last used image folder" in project file

Where to better store information about images folder: 1) In a project file. Minus: browsing of a folders will case change of a project (modified). Plus: renaming/cloning of a project file in Windows Explorer will remember images folder. 2) In settings of the program. (Plus/Minus are same but inverted.) Ken, You right! My omission. -

Thanks, Peter! This feature will be added to the next version. -
Thank you for asking this question. Yes, my previous post is valid: - For one PC only (for any number of users). - Or only for one user who has two or three PCs (home PC, laptop and PC at his office, for example). We'll add this statement to our website.
-
According our statistics, 70% of our new customers who've purchased PicturesToExe in January still use Windows XP.

Updated version 6.0.2 of PicturesToExe Deluxe is available http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup.zip (7.4 MB) Changes in version 6.0.2: * Fixed problem of v5.00-v6.0.1 with freezing of PicturesToExe on some PCs when user opens "Objects and animation" editor.

[Bug] Another Menu Sequence problem using v6.01
Igor replied to fh1805's topic in General Discussion
Thanks, Peter! We've reproduced several issues and will investigate these problems. -
Peter, In two months, I think.Dave, You will able mix many music files. Eric, 1. Yes.2. Yes. 3. Very reasonable question! Fortunately even decoding of several MP3 music files takes much less than 1% of CPU time, so it's not a problem to play several mixed MP3 files in realtime. The only question in size of EXE file which will include several MP3 files. 4. The work still in progress. But as I see there shouldn't be changes for current workflow. New features available under new buttons and in a new special mode of the timeline. Jean-Pierre, We'll mix music files in realtime without re-encoding. Probably we will add "Export tracks to MP3" option to mix all tracks into one audio file. You will able choose both ways. Etienne, Sorry for this misprint! You're right. of course.

Excuse me for long absence on the forum. We're working on the next version. Probably its version name will be 6.5. Here are some part of new features and changes: - The key feature is an advanced audio manipulations with tracks. Fade in/out, cross-fading, simple virtual editing. - "Insert Blanc Slide" feature. - "Go to slide" will support slide names in addition to slide numbers. - Some improvements for 3D objects, including ability to visually adjust 3D axis in the editor by mouse. Inserting of video clips also in progress already a half of year, but will not be available in the next version yet. We need more time to implement it. A great challenge for PicturesToExe. Also we're working on porting of PicturesToExe to Mac. That's all I can say now.

I'd like to suggest add a word "Solved" to all topic names for resolved problems/issues. Could I ask moderators or topic starters perform this work, please? For example: A music bug? A music bug? [sOLVED] Or here: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11206

We're still trying reproduce these problems with Windows 7 and no luck with it yet. I hope will be more successful in the next year. Thanks for your patience.

I'd like to ask users of Windows 7 who have problems with PicturesToExe 5.5, 5.6 and 6.0. This problem was described as a freezing of the program or Windows when an user starts a new project and add one or several new slides. We still can't reproduce this problem and need more information. All I know presently that Microsoft recently fixed very similar issue related with video drivers when Windows Vista was upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. Please answer on several questions: 1) Brief description of the problem. 2) Edition of Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, etc.) 3) 32-bit or 64-bit? 4) It's a new clean installation of upgrade from Windows XP or Windows Vista? (please specify version of previous Windows - 32-bit or 64-bit)? 5) Did it help solve this problem when you installed all suggested drivers and updated through Windows Update? 6) The problem is resolved now? Thanks in advance!

Hello, Please reply on my questions in that topic: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11198 Thanks,

I applied a suggested temporal solution. It doesn't fully solve the problem, but looks much better in IE7. We're waiting for the final fix in the next Invision forum update.

A confirmation from Invision: It affects to IE7.
