  1. In fact limiting of visibility for an object by setting this time range gives same result as setting 0% opacity at the keyframe. And both methods provide same optimization of a slide - video card doesn't render such object at this moment that actual for slow video cards.
  2. Thank you!
  3. Daniel, Xaver, Bill, Please try latest Release Candidate. How O&A editor works?
  4. PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.0 Release Candidate is available Download link: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-beta.zip (7 MB) Changes in release candidate: + Improved font combo box in the Objects and animation editor. + Updated Welcome screen after installation. + Fixed issue with some old integrated video cards when the Objects and animation editor didn't work.
  5. Tom, I can't reproduce this issue, sorry. 1) Do you always have this problem or rarely? 2) Does copy/paste work in usual mode of Slide list? 3) Can you reproduce it with particular project, or with all projects? 4) Please try to start new project, drag-n-drop several new images (slides). Try to copy-paste slides. 5) Could you try same test with previous version 5.6? 6) What version of your Windows?
  6. Yes, it is because of text objects. In version 6.0 we vectorize text symbols to give users ability use any unique fonts and provide same text view and quality in slideshows under PC and Mac. In next version we will try optimize this process and will use a dictionary of symbols that should vastly reduce text data in an executable file.
  7. What version of PicturesToExe of these created slideshows? It's v4.49 or earlier? The problem comes with a picture (transition effects) or with sound/music, too?
  8. Daniel, Xaver, Bill, I'm very glad! Thank you for the help. We'll prepare official Beta 25 with this fix on Monday.
  9. Xaver, Daniel, Please try updated test version which may fix this issue: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup_Oct-23-2009.zip Here we automatically de-initialize MiniPlayer and Slide list before open O&A editor. If it will help, PTE will suggest this mode to cure this problem. Also please let me know video memory size of your integrated video cards (Press Win+R, type "dxdiag", press Enter, choose third tab "Display" to see video memory).
  10. Did you see these samples of Canon 7D on Vimeo? I really impressed - quality of a picture as in a commercial movie. Ocean http://www.vimeo.com/6992078 (Stunning colors, no color correction during editing) Forest http://www.vimeo.com/7023115 Autumn http://www.vimeo.com/7011771 (Stunning colors, no color correction during editing) Apparently we must hurry with implementing of video clips into slideshows.
  11. Daniel, Thank you! Can I get full source files of this project, please? If file with this filename visible in show, it is OK. Many members use non-latin symbols in filenames.
  12. Thanks, Xaver! No doubts only Intel graphical cards could cause this problem. It seems that their drivers can't perform correctly management of video memory. In previous versions of PTE the program switched to slow software based graphical engine.
  13. Daniel, I prepared special test version. Please ask them download and try it: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/HW_picturestoexe-setup.zip Will it cure the issue with O&A editor?
  14. Daniel, Please ask them for several questions: 1) Do they always have this problem with Beta 22-24? 2) Installed video card. 3) If close PTE and start PTE, and select second slide (view) and try to open O&A editor. Will it work?
  15. PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.0 Beta 24 is available It's Release Candidate. Download link: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-beta.zip (7 MB) Changes in this beta release: + New icon of executable file with a slideshow. * Bug-fixes in the main program of PicturesToExe.
  16. Barry, I reproduced same error message in Beta 23 when I tried to open a project with absent image file used in this project: Beta 21 shows warning that image file not found. Beta 23 crashes with "Floating point division by zero". We just fixed this problem for next Beta 24. However we need your project file to make sure that we completely fixed this issue.
  17. Barry, Please could you send me some project (in ZIP archive) which opens with this error message on your PC?
  18. I just received a reply from AVG company: Will send them again the file and link to this topic.
  19. We'll write to AVG about this false positive. I just tested Beta 23 on VirusTotal.com with 40 antiviruses and no viruses are detected.
  20. PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.0 Beta 23 is available It's Release Candidate. Download link: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-beta.zip (7 MB) Changes in this beta release: + PicturesToExe will show a text warning if you re-save a project file created in elder version of PicturesToExe. + New icon of a project file. + "Angle X" and "Angle Y" parameters in Objects and animation editor were renamed to "Rotate X" and "Rotate Y". * Bug-fixes in the main program of PicturesToExe.
  21. Peter, Probably I reproduced a variant of that issue you've discovered: 1) Clear value in "Rotation" text field. 2) Type minus ("-"). All is OK now. 3) Continue typing "5". 4) Now if I call for Undo. I see lowest negative value. Is it that problem?
  22. Peter, Sorry, I can't reproduce this issue with Beta 22. I started a new project, added one image to the Slide list and open O&A editor. I clear value in "Rotate" text field and type "-" (without double quotes) and then continue typing any negative values. Dominique, We'll discuss it today. Thanks for the suggestion. Dominique, I confirm this bug. Thanks! Xaver, Peter, OK, I'll add this warning. Also since version 6.0 PicturesToExe will able load project files re-saved in future versions. With a warning message of course. To avoid need edit .pte file in Notepad.
  23. Umberto, Regrettably there are pitfalls in this algorithm. I wouldn't add such serious change hastily, because for the next version probably we will find much better solution. We think it would be some kind of an option so it will not cause an issue with backward compatibility. We're trying add changes step-by-step, for example alpha version of 3D objects was implemented already in v5.6 in the hidden mode.
  24. Peter, Thanks, I understand now. This behaviour of the program exists since version 5.0 And related with a fact that child object linked with its parent object via central point. So when you move center point (by Shift+mouse) of a parent we re-calculate Pan X,Y coordinate of the parent object (you can observe it in Animation tab). But we don't change coordinates of child objects. It's a difficult question - should we do this or not?
