  1. I Loved the Anna story. Thanks!
  2. You're the cute old mature guy that makes everyone around you Happy Happy Happy! Eneregtic. Always up to some mischief. Always finding some reason to dance and get other people dancing.
  3. Something about this made me think of you
  4. What a wonderful luxury to be in places and situations where you can shoot with a tripod or even be able to carry a tripod. Sometimes we can. Other times we use rocks or poles or our unsteady hands. Just because it isn't shot from a tripod doesn't mean it cant be high quality professional work. Those of us who have no choice but to shoot this way are very grateful for image stabilizing software.
  5. I use all three. I just wondered if you had any light to add 1. Bridge is a better "Browser" even if terribly antiquated -- unless you import photos into LR. Then there is nothing else like LR for browsing. 2. Bridge is better for producing multi-page/object PDF's 3. Bridge is better for quick RAW editing of smart objects 4. Peter mentioned the advantage of a Bridge collection to PS Layers stack 5. Bridge is better for coordinating multi-media compilations I can't think of any other advantages. In every other way, Lightroom is immensely superior to Bridge. I am not throwing Photoshop into the equation--it is a different creature for a different purpose. Not sure why they even need compared. I guess there some overlap as your PDF indicates. Actually Bridge works just fine independently of Photoshop. You should know that. http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/adobe-bridge.html Users who have Bridge but have never used it would likely perform 95% of the same tasks far more easily in Lightroom. Guiding such people to Bridge may be a few years outdated. This is what Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowsi say: http://scottkelby.com/2011/100-ways-lightroom-kicks-the-bridge-and-camera-raws-a/ Those still wanting an introduction to Bridge will find a lot of value in your excellent PDF document.
  6. What can Bridge do that Lightroom cannot do better?
  7. ...and I love your photos. Thanks.
  8. Wish I could have bought your 16-35--just one of them.
  9. I also know that country well and How I miss it!
  10. I use Chrome with adblockplus. No ads ever from mediafire. Its barebones clean and just works.
  11. Thanks! This is good progress. How are you guys so smart? This is way better than Picasa ever had!
  12. Now, how about a transition pans, zooms and that also dissolves from one slide to the next?
  13. Thanks to both of you. You are wonderful even if you hadn't fixed my problem, but you did!
  14. Thanks! That is a great leap forward. In fact, that is VERY helpful! And to think what else could be done with that! Double thanks!
  15. Sadly, Picasa Photo Screensaver no longer works with my Windows 8--at least the pan-zoom mode does not work with dual monitors. Solution: Create my screensavers in PTE. ...but... Problem: I love the pan and zoom slide styles but don't want to apply them one by one to hundreds of slides. Question: Is there a way, without going slide by slide, to randomize or create recurring patterns such as zoom in-zoom out-pan left-pan right, etc.? Thanks, jk
  16. Ohhh! Surely you are a saint! It works!
  17. I am able to only run one slide show, exe or scr at a time with two monitors. If one screen is activated that screen will run but the other screen is suspended. I guess the computer or Graphics card makes that decision? Is there a way using one computer two run 2 different simultaneous instances of exe and/or scr?
  18. I found it in Evernote! To use the -display 2 command within a short-cut file. Just create a short-cut file(s) of your slideshow(s). Right-click the short-cut file and select Properties | Shortcut tab. Enter/Edit the -display 2 command at the end of the Target filestring. Play the shortcut file to see the slideshow on display 2 If you made a menu to play the slideshows ... you can use the -display 2 command inside with your button commands.
  19. I think this topic has shown up a least a couple times, even recently, but I cannot find the solution. How do you set up a slide show to start on a secondary monitor? Thanks, JK
  20. Fixed. Thanks again.
  21. Thanks. I wish cookies had been the solution. Unfortunately all my cookies have been eaten. So, any solutions?
  22. I hate to be a bother, but I cannot log in to Slideshow Club now. I am probably doing something silly, perhaps it's a password issue. I tried clicking on "Contact the community administrator" which takes me to an empty screen. Should I just make a new profile?
  23. I imagine the best of both worlds. Leave the button as it is, but have a large, bright, cheery (not too bright or cheery, please) green check mark indicating "mission accomplished"--like install programs often have.
  24. 86 F degrees. No white Christmas here! Melaka, Batu Ferringhi, etc. 4000 photos in the last few weeks. :unsure:/>
  25. I have often wished PTE could have Asian localization and manuals. There are a lot of camera enthusiasts in Japan and China. English is far from universal in those places, However it is common enough that most of the under-40 age group can figure out English menus--and often their reading and writing is quite good. Japanese and Chinese Localization are probably much less important (though easy to do--and enhances initial visual appeal) than having a basic manual. Manuals, even quite basic ones in Mandarin or Japanese could broaden the market in those places. Because of the need for revision, maintaining manuals in such languages could be laborious. The time and energy might be better placed in program development. Just a thought. Other thoughts?
